This is the third book in the Gravekeeper series, Keira is slowly learning who is chasing her as well as trying to help the ghosts in the graveyard where she works move on.
Keira is a great character but for me the star of the book is Zoe, I love her quirkiness and how knowledgeable she is on conspiracy theories.
The friendship between Kiera, Zoe and Mason is genuine, loving and full of fun and adventure.
I love this story as Darcy Coates is very good at writing spooky stories that put you on edge and leave you feeling slightly uncomfortable.

This has been such a superb series! The Twisted Dead is definitely my favorite so far. These books are genuinely spooky and hilarious at the same time. Darcy Coates does an amazing job at making it all seem believable. I loved learning more about Keira's backstory and getting a closer look at the people chasing her.
The side characters are pure gold! Zoe is an absolute delight, and I have a soft spot for Harry. It was wonderful getting to know Dane Crispin in this book and learning why Mason left medical school. The banter between all of them is really great!
I truly enjoyed every ghost filled minute of this book and can't wait for the next one.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Obviously I went into this blind- it was a really twisty, fun story. I just love Darcy Coates as an author and did not pay attention to the fact it was part of a series before requesting. Stunning!
Thank you #Netgalley and publishers for the opportunity to read a free e-arc of this one in exchange for my honest review!

Keira have an extraordinary power of seeing ghosts and as a groundskeeper she fulfils their wishes to find peace. On visiting Dane Crispin's Mansion he asks her help to get rid of all the restless ghost who never left the mansion and is retaining his energy.Keira strive to expand her power to help dane and do boundless things that she is destined to do.
The book is fast paced and all the characters are loveable especially the relationship between Kiera, Zoe and Mason.
The plot is average but after the first half I lost the connection to the plot.I think the story diverted to many angles that it felt too much and lot of things were happening at the same time.

Whenever I read a @darcybooks book I usually look forward to the scary stuffs which was not present in this one.So I would say I was little disappointed, I think I am not the audience for this one and I would recommend this as YA or middle grade fiction.

Fast and easy read! This is the first book I've read from Darcy Coates and also the first in this series, and it was easy to read on its own. Absolutely loved the main character. It was so fun to follow her around on her journey.

I have been a previous fan of Coates' work, but I just couldn't get into The Twisted Dead.
The novel feels like it begins midway into the story, meaning the reader is always on the back foot and constantly trying to get up to speed.
There are interesting references to films such as Ghostbusters and while The Twisted Dead does create some suspenseful chapters, it's the characters which make this a tricky read.

I absolutely love this series, and it just keeps getting better and better with each new addition. I adore Keira, Mason, and Zoe (especially Zoe), and I love getting to know them more and more with each book. Their trio is definitely friendship goals, and I wish I could be a part of it. Daisy is the best cat in the world, and I wish she was mine. Interactions with her always make laugh and bring a smile to my face.

What I especially loved about this book was getting to know more about Dane Crispin and finally learning the mysterious truth of why Mason left medical school. Keira's control and knowledge of her powers continue to grow, and she grows stronger as a result.

This series makes me laugh and cry and feel all the feels, and I absolutely cannot wait for the next installment!

THE TWISTED DEAD is the third installment in Darcy Coates's GRAVEKEEPER series.

So far in the series, we've been introduced to Keira, a woman on the run who finds refuge in the small town of Blighty when a kind old pastor named Adage takes pity on her. Keira has no memory of her past life, but with the help of Adage and a couple of new friends - Zoe, a quirky conspiracy theorist, and Mason, a kind but haunted almost-doctor - she manages to start something of a new life.

She also discovers she can see and communicate with ghosts. It's convenient, then, that she now lives in the groundskeeper's cottage at the local graveyard.

The first two books chronicle the adventures of Keira and friends as she learns to use her supernatural skills to face down various evils. This newest addition to the series finds Keira, Zoe, and Mason attempting to help the town recluse, Dane Crispin, rid his house of the dozens of energy-sucking spirits that have plagued him his whole life. About a third of the way through the book, we veer off onto a separate plotline in which we finally - finally! - find out why Mason abruptly left medical school and get some answers about Keira's past.

