This is an absolutely beautiful book with a delightful story and the most charming illustrations.
I teach English as a foreign language, and for my littlest students that involves lots of storytelling and activities around the themes of the story. I can see this adorable tale quickly becoming a firm favourite. Argyle Fox's creativity is a great message for little ones, and parents, teachers and kids will have lots of fun mimicking him. I support the message of finding your own fun, making your own entertainment, and letting kids get bored because that is when their imaginations will wake up - no screen time for us!!
I had the chance to read a preview copy of the book thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, and I will be keeping an eye out for this one when it comes out!!

This is such a cute book! The illustrations are just adorable, and the story tells us to never give up!

Suitable for beginning readers, this is a short book about learning to think creatively.
Argyle Fox has no one else to play with at the moment but he has a lot of toys and many ideas.
While not all of his ideas have the desired results, he does not give up. He continues to try.
When discouraged, his parents encourage him to try again.
The images are delightful and the colors bright. I enjoyed the birds participation.

I seriously loved this book. It's written very well and is thought-provoking for children and adults. I found myself lost in the children's book story. I loved everything about this book. The art is gorgeous with many cute details, and it's perfect for this time of year too.

Argyle Fox is a cute book that could work great as a storytime read. I also really enjoyed the beautiful illustrations.

Oh how I love this book! The illustrations are epic! The last page is my favorite- it is frame worthy! I love the story about Argyle's determination to play outside! Finally he figures out what is the right thing to play on a windy day! It is my favorite thing to do- to go fly kites! I will be buying this book for my children and our friends.

Argyle Fox is an adorable story by author Marie Letourneau about a young fox who lives in a tree in the forest. Argyle decides he wants to play outside. Although his mother and the forest animals warn Argyle that the games he has chosen can't be played with the wind blowing about, he still chooses to play them only to be disappointed and upset. When he comes home frustrated, his mother encourages him to think of something he can play in the wind.

This was an absolutely adorable book with beautiful illustrations. Argyle is a sweet and clever fox that when he puts his mind to it, figures a way to finally play in the wind. Ms. Letourneau is also the illustrator for the book and she did a fabulous job of creating a colorful picture book that fits perfectly with the story told. I highly recommend this book and would love to see more stories on Argyle Fox and the forest animals!

Argyle Fox by Marie Letourneau is a story of a young fox who wants to play outside on a windy day. Over and over and over again he tries to find different ways to play, but the wind keeps winning and Argyle's playtime keeps getting interrupted and disturbed, forcing him to find 'yet another' way to play outside. He finally gets frustrated enough that decides to quit playing outside on windy days forever. However, with a gentle push from his mother he thinks up a way that he can play outside 'with' the wind.

Lovely little story of never giving up and not letting disappointments keep you down. The pictures are lovely and give off a happy, serene vibe that help tell Argyle's story.

Recommended age is 3-7. With this story, I can certainly see some of Argyle's games being acted out by the reader as well as the wind sounds. I also appreciated how Argyle cleans up after himself and puts his things away.

“Argyle Fox” by Marie Letourneau was a great children’s book about problem solving, about trying again after you fail, and perseverance in the face of adversity. Ms. Letourneau is both the author and illustrator of this whimsical and beautiful children’s book. Her illustrations are both vibrant and intriguing. They add detail to the story without adding words.

The story follows Argyle Fox’s attempts to play with various toys and games on a windy day. Despite the numerous warnings about what to play with, he keeps trying new things and refuses to get discouraged.

I loved the themes in the book as well as the ultimate message. I didn’t really find any “flaws” without it that would keep me from recommending it to others.

Aimed at younger readers (3-7 years old) this would be a wonderful read-along or read-to-me selection. There's a great range of potential for character voices and sound effects if you're reading this to your young ones.

Argyle Fox is a youngster whose outdoor playtime keeps getting interrupted by the wind. It blows down his card tower, messes up his yarn spider web, blows his pirate hat away, and wrecks his castle. When Argyle's mother encourages him to think creatively, he finds a solution that he can be happy with.

This book does a wonderful job of showing that challenges can be opportunities for learning and advancement and it does so without being strident or preachy. It's a lovely message of perseverance and innovation.

I really enjoyed this little book. The illustrations are beautifully done and are full of small subtle details that would enhance a co-op read through with a youngster.

Argyle is a clever young fox determined to play outside. Strong winds spoil every idea he has, but Argyle doesn’t give up. Despite his neighbors and friends telling him that it’s too windy for his activities, Argyle continues his attempts. A collapsed house of cards and a newspaper pirate hat whisked from his head are two things that went wrong, keeping Argyle from having fun day.

Argyle is persistent, but becomes frustrated that his ideas aren’t working. He dutifully gathers up his wind-scattered toys and heads home where he vows never to play in the wind again. Knowing Argyle is upset, his mother gently encourages him to think for awhile, and renews his confidence.

Can Argyle use his imagination to come up with something fun to do in the wind?

Argyle Fox by Marie Letourneau is a beautifully illustrated book. On almost every page, I notice some detail I’d missed during a previous read through. (“THIS END UP” on the cardboard castle and the playing cards cut as kite tail decorations were favorites.) The cover caught my eye initially, and the rest of the book didn’t disappoint. While Argyle Fox uses his imagination in order to play in the wind outdoors, this book would be the perfect inspiration for kids finding an indoor activity on rainy days. I’m looking forward to adding this one to my collection!

I wasn't sure what to expect, but I enjoyed reading this. An interesting story with fun characters. Well written.

“Argyle Fox” is an adorable, simple, little book about the games that small children might want to play in the outdoors, from playing football to pretending to be a spider.

This cute and delightful tale is beautifully and vibrantly illustrated using different animals such as squirrels and beavers throughout the story. The book focuses on children’s emotions and the reader is encouraged to find their own solutions to problems, such as the different games you can play outside when the weather is windy.

I recommend this lovely storybook to both children and adults and I think it would make a very nice addition to the family library.
