Appearances can be deceiving. Some parts were steamy whereas most were very cheesy and hard to get through.

An intense Mafia story that will entice you to find out what will happen next. I was definitely intrigued to read this story after hearing so much about it.

I like a dark romance. This was definitely that. I somewhat struggled with the author's storytelling, though. Possibly because I watched the movie before I read the book (gasp!). Overall, I thought it was "ok".

If you're looking for a mafia romance over here, be careful for what you wish for. Appearances can be deceiving sometimes.

365 Days by Blanka Lipinska - If you're into dark mafia/romanctic suspense series like Shades of Grey or Crossfire then I think you might like this book. This book sold over a million copies worldwide and was made into a Netflix movie. I read in January of 2022 because of all the buzz the movie was getting. While I haven't read any other books by the author, I own the second book in the series.

So glad I read the book before watching the Netflix adaptation. It was so well written and steamy my brain was blown….this was one of my favourite books of the last 3 years. Would recommend times 100!!!

Every single time I read a Blanka Lipinska book, I am once again wow’d by her ability to create a work of genius!! She has the ability to write about topics that are difficult for most writers, but she does it with passion, and heart.

You will be intrigued from the moment you open the book, till you reach that last page. Make sure you are ready to read for the long haul, because you won’t be able to put this book down. This passionate novel will be one you must read!!!

This book had some ups and downs for me. The characters were likable at times. But I did find times I wasn't a fan of them. The story itself was pretty good. But I think my lack of connection to the characters was the downfall of this read for me

This was an intense and emotional love story. Having watched the movie before I read the book it complemented it very well. The author kept things moving and us the readers on high alert throughout the whole book.

Absolutely not. The pacing and plot make no sense. It's just sex scenes. It's 50 Shades, Mafia style.

Having watched the Netflix movie before reading this, I was pleasantly surprised. It is true the book is always better. But it ends differently and now I'm left waiting for the sequel. Of course.

Books like this sometimes are hard for me to take very seriously but this story is so crazy that I HAD to know about it. I’m not a huge fan of our female MC to be honest but she’s in an impossible CRAZY situation soooo it’s hard to make a valid opinion.

This book is super good. I loved every minute of it and it held my interest and I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. While I found the character unlikeable in some ways, they still found a way into my heart.

I just couldn’t read this. I tried and tried but I just could not keep going. I didn’t realize I have a trigger but here it is. So this is a case of, “it’s not you, it’s me.”

This book is the first in a trilogy. Laura and her boyfriend are on vacation in Sicily. On the second day of their trip, her twenty-ninth birthday, she is kidnapped. Her kidnapper is none other than the head of a powerful Sicilian crime family, the incredibly handsome, young Don Massimo Torricelli, who is determined to possess her at all costs.

He tells Laura that he will make her fall in love with him and asks her to give him one year. If she doesn’t fall in love with him during this time, he will let her go. But if she tries to escape at any point, he will track her down and kill her entire family.

I shouldn’t want this relationship to work but I kinda do. I enjoyed this book (even though I yelled at Laura for being stupid several times ). I recommend it if you are a fan of fifty shades of gray and those type of books.

was a really sexy book. all of the characters were totally believeable. the storyline was good. I was happy that I read the book before I watched the series. Loves this book.
