We love our members, so here's what we've done for you lately!
Visit our Device Guide to learn about all the ways to read NetGalley files. We’ve updated it to include new devices like the Kindle Fire and Kobo Vox, as well as the Kindle app for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch!
We've added a new section called My NetGalley Activity where you can see your activity and stats.
Where in the world are you?
With so many publishers outside of North America now participating in NetGalley, it's become important for publishers to know what country you reside in, so they can make sure they have territory rights to share galleys with you. Please take a minute to update your Country information in the My Profile section, as country will now automatically appear as part of your Bio when you request a title. Just click on My Profile, and then Contact Information.
Note: NetGalley will NEVER reveal your address, phone or email without your permission. You can manage your privacy preferences in your Public Bio, under Visibility.
Who are you on Twitter?
If you use Twitter, be sure to include your handle in your NetGalley Profile. Publishers will often follow you when you provide a Twitter handle, and use Twitter to share early news about book promotions, author events and contests. You can follow us at @NetGalley.
What did you think of that title?
More than anything, publishers and authors want to know what you thought about their book. This is important for reviewers and bloggers, but also for librarians and booksellers!
Use the Manage My Reviews page in NetGalley to share your feedback (Did you order the title for your collection/store/inventory? Are you hand-selling it in your store or recommending to library patrons? Do you want to book an event with the author?). Make sure to select "Review Completed" before pressing Save & Close.
Remember, feedback is only shared directly with the publisher, and it's easy, valuable to publishers, and probably good for your karma, too.
Finally, are you a librarian?
If you are a librarian, and belong to the American Library Association, you can now add your ALA member number to your NetGalley Profile. Adding your member number will help publishers approve your requests more quickly. More info here.
Review Organizations using NetGalley:
We recently launched a new page highlighting review sites and organizations who accept digital galleys via NetGalley. See here for the list of Review Organizations on NetGalley. To become a listed review organization accepting NetGalley files, please see our submission page to submit your information to NetGalley.
NetGalley Roundups:
We've started a NetGalley Roundups page –- showcasing galleys in the genres you love. Following our schedule, we’ll tell you by email which new titles are available for request in that genre. Make sure you’re signed up to receive our Newsletters by Genre here. Plus, we’ll announce which title from that newsletter was the Most Requested! Be sure to check back to see if it’s your favorite. Are you a librarian? Check out our NetGalley at the Library newsletters!
