Another winner from Doller. Carla was such a strong independent character and her interactions with Eamon were enjoyable. The way dementia was written into the storyline was perfectly covered. This was a fun read and I hope there will be more in this series.

I didn’t realize this was part of a series, but it held its own as a standalone. A lighthearted, spicy rom com that reminded me a bit of Leap Year. I loved the family dynamics included on both sides of the pond. I will definitely be going back and reading Float Plan.

Off The Map by Trish Doller surprised me and exceeded all of my expectations. This travel romance in the Beck Sisters series was absolutely adorable. In this book, Carla, a wild and experienced traveler who can’t be tied down, goes to Ireland for her best friend’s wedding where she forms a connection with the reserved and cautious best man, Eamon. While this opposites attract romance was a bit insta-lovey with the timeline of the book only being 4 days, I truly did not care. There was enough character and relationship development that I totally bought into their love. Even though I had a little trouble relating to Carla, as I am definitely more like Eamon, I loved them together and how they brought out new things in each other. It also helped that Eamon was entirely swoon-worthy. They had fantastic chemistry and the spice was great. I’d rate it a 3 out of 5 on the spicy scale. In addition to their romance, this book packed an emotional punch and dealt beautifully with grief, complicated family dynamics, and self-discovery. I will 100% be going back to read the other companion novels in this series because I loved this.

I feel like I didn’t really get to know Eamon too much, so I didn’t totally see the chemistry. Also, why was he sh**ing on his ex every single chapter?! She sounded annoying and maybe a little bland- but geez. Chill and move on.

But I loved the focus on traveling and living for yourself, and thought the parts on grief were done quite well.

Maybe the main characters were just too immature for me to deal with. Overall, I was underwhelmed- which sucks cause I totally loved The Suite Spot!

I absolutely LOVE Trish Doller’s books – so much so that I had pre-ordered Off The Map and I am not someone who normally preorders books (I like instant gratification). This book fits into the same universe as Float Plan and The Suite Spot – books which I ALSO loved. Also – disclaimer, I really genuinely think the real life Carla Black is a lovely person and so I went into this book with some bias. Doller’s Off The Map opens in Ireland, starring Carla Black whose family motto is here for a good time, not a long time. She’s going to meet Eamon Sullivan for Anna and Keane’s wedding and he’ll help get her there. Of course, the two take a detour and Eamon explores some of Ireland that was literal hours away that he’s just never been to. The two have a brief affair, but the feelings just might be real. Also, Carla is dealing with repressing emotions about her father’s dementia — she hasn’t seen him in a long time – instead she travels and then works to make more money to take off and travel again.

Off The Map was exactly the book I had hoped it would be. It made me want to travel and camp even though I don’t particularly like camping. I loved how sensitive the depiction of dementia was — having seen that in my real life — I was really pleased with how it was shown in this book. The characters were so well written. I loved their growth and how they changed throughout the book for the better. The chemistry was chef’s kiss. This is truly a special book and one I am so glad to have in my collection — it was well worth buying.

I would give this book 5 stars for the adorable cover alone!

This is the third book in a series of loosely connected standalones, but you do not have to read the others before this one!

Off the Map is a cute, spicy travel romance that is VERY open door compared to the two before it - something to be aware of going in! I thought Carla and Eamonn had off the charts chemistry from their initial meeting and it only continued as they travelled the Irish countryside together. Even when they were bickering it, their attraction shone through. They experienced many unexpected shenanigans and found love on the way - surprise surprise!

While it's my least favorite in the series, I still immensely enjoyed this book! Trish Doller has a writing style that I just adore and I like that this book was spicier (I know not everyone thinks the same lol).

I have really enjoyed this entire series. All three have been fun and cute with a tinge of sadness and heartfelt regret mixed in. Carla dealing with her father's dementia had me near tears at times.
This book was spicier than the first two. Carla and Eamon have an instant attraction and set off on a little adventure together.
Off the Map was a super quick, fun, and emotional read that I truly enjoyed. I highly recommend this whole series. I loved every minute of it.

Although this book isn’t my favorite, it is super sweet. The insta-love trope can be a hit or miss and I feel like this was in between. I wish there was a lot more plot to it besides the smut.

