Longtime series fans would probably consider this one as a big ‘most anticipated’ book because the not so surprise reveal about the S.W.A.T. team feline mascot finally getting the limelight with her favorite werewolf, Connor Malone. Paige Tyler has set up this book from much earlier in the series when it comes to this pair and I was ready for it.

The Wolf Is Mine is thirteenth in the series that is part of an ever broadening world of standalone paranormal romances in the Special Wolf Alpha Team series and the spinoff STAT series. I say standalone, but really the worldbuilding and character connections flow from beginning and through the series.

There is an investigation the Dallas police SWAT team werewolves are working on when kids start to go missing, but only they know they are investigating a paranormal crime with some sort of sinister purpose. Kat Davenport is on the case with Connor and the others, and she recognizes witch magic involved. Her past with Marko, the warlock, who destroyed her coven and nearly had her may not be as in the past as Kat thought.

All along, Paige Tyler wrote the cat into scenes and meant readers to catch on there was more to the cat and even instances when the cat was uncanny with mysterious help so it was fun to see her up on two legs and sharing her story with the werewolves that she considered friends and found family though they were just meeting the real Kat.

Meanwhile, Connor is a cranky werewolf about the fact that his cat is an attractive human. He needs time to adjust. I do think Kat’s assumption that Connor would throw up his hands in happiness and express his love the second he saw her human form was definite daydream territory. I actually think I’d have reacted like Connor because, though it wasn’t her fault she couldn’t communicate, it was on her that she lived in his intimate space and stayed close to him at work, workout room, etc. It was voyeuristic and that takes some adjustment that even the fated mate The One attraction didn’t quite mitigate. But, they share a case and a building attraction in human form so it wasn’t long that things were on track and Connor was worried how they would break the curse spell so Kat wouldn’t lose her human form again.

The ending was a huge adrenaline rush and, once again, has shown the series has advanced beyond the werewolves to, in this case, the witches and a few other darker nasties out there. Spicy hot romance, suspenseful and tough action with a paranormal world and characters make this a must-read paranormal romance series.

Connor Male is on the SWAt and is a wolf shape shifter.

Connor and his teammates were looking some of their own. Whappened too them?
Can they help them?

Kat ( being a witch helps them find their pack mates and helps finds the missing teens.

It is a good against evil. You will need to read the story to find out what happens.

This is a great story it has suspense, action, a page turner, romance and lots of paranormal happenings.

Great Job Paige Tyler !!!!

The heroine had been cursed into a feline form by a villain who she's running away from. She ends up with the hero and his wolf pack, living with the hero for months. The story begins as the hero and his team were investigating missing members of their pack and got into trouble of their own. The heroine has returned back to her human form, a reprieve of her curse, and went searching for him. Even as the two hit it off, how will the couple retain their romantic relationship when the curse and the villains of the book are forces obstructing their happy ending.

The latest addition to the SWAT series by Paige Tyler is a wonderful hit in my eyes. I enjoyed the fast-paced story, and even the instant start to the couple's relationship isn't really a dealbreaker when one adds how the heroine has been living with the hero in her feline form. I also enjoyed reading how the secondary characters, the wolf pack that the hero has made, were supportive of the couple and wanted both of them to be happy. I would have liked some more details in certain areas of the story as well as maybe a second epilogue or so. Overall, an enjoyable Paige Tyler book and I look forward to reading more of the series in the future.

It's werewolves against magic in a race against the clock that pits the SWAT pack against a powerful warlock and his coven. In the middle of everything is werewolf Connor Malone and the enigmatic witch, Kat Davenport.
I don't want to give away the surprises, but I will say that there are a couple of big twists that I wasn't expecting but that made the plot feel particularly exciting. I especially liked how out of their element the werewolves are when facing off against magic. I'm more used to all supernatural beings being portrayed as being old hats when it comes to magic and this physical power versus magical power faceoff was a brilliant twist.
The only complaint is that there's a plot line that feels very important but doesn't really get resolved. I get the feeling that it's laying the foundation for a future book, but I still left this book feeling like it was left dangling.
I discovered this series with this book and I'm definitely going to be reading previous volumes, but I'm happy to say that it's a pretty easy one to jump into. All the pertinent information needed to enjoy it properly is given without weighing it down with too much world-building backstory for those that are caught up. I never felt lost in the world and lore, which is something that not a lot of authors manage, so kudos to Tyler for that.

Happy thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the early peek at this exciting read!

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

Wow, Kat the cat is now Kat the woman! What a great idea, as we have seen Kat along the way and now we get her story and Connor.

I don't want to give to much away but Kat needs help and this help is way too much for the wolves. Kat actually has to help save them along the way and hopefully find a way to save herself.

Add in to that mix, Connor's sister, Jenna, who seems taken with one of the wolves and why is Hale still limping when a wolf recovers so quickly?? So many things still in the air so I can't wait for the next book! I hope that we will find out more about Hannah's disappearance, also.

