I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. Interesting story. I found a little bit of it unrealistic but if you like complicated medieval romance you might like this story.

Where to begin...
It started off well enough and I enjoyed feisty and mouthy Griselda, the scenes with Hugh were steamy, but then Grizelda made one dumb decision after another turning into this cowed and naive girl, then back into "the falconess" who can take care of herself and can forget about her stolen baby by bonding with a new falcon. I found the characters to be inconsistent. Sir Hugh doesn't seem to be a horrible human being on the first glance, but he is and I cannot root for a character like this. Lying, denying her and the child he fathered and just plainly toying with her and leaving her with his wife?!
There are only so many bad decisions I can handle in a book.
On a positive note, the writing was well done and the original idea was great.

Thank you Netgalley for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
