On a six-day trip to Rome, Emilia is coming to terms with herself and her new reality. As the story unfolds , the author draws the reader into the plot as she slowly reveals the details of why Emilia is in Rome alone, why she is staying in this particular apartment, and why she is following the planned itinerary .
This slow unfolding of details and the development of the character builds interest and creates suspension. Emilia's unexpected meeting with an American expat and his story adds depth and authenticity . The ending leaves one wondering what happens next and hoping that it will be revealed in Francesca Giacco's. next book--soon.