Loved that the book was filled with action as they tried to help the kidnapped teens and find a way to break Kat's curse and Connor to get over his feelings of hurt when he finds out that his cat is now a woman.

The Wolf Is Mine
SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team Series - Book 13
By Paige Tyler

Sourcebooks Casablanca - January 2023

Paranormal Romance

Dallas SWAT werewolf Connor Malone and a few other packmates had gone to San Antonio to find fellow werewolf Zane and his mate Alyssa. His mind should only have been on that mission, but he was also worried about his cat, Kat. She had gone missing, and he had no idea what may have happened with her. He didn't know if it was normal for someone to be so worried about a pet, but Kat was so much more.

He just didn't realize how much more.

Kat Davenport only had a few days, and she wanted to be with Connor. Not that she wasn't almost always with him, but now she was in her human form again. Not in her cat form that she had been transformed into. She only had a few days until she turned back, but there was a bigger threat than her unfortunate situation. Kids were being kidnapped, and it appeared that magic was being used. Brute strength may be the werewolves forte, but this was her field of expertise, and she had no intention of allowing anything to happen to the kids.

The Wolf Is Mine says it all. From the moment Kat entered Connor's life, both in her cat form, and when she returned to human, she claimed Connor as hers. I had been intrigued by the cat that had turned up in the werewolf compound, and enjoyed reading their story. As could be expected, the action kept the pages turning, and the extensive cast of characters were always willing to help. I look forward to the next story in this series.

I could not put this book down one I started reading. It is a standalone within the series but why stop with one. This is Kat and Conner's story. Witch meets or discloses to werewolf. The slow building romance along with tons of action will keep you engaged.

In this high-stakes paranormal/romantic-suspense novel, Werewolf Connor Malone is in for a surprise when his cat, Kat, that went missing turns out to be more than what she seems.

Kat Davenport has been cursed. Now back in her witch form, she is eager to reconnect with Connor before turning back into a furry feline in just a short period of time. But Connor is not expecting Kat, the cat, to be Kat, the woman. It is a bit of a surprise, to say the least.

Meanwhile, Connor and his SWAT team are working on a murder case and get pulled into a kidnapping case as well. And Kat wants to help. As it turns out, the cases may have a connection to someone in Kat’s past.

What will happen to these fated mates, and will the SWAT team be able to save the kidnapping victims in time?

This one had me hooked. It’s a fun escape. There’s action, suspense, magic, shifters, humor, and heat. It was my first read from this series—this is book 13—and I definitely want to go back and read more.

I received an advance copy from Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley. All review opinions are my own.

The Wolf is Mine is the thirteenth book in Paige Tyler’s SWAT (Special Wolf Alpha Team) series. This book is a paranormal, romantic suspense novel filled with danger, magic, fantastic characters, and great chemistry. All the books in this series contain a happily ever after and can be read as a standalone, however, reading it in order will give you a better appreciation for the characters and the series itself.

Werewolf Connor Malone and his SWAT team are up against a powerful being even they might not be able to defeat when they are asked to investigate several cases of missing teenagers in Dallas. Powerful witch Katya Davenport, otherwise known as Kat, Conner’s tiny feline friend, offers to help when she realizes these cases are linked to the wizard that cursed her and stole most of her powers. But what happens when everyone realizes that Kat and her life in the hands of the wizard could actually lead to death and destruction? Will Connor and Kat get their happily ever after? Read it and find out!

Amazing! The chemistry between Connor and Kat was evident from the moment they saw each other face to face. They were fantastic together and supportive of what each other needed. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Kat & Conner

Surprises galore. His missing furry friend isn't what he thinks. She's been with him since she followed (Snuck in their car) him home almost a year ago. Now he's on another mission and she can't be found. Turns out she can be found just not as the cat he's attached to. Yep, she's a real Kat. One who needs their help almost as much as they need hers to rescue two teammates.

They have to believe in magic at least a little as wolf-shifters. But a cursed witch? There is so much going on but I've only given away what the author released in the blurb. No more. I can tell you there is steamy chemistry, serious bad-guy magics, and danger that might be more than the team can handle. Still, we know they are gonna do their best.

It seems with each book the author gives us more surprises and more characters to love. An amazing book from an author who never fails to give the best.

I’ll start by saying I’ve never read a book from this series or any of the author’s other works before, but after reading The Wolf Is Mine, you can be sure I’ll be checking out more of the SWAT and STAT team!

This was a fun, magical, action-packed, paranormal romance with plenty of steamy scenes and interesting characters. If you’re a follower of the series, you’ll probably be familiar with Connor and Kat. As I said above, this is the first book I’ve read, so everything was new to me, but it was easy to catch up and figure out how the world and magic system was set up. I imagine the romance in this book is better if you’ve read previous books, but it’s still a fun, easy, spicy read even without prior knowledge of the characters!

