Wow, this book club kit was so incredibly useful! I read this book a few months ago, and I wish I had this kit back then. It felt like I was reading a magazine spread specifically about this book. The questions are helpful, but I especially loved the author interview, the cover designer interview, and the book recs! I run a book club, and I might use these in the future for any relevant books.

This was great to have for my book club, did not think about it not being the book. So was surprised when I realized it was just a kit for book club members to use. Did come in hand though, so we were able to use it accordingly. Thanks NetGalley for approving it!

What an amazing book club kit to help create discussion in regards to "By the book" by Jasmine Guillory. From the discussion questions, bookmark print outs, and writing exercises to the charcuterie board ideas, drink recipes and other books that are recommended were wonderfully done. The pen name generator was a little cheesy and maybe unnecessary but other than that it was a wonderful handout for a book club and I would look forward to other book club kits! I wish these were available for all books that I read.

This book was okay. It's definitely not one of my favorites. I feel like the romance between the two MC's didn't really have much chemistry and found myself questioning why they were together most of the time.

I really liked this kit! It has so many interactive things that would really help any book club connect with the story. The questions were engaging and I loved how there was a section for writer advice! I also really liked the charcuterie board, like we’re in the book!

Book kits always add charm to a book club. In this case, I loved Guillory's writing tips and prompts! The charcuterie and margarita recipes are also a great addition.

Mixed feelings about this kit! I think the book is probably going to be fantastic and I’m just utterly in love with the idea of a Beauty and the Beast retelling that incorporates a writer and his assistant! That said, the bookmarks that were included weren’t as good as I’d hoped they would be and the questions felt far too repetitive from what I’ve heard as a writer through the years.

I did love the writer’s block tips section, though, and the interview was really cool! I also really like how these kits keep including further book recommendations at the end.

I love this book club kit! It's both aestetically pleasing and comprehensive. Gorgeous layout, which includes: an author interview, recommendations for upcoming reads, games, a playlist, recipes and discussion questions. I wish there was a kit like this for all books. I'd be more apt to pick up certain books for my book club. The work is done and looks like the making of a good time.
