Tiny Travelers always has wonderful books. I really love them. Unfortunately, I am unable to download this book. I was unable to download the other Tiny Travelers, Puerto Rico one to. They have already been published, but had no shelf date. I have just gotten them. I am unsure what the problem is, but wanted to let you know since it’s import to read the book and review it.
Unfortunately, I am unable to. I am not having this problem with other NetGalley books are the App.
Thank you for sending me a copy. I really appreciate the effort.
Such a good book. This would be good for a classroom that is learning about China. It would be a great classroom library book!!
This book has really cute illustrations, some words shown in Chinese and many items from the cu,true and well known in the country. Each page has a did you know section as well as something to search for like a scavenger hunt. Multiple ages could like this book, older kids for the facts and did you know section and younger kids could look for the hidden pictures.
China Treasure Quest is one volume in the Tiny Travelers series for small children. Using rhyming text, this volume introduces kids to a variety of China's places, holidays, and other cultural features, such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the bamboo forests and their pandas, the Dragon Boat Festival, Chinese New Year, and the Chinese opera.
Each page is colorfully illustrated, using young many children in the pictures. A;; pages introduce a tidbit of "Did You Know?"trivia and challenge kids to find something in the picture (for example, the red panda among great pandas). From page to page, children can also search for the orange tiger-striped cat hidden, which appears somewhere in the drawing.
China Travel Quest is a cute and engaging way to introduce preschoolers and early elementary students to the world's most populous country and to help them learn that geography can be fun.
This is my first book in the series of "Tiny Travelers - Treasure Quest". I simply selected the book due to its attractive cover.
The book is conceptualized for kids. It has 13 colorful pages (including front and back covers). Each page is dedicated to a different category. Starting from the economic hub, travelers' most favorite places, the great wall of China, traditional & cultural festivals, animals that can be seen in only China, etc.
A colorful informative book for kids. For their entertainment, small puzzles and tickets are also provided on each page. If your kid likes to know about different places and people then he or she will definitely like this book.
I love the Tiny Travelers series and they did not disappoint in allowing my Tiny Travelers a glimpse into China. The illustrations were awesome, the rhyming is always a big win, and it caught my children’s attention from the start and it was very engaging. I easily recommend this series to other parents.
I voluntarily reviewed this free receiving a free copy.
Overall my kids and I really liked this book. The little bits of history, word pronunciation, along with colorful illustrations and even the 'find it' semi-hidden pictures made this a really fun exploration. I will be ordering it for our home library and cant wait to check out the entire series. This works well for a variety of ages as I feel they can pick up on things and then build up on that knowledge. Wish it was a bit longer however,.
We are using this in our trip around the world homeschool unit study and this book is so cute with bright illustrations. It engages our kiddos all while educating them!
The Tiny Travelers books are such a fun way to get kids interested in other countries customs, festivals, and celebrations. This book has fun and interesting facts combined with a search and find on each page. Highly recommend the Tiny Travelers books to families planning to travel with smaller children as these are entertaining and educational.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.
What was cute? The rhyming text, colorful art, Chinese words to practice and learn, a visual treasure hunt.
What could have been better? Would have loved to have seen more clever visual moments so each time the child looks at this, s/he sees something new. More Chinese, but I felt it could have benefited from a phonetic pronunciation so folks can feel more confident in saying it.
Tiny Travelers China Treasure Quest is a great book that teaches children about Chinese culture. The illustrations are bright and beautiful and really engage young readers. The hide and seek game on every page is lots of fun. This is a great book to learn more about another culture.
Many thanks to Encantos Media Studios and NetGalley for the advance copy.
Full of colorful illustrations, fun rhymes, and tidbits of information, Tiny Travelers China Treasure Quest is a new favorite with our family. My children liked the treasure hunt, as well as learning about some of the regions of China. My children are part Chinese and loved repeating some of the Chinese vocabulary, as well as seeing some items they are familiar with (like the Lunar New Year celebration). We can't wait to read other books in this series!
A fun and educational book! Filled with facts, gorgeous artwork, and fun seeking games, this book is a perfect little travel adventure! A great glimpse into a new land and culture.
Colorful Book Introduces China to Children
This is a vividly illustrated picture book that introduces young children to China and Chinese culture. Each two-page spread is dedicated to a particular place or aspect of culture, like the Great Wall of China or Chinese New Year. Rhyming sentences and phrases tell the child more about the place or cultural element depicted. The book is beautiful to look at and a great way to show someplace different in the world to kids.
I already had read one of these books and this one did not disappoint either! Blown away! The research that went into these books is astounding! The level of care and placement of the pictures was something else!! I adore it! I could have read this one to my girls a dozen times and not been bored. I highly recommend it and any others in this series. Must have for any kids library!
This lovely book is told in verse while teaching children about China. The illustrations, which are bold and colorful add to the book, making it extremely engaging for children as they learn about China, it's landmarks, customs and culture. Each page provides the opportunity for children to extend their learning by offering children an additional "did you know?" fact as well as a treasure hunt. This book is a wonderful addition to any child's or classroom library.
Tiny Travelers China Treasure Quest is an adorable travel book to introduce little ones to many of the interesting locations and traditions of China. The illustrations are beautiful and make the country come live for the reader. The quests help to make sure children are engaged in the story.
I would recommend this book to children who travel to China with family or as part of an educational unit.
Thank you to Encantos Media Studios and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.
A rhyming book for young explorers. It has famous places in China, some facts, some Chinese terms and cultural references. It is fun to search for the treasure in each page. Illustrations are bright and colourful.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the eARC.
This installment of the series is chock full of super happy pictures of kids and families enjoying themselves while eating, traveling, and celebrating holidays. My favorite picture is the one of all of the pandas rolling and lounging, because who doesn't love pandas?
The story is told through rhyming verse which usually works well in this installment. Bolded vocabulary words have their Chinese character equivalents next to them. If the word is in English, it also has the English transcription of the words in Chinese.
Each page has a little treasure hunt in a box in the corner. And fun facts are sprinkled throughout for the more advanced readers.
It's a cute introduction to China and the Chinese culture.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for supplying me with a requested review copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