All the characters are uniquely likable, from the quiet chivalry of poor Mason (who is in way over his head) to the absolute off-the-wall weirdness of Zoe, to the lovably doddering old man cluelessness of Adage. And don't forget Daisy, the possibly magical cat.

These books are fun. They're adventure tales with a supernatural bent, full of ghosts for sure, but also shadowy organizations and murderers and plenty of run-for-your-life moments. All of Keira's questions haven't been answered yet, so there must be at least one more book to come. I look forward to reading it.

Oh man, oh man, oh man! I’ll go ahead and say it— I think this is my fave book in the series so far!? 😀 The GraveKeeper series just gets better and better with each book. I love how consistent the series is at keeping the momentum rolling and growing each installment. 😮

The plot blurb is a little vague, so I was honestly not sure what to expect going in. The Twisted Dead keeps you guessing the whole time! I had no idea where this was going through out the whole story. So many unexpected events happened that are not mentioned in the book blurb, it was just surprise after surprise! 😮

The plot sounded like it was just going to be about one of the side characters, Dane. But the plot actually not only involved learning a lot about the main characters, but also making progress on several of the side plots lurking in the back ground. I was ecstatic at the side plot progress in book #3!! 😀 Answers, Yay!! So excited.

I had a fantastic time reading The Twisted Dead. ❤ 🙂 So many spooky things happened, so many wholesome moments happened. So many over all story arch reveals, this book was like a creepy roller coaster ride! Loved ever minute of this story. I am dying for the next book now!! Can’t wait to see what happens next.

First things first…..A HUGE THANK YOU to Netgalley, Darcy Coates and Poisoned Pen
Press for the opportunity to read The Twisted Dead: Gravekeeper, Book 3.
.
Darcy does it again in the third book of her Gravekeeper series. The first 2 books were what drew
me in and I can’t wait for the next installment.
.
I’m in love with this series. I flew through the first two books in this series and eagerly awaited the
3rd. Through the stories you understand that Keira has the gift of seeing spirits. She fled her old life
and ended up with Amnesia. After this, she has been able to provide help to spirits with “people
problems,” and people with “spirit problems.” Lets tack in the friends to make an amazing character
an amazing trio. Zoe and Mason have the strong relationship with Keira, plus the slow burn of
romance between Keira and Mason.
.
Darcy tends to write intriguing stories that can leave me creeped out but also feeling good. The
Gravekeepers series has amazing characters, but also gives me the paranormal and eeriness I’ve
come to love from these books. We do get some answers from the previous books, but also left with
a handful more questions. I’m excited for the next book!!
.
If you enjoy horror (but not really scary), paranormal, intense suspense, mystery, and close friends,
then you must read this series!!
.
Again, Huge thanks to Netgalley for the ARC Copy for review. All opinions are mine alone.

Great spooky read perfect for a fall night by a bonfire! It had me hooked right at the start all the way to the end! I wasn’t exactly scary but was defiantly creepy! It is the 3rd in the series but would work great as a stand alone book!

HOLY GHOSTS. Coates has done it again. I'm telling you this series just keeps getting better and better. The spooky gets spookier, the mysteries get more dangerous, the friendships grow stronger and the cemeteries get even more eerier than before. With The Twisted Dead you get drawn right back into Keiras story immedietly with previous plot lines still existing while new ones arise. While Blighty's pesky ghosts are still haunting, Keira is still determined as ever. Zoe is still quirky and made me laugh out loud more times than I can count, and Masons is still the broody and cautious protector we have grown to love. This tight knit trio isn't one to mess with and has conquered The Whispering, Ravenous and now The Twisted and I absolutely cannot wait to see what ghostly adventure they embark upon next.

Thank you to Netgalley and Poisoned Pen Press for this advanced eGalley in exchange for my honost opinions.

"The cemetery was only recent, but it already held hundreds of graves. Hundreds upon hundreds of graves. Hundreds upon hundreds of shades. All twisting to face her, as though they could sense her presence. Hundreds of gaping mouths screaming wordlessly. And among them, visitors strolled. Some pushed strollers. Some had come alone. Some carried flowers or other small gifts. They smiled softly and talked in hushed tones as they visited theit lost loved ones, blind to the voiceless horrors surrounding them."

