This is one of those books that suffered from packing too much info into too few pages. I liked the premise, I liked the writing, I even liked Jon and Krista… The story just felt too rushed. I think this would have been a wonderful story if the characters were given enough time to get to know each other, gain a little bit of trust between them and work through the mystery together. *sigh*

Unfortunately, the writing style is not for me. 3 stars, as I need to be somewhat neutral

At first I did not think this was an Insta love story. I thought it was just a story which I thought would be beautiful. I was not disappointed at all. This is a beautiful witchy story. As beautiful as the cover, the story beautiful, happy and sad. If you have not read this, its a must. Fast read but lovely and would love to read more books by this author.

I received a free copy of the book and is voluntarily writing a review.

This was not the book for me. I thought the plot sounded interesting, but this book was disappointing to me.

The writing was unpolished and felt almost immature, the plot was filled with holes, the characters were poorly written with inconsistencies, and there was no chemistry between the characters who fell completely and totally in love after barely speaking. This book is also not really fantasy but more urban fantasy/fabulist where magic is real with zero world building (which can be fine, but it felt like that wasn't even mentioned in the summary so I had incorrect expectations going in).

This book is AMAZING!!! Once I started it, I couldn't put it down. I found that there was just the right amount of suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat and it all lead up to an explosive ending. What a great ride.

Love At First Sight

Krista had set up a new life in a new town with her business and had put her past as a Witch behind her with her ex fiancée. Unfortunately the ex fiancée turned up trying to blackmail her into money he said she owed him. Not knowing what to do a friend suggested she seek legal advice.

Jon Bartolo is the attorney she had been recommended and when they met, sparks flew. Both madly attracted to each other. Jon had his own issues, he was trying to find a way for his mother to find peace in death, she was half way between worlds due to a Witch’s curse.

A fast paced read, instant attraction, steamy with a HEA. If I had to have one criticism it would be that it was over too quickly and didn’t give any depth to the characters. Having said that, I did enjoy the story and would recommend it if you wanted a quick sweet read and I would read more from this author.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this story and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book went from 1-100 fast! Not sure how I feel about that because it didn't feel realistic for two people to meet and then suddenly he had his tongue down her throat. Cmon!!! Also, I didn't understand the end, as she was so scared to let him know about her past, but she had spoken to his mother and apparently knew she was under a curse and a witch! Why then all the confusion for her? Anyway, this books saving grace is that it was short and sweet.

This romance is a quick read with a good storyline. The characters were mature and their attraction was instant. The magical part of the story intrigued me.

If you are looking for a good palette cleanser between books, this one is very enjoyable.

I am in the mood for some witchcraft and felt that the story has a fun twist that you don't see in most books. The chemistry between Krista and Jon was off the hook, that first meeting in his office WOW! This is a fast pace no world building, and just enough character building to make it a fun weekend read.
