I have received this book as an ARC in return for an honest review. So, just like im sure most other people I watched the movie on Netflix. I was so excited when I heard the book was going to release in English. I always find it really hard to enjoy a book after watching the movie. This was definitely not the case. This book was amazing. This book will push you to the edge to pull you back in again. This book was quite different from the movie in my opinion. I really loved the dynamic between to the two main characters. Laura was strong willed a lot of the time which I love to see and the male lead was rough and gritty but you could tell how much he fell in love with her. The author does a perfect job of showing him being a ruthless mafia boss, but being so sweet with Laura. If you have triggers this book may not be a book for you, but if you love a dark romance that will push you boundaries this book is for you. I can't wait to read the next book!

This was a great read! I was a fan of the movie on Netflix so I knew I wanted to read the book. The movie hot but the book was hotter.

I watched to movies first so I knew what I was getting but the book is different and that’s good.

I loved the interaction between Massimo and Laura because they both know what they want and they are willing to do most anything to get it.

This is definitely dark erotica and it is very hot. If that’s not your thing then you know that now but I recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed 50 shades and other books similar to that.

I hope to find out what happens next and I hope to see the next movie too.

I requested this book by mistake. I had seen there was a movie out and wanted to read about the book it was based off of. Having been approved, I attempted to read it but after 15% it proved to be something I could not continue. I don’t mind kink or erotica, but I’m not really okay with what is happening on the page. This much dominance and force isn’t a turn on, it’s disarming. I won’t be finishing this arc, but I won’t post any negative reviews either since I haven’t finished it.

Was great. I got to see the movie and now the book. Oh yeah. Both are satisfying. I liked this. Good stuff.

I couldn't do this. It was hard to follow, lacked details that were important, consistency with the characters, and just overall bad writing.

This mafia romance is okay, with interesting side characters that add to the drama. If readers have already seen the Netflix film based on this book, they will know what to expect, but there are definite trigger warnings of lack of consent, sexual abuse, and being drugged for those going in blind.

OK so I admit it I've picked up the book bc I was curious after all the fuss that surrounded the movie in the hopes to understand why it received so much attention. And after reading it I can only imagine a lot of women were very ummmm in need of an escape and didn't care about the plot or characters. If I ignore the fact that the writing was just terrible and the book made even less sense than the movie I had a good laugh so that's why I'm giving it 3 stars bc I haven't laughed so hard about a book in a while

* I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I have never been more frustrated with the ending a book in my life! The book ends in the middle of a conversation!! I get wanting a cliff hanger before going into the second book but come on!! The ending was so sudden and unexpected to me. The build up that preceded it made it seem like there would be at least another one hundred or so pages. Aside from the abrupt cliff hanger ending, I enjoyed this book. I liked the cheesiness. I liked the steam. Not a huge fan of the kidnapping portion and how quickly Laura seems to fall in love with the man who kidnapped her, drugged her ex-boyfriend and threatened to kill her family. Maybe it's just me but those seem like some pretty big deal breakers. If you enjoy steamy book, definitely pick this one up.

This gets 3 stars because it was well written. I didn’t care for the storyline: just too many wrong things. There is nothing romantic about an abusive relationship and I don’t like for it to be glamorized. There are plenty of readers who may love this though.
Many thanks to Atria Books and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

While I greatly enjoyed this book it was not without it's problems. I'm not sure if the disconnect with the character's behaviors is a case of lost in translation or if the author genuinely needs to get a better editor. While the reader wants to like the characters, especially the character Massimo, it was hard to decide whether one was coming or going emotionally. The fundamental issue I had was Massimo is presented at the very start of the book as being dark, dangerous and quite frankly a rapist. This was such an issue that I almost did not continue on. There is a difference between tall, dark, and dangerous and tall, dark, and sociopathic that the author just seemed to be unable to keep separate. Eventually the book somewhat settles only to emotionally start up again with the character Laura. One minute there is love and connection happening with Laura and Massimo and the next Laura is terrified and running. The reader does not know if she is coming or going. As a reader I wanted to fall in love with the fantasy of being swept off one's feet by a rich, powerful, and dangerous man but it was simply too hard to get behind. I even dare to say that the movie (which has it's own issues) is a better version of a highly flawed story.

I expected to truly enjoy this book. Unfortunately, it fell flat. I think part of the reason is because, in my opinion, the translation wasn't the greatest. I feel like a lot got left out or lost in translation, which made the story, well, flat and static.

Trigger warning. Nonconsensual / Stockholm rape / sex slave scenario. First, let me be honest, it is what is considered a “dark romance”, if that isn’t your thing, then this will not be the book for you. If you were a fan of 50 Shades, then you might love it. This book was translated from its original language, so it is stilted at time. This is an escape from your daily life read, soft porn, (well maybe not so soft).

365 days to make you fall in love with me, seems simple enough. If only Mossimo's plan would work for Laura works.
Now, I am not going to lie, I wish this would have been translated to English a long time ago. Being that it has been made into a movie for Netflix and widely talked about, I knew what the story was going into it. That being said, this reminds me of the first time I read Fifty Shades, not the best writing but the idea was original and a good jumping-off point.
Mossimo sees Laura on the worst day of his life and has made it his mission to get her once things have been dealt with concerning his father's murder. This leads to him stalking her while on holiday and eventually taking her. Of course, she is afraid and uncooperative with Mossimos wishes for her. With the plan laid out to her, she is not a fan and I think she becomes this sort of a brat.
With the basis of the book surrounding the HOT HOT HOT scene's between Mossimo and himself, a stand-in Laura and eventually Laura, it is a steamy read.
I sadly stumbled upon the 365 dai group on Facebook and they have basically laid out n=books 2&3 since they are available in different languages, so I know what happens.
This is 3 books and each ending with a cliffhanger, which I am not a fan of. Bit It was that way with the FIfty series, so once again I can deal with it.
Good read I just think it got lost in translation with the movie being out and so many people having seen it just feels a little too late.
WE all know that the book is always better than the movie and in this case, I was just not interested in reading something that I had so much knowledge about already.

I’m sure there’s an audience for this book, but it wasn’t me. I think the author does a great job letting you know what kind of person the MC is right away, and that made me read hesitantly, not because it’s explicit (it’s no secret) but because it’s violent. Not into it.

Unapologetically Loved it.
It will be very controversial due to the dozens of potential triggers. But it was Dark and delicious. It was well written and easy to read. If you loved the movie you will love the book even more. Definitely not for safe readers.

I wouldn't have read this unless the movie had been made. I truly cannot express how much I was annoyed by this cringe. I had hoped the book would be a bit better, but I am just lost (lost baby girl). oooof.

Okay, I read this book thanks to Netflix. Let's be honest, this is darker.... like fully in the black, no grey area whatsoever.

I don't connect with Lara at all, her attitude just throws me off (yes, I understand her circumstances, but LAWD). I also couldn't handle her addiction and abuse. Honestly, while good.... it did leave me "meh".

Wow! Now that was a rollercoaster ride. Let me tell you, not only have I not read anything about the book before now, I also didn’t see it on Netflix. This was hot. Plain and simple!

Like many people, I saw the Netflix movie (365 DNI) and was interested in seeing if the book followed it closely. For the most part, it did. It was definitely steamy and dark, but I felt like the chemistry wasn't as strong between the main characters as I would have liked. There were also some translation issues since this book was originally published in another language. Overall, a decent read but not my fave.