Keira wakes up with nothing but the clothes on her back, no money and no memory of who she is, but what she does know is that she is being hunted by these mysterious men, who does'nt seem to hesitate killing her. She walks into the small town of Blighty, where she finds the towns pastor who takes her in, and gives her shelter in his cottage, and a job as caretaker of the local graveyard, because Keria can see and talk to ghosts.

The third book in the series takes off right where book two left off, with Keira trying to salvage her cottage after a fire. Keira, Mason and Zoe deal with the ghostly infestation of Dane Crispin, and also unravels the mystery of Keiras past with Artec. Its an atmospheric, cosy paranormal mystery, but if I hadn't known this was written by Darcy Coates I would never have guessed it. Unfortunately the characters feel either like charicatures, (Zoe and Harry), or dull and completely lacking their own personalities (Keira and Mason), but I am a character-based reader so this might just be me.

If you like cosy paranomal mysteries, with a slow burn romance, strong friendships, quirky charcaters and eerie ghosts in misty graveyards, then you'll love this series.

Thank you to the author, the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with this eARC in exchange for this honest review.

The Twisted Dead is Darcy Coates's third book in the Gravekeeper series. As a surprise to no one who follows my account, I loved it! This is my favorite series of hers! For me, the best part is the friendship between the three main characters, Keira, Zoe, and Mason. They have some funny moments and their rapport is always snappy.

In this installment, Keira and the company are helping the town recluse with a ghost problem while also further unraveling the mystery of Keira’s past.

If you aren't familiar with the series, the gist is that Keira has amnesia. In the first book, she is on the run from some men in the woods with no memory of how she got there or why they are trying to kill her. She takes refuge with Aldage, the pastor, in the small town of Blighty and becomes the groundskeeper for the graveyard. Oh, and she can see ghosts.

This was a fun, fast-paced read on the cozy side of horror. I highly recommend giving it a read. Even if you haven’t read the first two, there are enough callbacks that you wouldn’t be totally lost. It will just make you want to go back and see what you missed.

I enjoyed this, but I disagree with the reviews that say this could be a standalone. I was confused through a lot of this book having not read the first few in the series. I think I will have a better grasp of it after going back and reading the beginning of the series. But, I want to read the beginning which tells me that this book was good!

Thank you to the publisher for an advance copy. Thoughts are my own.

Keira is back!!
Oohh this one wad good!! I love all Darcy Coates books, she simply never disappoints. It was full of ghosts, intrigue, action, friendship and the way Coates writes is just so good. Once I started I needed to keep reading.
Thr book it's the third of the Gravekeeper series but it's okay if you want to read it as a standalone. Even if I do recommend the whole series because it's really good.

Although I missed the first book (this is the third) in this series, that hasn’t prevented me from keeping up with what went on. The author does a good job of including details that bring the reader up to speed.

I recently read that Coates’s books can be categorized as cozy horror/paranormal. To me, cozies were those mysteries with adorable covers (especially when cats are included) and clever titles. When I read the reasoning behind it being classified that way, it made sense. There’s a mystery, a paranormal element, humor (seriously, Zoe should moonlight as a comedian), and no gore. I think even non-horror fans could appreciate this series.

A lot of things are happening in this novel. There’s progress in the ongoing story arc of who Keira actually is. She learns more about Artec and why she might have been on the run from them. Mason’s reason for leaving medical school in his last year is revealed. And Dane Crispin may not be the baddie he seemed – he may just be misunderstood. Considering he tried to kill Keira the last time they met, she takes a leap of faith in accepting his dinner invitation and helping him.

The slow burn romance, I’m talking glacier pace here, between Mason and Keira continues. Apparently they need to be hit over the head (maybe by Zoe, who has no filter) to realize how the other feels, because it seems obvious to everyone else. Harry, a very…eccentric character, also gets more page time, and I adore his dry humor.

This isn’t the last book, so I’ll be keeping an eye out for the next one. If you’re a fan of eerie, atmospheric books with a mystery, you can’t go wrong with this series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
