First four chapters:
As usual, Abby Jimenez gets me hooked immediately! My biggest complaint here is that I got only a four chapter preview, and the chapters were too dang short!! In her usual style, Abby has created realistic, witty dialog, and characters you can't help but feel invested in. As early as the third chapter, she threw a little trick in there, with a reference to a "kid!" You think you know what's going on, but this author is great at keeping the reader on his/her (let's face it, mostly her) toes! I can't wait to get my eyes on the remainder of this book! I'm hoping I won't have to wait until April, but if I do...well, time seems to be speeding by these days.
This preview was only 4 chapters of Part of Your World, and it already had me laughing out loud and feeling all those rom-com butterflies. Can’t wait to get my hands on the full novel! Abby Jimenez never misses!
Once again Abby has hooked me right from the start with vivid, funny and relatable characters. A goat in pajamas seals the deal (elevating the cast of characters with four legs is one of Abby’s specialities). A four chapter preview that already has me snort laughing and begging for more! I can’t wait to find out more about Alexis, Daniel and of course Chloe.
I loved the preview and have requested the full book. This book has a great start and I really look forward to reading the entire story.
LOVE Abby! I love the meet cute for this book. Also… baby goat in pajamas! I am digging the fairy tale motifs she includes.
Abby’s characters are always so relatable and the humor seems so natural and brings something to her books that others fall short on. I can’t wait to see how this books ends!
I'll be honest - I haven't read any books by this author before, but I requested this preview due to Emily Henry's quote on the cover. These four chapters went by super quickly and really drew me in! It definitely reminded me of Henry's writing and was charming and funny. I'll definitely be either requesting or buying this one in the future.
I'm convinced. Abby Jimenez is a literary genius. In four chapters, I am hooked. The way this book is written just sucks you in, like a tornado of wit, humor and heart. Her characters have so much depths it's like they actually come to life as you read. I can not wait to see what the rest of this story holds!
This book preview is amazing. Abby’s plot and scene descriptions are so relatable to the Midwest and her relatable characters feel like people you know. I can’t wait to read the rest of this book
I’ve never read this author before but this was such a great sampler I will definitely keep an eye out for this title when it is released. It was well written with interesting characters and cut off at the perfect point. Kept me hanging and hoping for more. A great read.
Cute! Had to request the whole thing bc the preview drew me in.
A good look at relationships and getting out from under your parents expectations to live your own life.
Thanks NetGalley!
Hi there Booklovers 👋🏼 Yes it’s been a long minute since I’ve posted. Hope y’all been up to lots of good mischief 😈
I wanted to share with you this AMAZING book titled #PartOfYourWorld by the fabulous #AbbyJimenez that’s due to release 4.19.22 !
How do I know it’s AMAZING you ask?
Because in my rushed haste of tying to download the first 4 chapters on @netgalley , it wasn’t showing up on my kindle, so I requested it again. And again. Aaaand again.
Repeatedly.
I ended up with 9 copies of the first 4 chapters. 🤦🏻♀️
But ☝🏼 I DEVOURED them.
In the span of 4 chapters I laughed and swooned and sighed a little. The meet-cute was quirky and perfectly filled with witty and funny and flirtatious convo. I can already tell this is going to be another epic, funny, heartwarming and addicting story, just like every single one of Abby’s prior books. (PS: if you haven’t read #LifesTooShort bump it but the TBR pronto!)
I first read Abby’s book, #TheFriendZone in the midst of a massive book slump in the fall 2020, and I was hooked! I quickly jumped into #TheHappilyEverAfterPlaylist and then anxiously awaited and inhaled #LifesTooShort earlier this year (2021). Abby was my top new-to-me author for 2020 and has quickly climbed up to “Blind one-click Author” status for me!
Now I pray 🤞🏽to the ARC gods to grant my wish to put me out of my misery of waiting another 6 months in wondering how the rest of the story will play out!
In the meantime, add PART OF YOUR WORLD to your TBR! You don’t want to miss it!!! ❤️
Thank you NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the preview!
This is one of my most anticipated releases, and I’m already hooked 4 chapters in! I love Abby Jimenez’s sense of humor, which shines through in her characters.
I’ll be over here anxiously awaiting this release, and dreaming of baby goats dressed in pajamas!
I absolutely loved this preview. I can already feel the chemistry between Alexis & Daniel. Plus there is a baby goat! I love that in this first chapter Abby Jimenez already has me laughing.
Abby Jimenez has done it again! I just read the 4 chapter preview for Part of Your World and now I’m begging for chapter 5. I’ve been lured in by the perfect hero meet cute and a tiny goat in pjs. Not to mention beyond tempted by the prospect of a legit gourmet grilled cheese sandwich. This waiting thing is completely torturous. I dare say it’s left me feeling quite like Alexis suspended in mid-change-limbo by the gripping hold of satan’s underpants. My absolute favorite line from chapter 1 is now how I will forever more refer to any and all pieces of shapewear in my wardrobe. I can’t wait to finish this book. I’ve got a fever and the only prescription is more baby goat!
I was approved for the full ARC and posted my full feedback to that listing.
This teaser is literally PERFECT. Especially now that I now what happens in Ch 5 🤯🤯🤯
I audibly GASPED! This very well may be the best one yet!
I was already invested in this storyline months ago from Abby Jimenez’s TikToks and Facebook group. To be able to read ONLY the first four chapters is LITERARY TORTURE. This full book is on my wish list, and I hope I can figure out a way to get to read chapter 5 and beyond before April 2022! The characters and their witty banter is trademark Abby Jimenez, and I am so here for it. I can’t wait to read more of Alexis and Daniel.
I have read Abby Jimenez before, and she's so popular on Bookstagram that this book made it to my TBR fast. I love that Forever almost always uploads previews so we can see if a book might be for us, and this one, for some reason, resonates with me a lot. Fingers crossed to get approved!
I have been eagerly anticipating the chance to read Part of Your World and this preview was equal parts thrill and absolute torture. I was so excited to see the opportunity to read a longer preview on #NetGalley. I almost didn’t want to start reading it because I KNEW the four chapters would just not be enough!
Abby Jimenez does a meet-cute like nobody’s business (that Spanx scene!) and her ability to write with so much humor and still so much emotional investment for her characters makes her books my absolute favorites. Abby’s characters come alive like real people and now I’m left desperately waiting and wondering about what all happens between Daniel and Alexis. Four chapters flew by in a flash. I’m not sure how I’m supposed to put this one down once I get to pick up where that cliffhanger of a preview left off but I cannot wait!
Three days. I had three days of free time to read whatever caught my fancy, but despite my towering TBR, it was like looking in a well stocked fridge and thinking there was nothing to eat. I was hungry for something, and then, I found a yummy grilled cheese that hit the spot in Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez.
City-girl Alexis is driving home from an out of town funeral when she swerves her car to avoid hitting a racoon and ends up in a ditch. Along comes Daniel, a resident of Wakan. After towing her car out, their paths cross again when she walks into the only bar that's open in the small town. They hit it off, and he wakes up the next morning after having the best date of his life only to realize that she's gone.
How will these two people from different worlds get to their happily ever after?
Abby can do no wrong, writing funny and entertaining characters that everyone can relate to. Very few authors can weave a story that you're fully divested in, just within a few chapters! I can't wait to add this to my collection.
