I really wanted to like this, being a plus sized woman myself, but something about the way weight and weight loss was addressed in this preview was just... unsettling. I can relate a lot to Preslee, but she almost felt disingenuous when you heap on all of the loaded language and innuendo from the first four chapters. I hope the rest of the book levels out as we get to know Preslee and Adam more, but I was disappointed.

Usually I am very hesitant towards books classified as Women's Fiction, so I was thankful for the extended preview of this book. It's great to be able to read the first few chapters of a book before requesting the full eARC of said book. Another thing that's worth mentioning is that I never read anything by the author and it was really easy to read through her writing style,

Thank you for the extended preview! This seems like an extremely fun and unique book based off the first couple chapters and I hope to pick it up someday to see what happens to the characters. I love that the main character is plus sized, as there should be more representation of that in media. Overall, I recommend it based off of this sample.

OMG! Are you kidding me? Now I’m so excited to read this one! From someone who has never heard of this author before, I’m impressed. Can’t wait to know what happens to Preslee and Adam!
