From story and plot, through character development, this is one of Danielle Steel's best novels. Iris moves through a rotten childhood, to well deserved success, keeping true to herself. She finds and makes her own family units along the way. Her evolution is poignant and captivating.
>>This is a must read for all Danielle Steel fans and for every other reader.

I love all of Danielle Steel's book and this one was no exception, I have to admit that for the first half it did remind of of another book but i just couldn't remember which one it was, but then it totally changed and I could not stop reading, her books always suck me right in!!

Iris had a voice like no other but she had no mother and an absolutely horrible father who only used her voice to make money from her singing, He was just a cold mean person. She never had a home life, moved constantly and most nights never had food to eat, all she wants to do is sing and write songs..

She moves to New York City where her life is forever changed! This book is about following your heart and your dreams, friendship and relationships and doing what is right, and about true love.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC in return for my honest review. .

The High Notes by Danielle Steel Ms Steel hit all the right notes with this story. An engaging group of characters including Iris, Boy and Clay who suffer hardships but are still positive in their relationships and careers and friendships. A feel good story with characters that you can relate to.

Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Iris loves to sing and her father finds bars where she starts singing state age of twelve. Her father uses the funds for beer. When she is a little older her father as her manager signs a five year agreement where he gets the money she makes. When that is over she signs another agreement with a different manager and she leaves after four years. A band mate gave her a name of someone to call if she goes to New York. When she arrives in New York she and her friend gets a signed contract. Iris remains the same individual even with all the riches she has attained and also finding love on the way.

This book was sent to me by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher for this electronic copy. Danielle Steel is one of the most famous writers in America...she writes romance, fiction, historical fiction...this is a light, quick read of what it would be like...what it could be like...what it might be like...it reads like nonfiction but with elements of fiction...romance...careers...hardships...family dynamics...friendship...this book can be read by anyone...no explicit scenes...no language...just a sweet story of "making it big" in America...hard work, diligence...friends who help...I liked this book. I really liked this book. Cuddle up in a comfy chair, grab a warm afghan...some steaming herbal tea, some scones...enjoy an afternoon with this group of characters...