Carla is in love with traveling, learned from her trips with her Dad, Biggie. Eamon follows the rules, has a career and is the responsible son.
Once Carla lays eyes on Eamon sparks fly and the quick ride to Tralee turns into sexy, wandering days.
Biggie has a huge influence on Carla’s life attitudes he was big on saying you may not be where you intended to go, but you won’t be lost anymore. Unfortunately, he also made her run from love. The time with Carla has Eamon questioning his life, he wants to go and do too. Carla is pulled back to Florida because of Biggie’s health.
Will they let their feelings take over and travel together or will Carla run again? Is going home the best decision?
Great quick read, loved the characters, the heartfelt moments and the life/love realizations.
Left me wanting more.

Do you ever just want a really emotionally romance read? Because sometimes I get in this mind space where I desperately want to read a book where someone is going through something hard, but I know that at the end, they're going to have love and are going to be okay. And that is precisely the mood I would recommend picking up Off the Map in.

Carla is Anna's best friend and she flies to Ireland to be there for Anna's wedding. Eamon picks her up at a local pub and the two have this pretty immediate spark of connection, but Carla is incredibly opposed to getting into a relationship and Eamon is definitely still getting over his ex. But like, in a weird way. (His continual bringing up of his ex is the only reason this book is a 4 star and not a 5 star.) Anyway, Carla and Eamon turn out to have quite a lot in common. But Carla's also dealing with the fact that her dad, Biggie, is suffering from dementia and he's told her that she's not to come home because he doesn't want her to deal with him at the end of his life. Carla and Eamon wind up talking about so much while taking the very long way to Anna and Keenan's wedding and they have all of these incredible adventures and just get to know one another so well.

I really love Doller's writing. I love the way this book handles grief and longing and just... having people come into your life at both the exact perfect moment and at what also feels like not quite the right time. I love the way it considers people pleasing and so close to everything about it. I need to read book two in this series, but I'm already anxious to see what Doller writes next.

This book started off strong- a protagonist with an imperfect family situation who travels the world. As a lover of travel, I was initially intrigued. Then however, the book became a bit too cute and lost some of the uniqueness which initially captured my interest. It turned into a good book, but not one that I really loved. Accordingly, this was 3 stars ✨ for me.

I thought this story was so sweet! Maybe I had a connection to it because I travelled to Ireland a few years ago and feel in love with it. Trish Dollar did a great job with the MC chemistry, witty banter, and self-discovery. This novel is part of the Beck Sisters series, but I read this one first and did not feel like I was reading out of order or missing information from a previous novel. I look forward to reading her other works!

this book was an adorable, unique story that follows carla & eamon. he is tasked with picking her up from the airport & their lives perfectly intersect at this point in time. eamon is feeling lost & carla is always moving, they meet because of the wedding & things transpire throughout the story as their journey across ireland continues.

eamon was such a great book boyfriend & though things progressed from the start, it was a great story. i loved the characters & seeing how they interact and carry on through the road-trip is enjoyable.

I got about 40% into this but it wasn't holding my interest. I couldn't see any chemistry between the two MCs and the insta-love didn't feel right with me. There was no buildup before the characters got together and nothing about their interactions that showed the attraction there. DNF for me.

I really did enjoy this, I started and finished it in one day, pretty much in one sitting. So it's a great sign that I couldn't put it down! It absolutely made me want to travel around Ireland and have adventures and fall in love. I think what I'm realizing as I work my way through this series is that I always want more. I love Trish Doller's writing, but the stories always leave me wanting. I love how they're all quick reads, but I feel like with the deep topics explored, there needs to be more time for the characters to grow and to really give the space some of these things need. But all in all, it's a wonderful summer read!

This one was pretty slow for me, it was a decent plot though. I didnt realize this was the 3rd book in a series but it was pretty easy to follow along though and easily a standalone series. I am going to read the first two and come back to this one again.

Book 3 follows Carla who is best friends with Anna from Float Plan, and Eamon who is the brother of Keane. We get to see Anna and Keane again which made me so happy!

Carla is a free spirit who loves to travel and she loves her family. Eamon is just trying to figure out who he is. When Eamon is to give Carla a ride to the wedding, there is an instant connection. This book is much spicer than the previous two books I’m this interconnected series, and I’m here for it. This book was so sweet and fun, it made me enjoy the series again. Honestly I would just read book one and this one as I’m not a fan of book 2. Carla deals with some heavy things in the second half of the book once the wedding is over but I love how everyone helped her and it reminded me a lot of the deep feelings from Float Plan. I definitely recommend!
