Thank you to Random House Publishers for this sample. The Book Club Kit for Such a Fun Age includes two cocktail recipes (based on the characters), a set of discussion questions and a conversation with the author about aspects of her writing and the inspiration. I learned there is a film adaptation of Such a Fun Age and I can't wait for it!

This Book Club Kit is a great addition to book. Thank you for the opportunity to review it!

Such a Fun Age is a perfect choice for book club! I liked how this kit prompts readers to think about the main characters' relationship and background. It has discussion questions, an interview with the author, and drink recommendations. A great guide for a casual book club.

Part of my January 2020 5-star review for this novel said, "I thought Such a Fun Age would be a twisty dark novel, but it’s really freshly-voiced, page-turning literary fiction. Recommended for book clubs, latest and greatest modern fiction fans, and people who thought THE HELP was problematic."

So here we go, book clubs!

This 5-page Kit includes:
- Two character-themed cocktail recipes (one of Emira, one for Alix)
- Eleven discussion questions, such as, "The last chapter follows Emira in the years after the incident at the Chamberlains'. In what way did things change, if at all? Did anything you learned about Kelley, Alix, or Briar surprise you?"
- A two-page Conversation with (author) Kiley Reid
- A printable to color the cover (I'm not sure the coloring page adds much, but I guess if you're printing out the kit anyway why not?)

In short, this is a very nice (if somewhat standard) book club discussion guide. I'd be happy to have it if I was the host preparing to lead a meeting.

I read Such A Fun Age back in 2020 and wasn’t widely impressed, but I was excited to see a book club discussion kit included as a read-now NetGalley option because I was curious whether the discussion questions posed would alter my opinion of the book. Sadly they didn’t, but I do still think there is value add in this kit!

First off, the cocktails for each character are a nice added touch (although they are pretty basic cocktails and nothing revolutionary). There’s also a cute little coloring page in the back which would be fun in a print version. I really liked the question about parental vs parental-figure relationships. Overall, I think this book club kit is stronger than some others I’ve read, but hasn’t given me much to think about beyond a few thoughtful questions.

Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Random House for the opportunity to review!

This kit includes cocktail recipes that would be fitting for your discussion, an interview with the author and a page you can colour in to look like the cover or your own vision. I never had a bookclub kit and see something like this for the first time and think it would be a fun addition for you and your friends!

I enjoyed reading the novel, so I had high expectations for this supplement, however the book club kit fell flat as it did not provide that much of a debate; overall, it was a bit redundant.

This was not what I expected. Not a lot of question and a talk with the author. Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the arc of this book in return for my honest review. Receiving the book in this manner had no bearing on this review.

I JUST hosted a bookclub for this title and I wish I had this beforehand.

I would highly recommend anyone in a bookclub OR writing a paper on Such A Fun Age read this book club kit - it helps you to see things in different lights and helps your brain think about everything within the book.
