A learned a lot — have to recommend books like these over podcasts like them. there's just so much more of a complete narrative. I loved the author's research and the thought that went into this.

The Third Reconstruction focuses on racial justice in the US the 21st century starting in 2008 to present day, what's called the Third Reconstruction. Joseph writes beautifully and powerfully synthesizing history and present day. The book is relatively short but packs a punch in terms of its content and is incredibly eye-opening. Recommended for anyone seeking to be more informed and understand the larger context of our world today.