I loved Kat and how fierce she was! She’s been through so much but never let it get her down. Connor is a perfect match for Kat, and I liked getting to know his backstory! I do wish there had been more interactions between him and his sister, but from how it was set up, I think the author plans to give Connor’s sister a book of her own. I can only hope that means we’ll see more of the two siblings together when/if that happens.

I read this book in a day, and I can’t wait to read more about the SWAT/STAT team and the couples I was introduced to here. The Wolf Is Mine is a fun, fast-paced, steamy read perfect for any paranormal romance reader!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the complimentary copy of this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This is an intense read with great characters. Kat's unique situation is a page turner. Her being in the locker room made me laugh. Any female with that chance would take it. Loved the ending.

The Wolf is Mine (SWAT Book 13) by Paige Tyler
I have read all the SWAT books and I have been waiting for Kat and Connor's story. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I hated to put it down to eat and sleep. There is danger, death, angst, deception, wonderful friends and teammates, evil, tears, laughter, steam and love all getting us to a very HEA. I can't wait to see what is next.
Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Page-turner Tragic Romantic Great world building Entertaining Unpredictable Scary Informative Happily Ever After Easy-to-read Haunting Tear-jerker Steamy Wonderful characters Witty Action-packed.

Although Paige Tyler’s stories can easily be read as a standalone, I love the fact that characters from previous books keep popping up. This time it is Kat who makes a reappearance. You know: the cat who walked around with Tuffy, the SWAT mascott. Only, she is walking on two legs now… Kat is a witch, who is forced to live under a spell, which makes her a cat for most of the time. Only a few days per year, she becomes human.

And this time she wants to introduce herself (again) to Connor. In whose house she has been living for the last nine months. But Connor is not there.. he is out somewhere to investigate a strange disappearance of two of their teammates. When Kat realizes the one who put a spell on her is possibly behind the disappeances, she goes to Connor to help him. But will he trust in his cat?

As always: full of suspense, twists and turns. And of course sparks are flying everywhere! Thank you Page for another hunky SWAT story!

Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

I like how the author has expanded the world of this series by adding in new elements and still keeping things in sync and making sense. After a dozen books, it enables to the series to stay fresh but no get lost from its core either. for several months, the swat's cat mascot, Kat, has been sabotaging the dates of Connor, her primary human on the team. She's confounded and confused the team members with some of her talents and personality quirks. Now the team gets to know why, as Kat is temporarily freed from the binding that has put her in feline form and they meet the human Kat - a powerful witch. Connor's worry and fuss over Kat the cat also changes as fated mates are fully face to face and fighting to stay together that way. but can canine & feline truly make a go of it, and will the enemy pursuing Kat and a case involving ritualistic murders and kidnaped teens allow it. There is plenty of action and romance as these two fight for their HEA.

The Wolf is Mine by Paige Tyler
SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team series #13. Paranormal wolf shifter romance. Best read as part of the series.
Two team members are missing so Connor and other Dallas SWAT members travel to their last known location. They find their team members but then the exit seems to have disappeared.
Kat works a bit of magic to help open a door but that puts a beacon on her abilities. Kat is the target of a power-hungry mage along with a group of teens he’s kidnapped. It’s up to the SWAT team and Kat to save Dallas.

Magic is now part of this SWAT world. And I alway knew Kat the cat was more than just a cat! The spell that made her a cat, gives her a break for a few days, turning her human again and she hopes to stay with Connor as she always has. If she can sleep curled up on his chest, all the better for sleeping. Or maybe other things now that’s she is back to human?

Quick read with the SWAT team trying to fight magic. Entertaining with medium heat and a bit of humor because of the situation. Fated romance with suspense and many of the couples from previous books in the series making appearances. I love this series. Escape into the paranormal.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley. I purchased a copy to share.

Connor and Kat's story was a great addition to this series . Full of interesting twist and turns and action a well thought out cohesive plot with likeable characters. Can be read on its own but will be more enjoyable if you have read previous books in the series. I received a ARC of this book and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Love this series! Paige Tylers take on the "werewolf" and all the other things that go bump in the night is unique and entertaining. Like many I was waiting for Conners story, however unlike many I will not share spoilers, especially since so much was better unfolding so you could enjoy the oohs, ahhs and arrgghh. Suspense, steam, action, paranormal and some laughter with an unyielding sense of family. Each book in this series is a win. I am constantly amazed at all the twist and tweaks that put new spins on paranormal and never ceases to deliver! If you want to be entertained, taken out of your world grab this book. If you have not read previous it can be read as a standalone but I recommend grabbing all 12 before it and grab a chair or your favorite reading place and indulge. Thank you for the arc! I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions. #Thewolfismine #paigetyler #sourcebookcasablanca #netgalley
