I picked this solely out of curiosity for this "format" of "book club kit". The list of suggested questions is interesting, and it made me want to get the actual novel. But as for this kit, maybe they could enrich it with more information to guide the conversations, especially for newbies at conducting such clubs.
The Midnight Library was one of those books that showed so much promise... and then completely delivered! It's a book I was raving about for days while reading it, I wanted everyone to experience the same content so we could talk about it, tear down the diction and just fully emerce myself in the world that Matt Haig created.
I could so relate with the protagonist in terms of feeling lost, and the hope I felt when she started to want to live, each glimmer of joy in the experienced lives was a glimmer of joy in my life.
Highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to escape - the grass is not always greener...
This is a book club must have.
Super helpful and i will be using this as my book blue reads this book.
Glad to have it as an option.
Thanks to the Matt Haig, Penguin Random House samples and Netgalley for the book club kit in exchange for my honest review.
I downloaded this kit not necessarily for a book club meeting, but for personal use. I wanted to read Midnight Library and thought it might be interesting to read it as if in a book club and ponder possible questions that might arise. This kit was helpful in reaching a deeper and more thoughtful analysis of the story. I appreciated the availability of the club kit.
This was a pretty good straight forward read. It was different from the types of books that Iβm used to but I enjoyed it.
Unfortunately, the formatting wasn't good on this guide but from what I could gather...seems like there are some useful questions and content.
Have read book and plan to put it up for next bookclub pick. Feel there are many parts conducive to form many different reactions from different opinions.

I have read the Midnight Library and I loved it. It's even better now that we have this very nice book club tool to discuss this awesome book! I wish that it's a bit longer but I guess this is enough to discuss in the group.
This is kind of lacking for what itβs supposed to be. I thought there would be more to it.
However the discussion questions were good prompts, so over all Iβd say itβs okay.
As far as book kits go, this one is disappointing. It contains discussion questions and an author interview, but none of the other goodies I've come to expect. I still appreciate the resource though!
πβ¨ Diving into "The Midnight Library": Where Choices Have Their Payoffs β¨π
"Regrets and choices are intertwined threads in the fabric of life." ππ
π "The Midnight Library" by Matt Haig is a captivating journey through the corridors of what-ifs and could-have-beens. As I turned its pages, I found myself pondering the profound truth that choices truly have their payoffs.
Nora Seed's story is a mirror reflecting our own moments of doubt and wonder about the paths not taken. π β¨ Stepping into the Midnight Library, she explores lives she could have led, each with its own set of decisions, outcomes, and lessons. Through Nora's eyes, we witness the intricate dance between dreams and reality, and the realization that our choices shape our world.
π This novel isn't just a whimsical escape; it's a reflection on life's ebbs and flows. It reminds us that while regrets are part of being human, they don't define us. Rather, they propel us forward to understand what truly matters. "The Midnight Library" beautifully illustrates that even in the vast expanse of parallel lives, one can discover the power of now.
π So, here's to embracing our choices, celebrating our uniqueness, and recognizing that every path we take contributes to the masterpiece of our existence. Whether in the realm of fiction or reality, the concept remains: choices have their payoffs.
Having read some of Matt Haig's nonfiction works, I loved the insight in some of the discussion questions regarding some more personal experiences. Additionally, I thought the author interview provided some great context to so of the themes featured in The Midnight Library that some readers may not have been aware of prior.
I love this book club kit!! I downloaded it in case my book club finally gets around to it, but I also plan to use it for myself whenever I read it. I love that there are interview questions and answers with the author! The questions are also great ones I would have never came up with myself.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book, Interesting and insightful read. Subject matter attracted me to read this book. Loved the writing style.
An exquisite book that is perfect for book clubs. I will share this with our adult book club - they'll appreciate having a resource to guide discussion.
This book was fantastic. I loved the plot, the flow of writing, the element of magic, the overarching feeling of sadness. Most of all I loved how it made me think deeply. I canβt compare this book to anything Iβve read before. Itβs a unique piece of work. This would make a wonderful book club pick - it leaves room for lots of conversation and topics.
Thanks to the author, Penguin Random House Samplers and NetGalley for an e-book in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you for accepting my request for this book ! I reviewed it on Goodreads. 3.5 star rating. I hated that i wasnβt able to connect with the characters that well
Good book. Good add on for reading. I accidently asked for this one so I had to purchase the book to go along with it. Glad I did. If I were rating the book itself, the rating would be higher.
I read this book over a year ago and loved it! So obviously when I found out there was a book club kit I had to get it! This book club kit is perfect for having a nice light hearted conversation with book club. They complement the book really well. Canβt wait to use this for my book club soon.
When identifying a book for a club the kits and guides are the most important part to a stimulating, productive conversation. The discussion questions provided allow for a wide range of conversation depths. From some surface level get-to-know-you questions, to those that make you internally reflect, I think this kit is suitable for any book club. Although, it should be noted this feels to be intended for a more lighthearted feel with fun conversations. More advanced book clubs may be left wanting a bit more debate and inquisitive questions to finish with. Overall, I enjoyed the variety and hope to see this book and kit talked about more often for book club recommendations.
