An excellent sequel where the characters remain dark and twisted! The author did a great job reminding us waht happened it the first, so there was no need to reread it! There were definitely twists that caught me by surprise, and the writing was engaging and with short chapters and alternative perspectives, it was easy to binge!

I really enjoyed this follow up to the kind worth killing. It was full of surprises and twists and made for a very consistent book by Swanson

The Kind Worth Saving makes my eighth Peter Swanson novel. He is an automatic read for me. I think he is a superb mystery author and I am always exhilarated by his plot and delivery. I loved the alternating narrators and really getting an inside look at the different characters. I am very intrigued by Lilly and definitely need more about her! I highly suggest anything by Peter Swanson and this page turning follow up to The Kind Worth Killing is no exception!

I read the first book in this series a while ago so I didn't really remember much about it. But this was great! I hope there is more to come!

The kind worth killing had me hooked from the first page, so when I saw there was a sequel I was ecstatic! This book was great! And I was so happy to have Lily back in my life haha! Peter Swanson is a true poet!

This was a fantastic follow up to the author's previous novel and I thoroughly enjoyed both the writing and the return to familiar characters! Highly recommend all of Peter Swanson's work and am looking forward to his next publication!

This is an absolute page turner and quite chilling with its array of murderous characters. Peter Swanson is at his best with this one, and it's cleverly twisty. Expect the unexpected with a solid plot.

The kind worth saving .

I had to listen to the first one before I began this..and am glad that I did.
It gave me some perspective to the characters.
This was a solid read but the twists as compared to the first were far less and I could easily figure them out .
Definitely worth checking out.
Thank you Netgalley and publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

The Kind Worth Saving by Peter Swanson is the long-anticipated sequel to The Kind Worth Killing. The Kind Worth Killing was given much praise back in 2015 when it was released. Kind #1 was good, but just a 3 star read for me. I decided to try this sequel and I feel pretty much the same. This is just a 3 star read for me. It didn't have a lot of twists, I didn't love Henry the detective from the first book, and I didn't connect with any of the characters - One is a serial killer, one is a diabolical mastermind/manipulator. And a major plot point in this story is a school shooting, which is a scary subject for many. I did not notice anything about that in the description of the book.

Thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts.

The Kind Worth Killing is one of my favorite thrillers ever, and a book I always recommend to people looking for a twisty read. I was so happy that the sequel wasn’t a dud. 🤣 Nothing can beat the original, but it was still such a solid read.

The story centers around Kimball, who’s now a private detective, and the new case he’s working that has ties to his past. I liked the cat and mouse nature of the story and I loved the glimpses we get of Lily!

Definitely recommend and gave it a solid four stars! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the e-arc!

A fun follow up to "The Kind Worth Killing," this second novel features Henry as a private detective hired to prove his client's husband is cheating on her. As he endeavors to do so, he stumbles on more than proof, in the form of the husband and mistress' bodies in an apparent murder/suicide.
Filled with twists, turns, devious characters, and plots within plots this was an excellent story!

An interesting follow-up to The Kind Worth Killing which I had listened to quite awhile ago. While my memory of characters may be hazy, the ending of this one really made some of the memories flood back from it's predecessor.
Really enjoyed this mystery and the unreliability of it all. A worthy listen if you're doing the audiobook, too.

The Kind Worth Killing is one of my top 10 favorite books. I was so excited to hear there was a sequel but I was also worried it wouldn't live up to the first book. I am so glad I read this because the sequel was incredible

This is the second in a series. The characters are gritty and relatable and the tension throughout is palpable. I’ve read most of Swanson’s books and this didn’t wow me like some of his others but it was definitely well-developed and entertaining.

I absolutely loved this book. Peter Swanson may be my favorite thriller author and this book did not disappoint. I loved the different POV, I loved the slow build of the story, I love that the reader knows more than the narrator as the story goes on. I also really liked that this book used characters from a previous story but wasn't a traditional sequel. Everything in the story just clicks into place near the end and it's just fantastic. I highly, highly recommend it.

this was not peter's best work. I got a little bored in the middle and the ending was not as satisfying as I would hope.

The Kind Worth Saving is the sequel to The Kind Worth Killing and the first Peter Swanson book I haven't adored. Admittedly, I have a terrible memory for books and remember VERY few of the details of The Kind Worth Killing. I think if I had gone back and read the first one, I would have experienced this book differently. This book mostly works as a standalone, but most of the character-building for Lily and Henry was done in the first book. Great pacing and an interesting story, but it fell a little flat for me.

I loved book one so I was beyond excited to see a book 2 was coming. I do wish I had reread the book or at least read a recap of book one before starting this one because I definitely forgot a lot from book one and felt myself a little lost at points. I know some people are saying its ok to read this as a stand alone, but I completely disagree. Not only do I think book 1 was better, I also think reading book would one would help you understand and enjoy this one more.

The multiple perspectives added to the story, I enjoyed the Kimball and Lily's story continued.

A fun, fast-paced, suspenseful, dark, read with a few twists. This author continues to write amazing books!

Thank you to William Morrow for my copy!

This was a great follow-up to The Kind Worth Killing. I didn't think we'd ever get to see Lily again, and it was satisfying to see that while she's still the same person underneath it all, she's changed her ways in order to exist in the world as a free woman.

The relationship between Henry and Lily was interesting, and the mystery at the heart of the book was revealed to us early on, and then we got to watch the characters figure it out themselves, which I find a much more rewarding experience. I love Peter Swanson novels, and I will always recommend them!
