If you read this book, be prepared to have trouble putting it down. I couldn't stop reading and even at the end of chapters it leaves you wanting to keep going. Fast paced and enough twists to keep you guessing. I also liked how the chapters ended with articles, letters, etc. from the future.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for giving me an ARC copy of this book to read and review. All of these thoughts and comments are my own.

First, I want to say that this book has really good potentional.

Now, I really wanted to like this book. I do think the plot was great but everything was so rushed in this book. Too much stuff was constantly happening and it was difficult to keep up. I feel like it should have slowed down at some parts and explained better in other parts, like with Ava.

The ending sucked if I’m being honest. Something big happened and then the last chapter just skipped to the after math. No explanation whatsoever and I didn’t like it. This book was just all over the place in my opinion and I just wanted it to be more.

2.5 stars but rounded up to 3.

I absolutely loved this book! It was captivating from the start. I stayed up until 4am because I could not put this book down. Four Found Dead needs to be on your TBR pile because you do NOT want to miss it. It isn't your typical thriller. You know right away who the killer is, you don't know who's next to die, and the ending was *chefs kiss.* Read it; you won't regret it.

I teetered between a soft three or a two but alas the lesser won out.

“Four Found Dead” takes place in my backyard a small rundown mall and a closing movie theater in Sandusky, OH where the final shift is met with chaos and bloodshed.

I think my biggest issue with this book falls mostly work the characters themselves. Pacing wise this book is on from the start with little reprieve which works in its favor being a novel focused around surviving the night with a killer lurking in the shadows. Where this falls apart, however, is we have no real time to sink in and get to know these characters before they’re being killed off making their deaths not hit as hard as they should for the plot to move forward.

The one character we get the most background on is Jo who I liked though I think perhaps if there were alternate point of views per chapter it might have made this work better because that would help tease the who will or who won’t make it out instead of a single narrator who has the best odds of being the final girl simply because she’s telling us this story.

The mystery is also rather weak following the same issues I mention above, the motive could have been absolutely anything. Truly if you take out 3 pages you can make the entire reasoning behind the murders something completely different and the entire 98% of the story isn’t affected and maybe that works for some people but for me it waters down the foreshadowing or clues in mysteries that I like looking for as we go.

An interesting idea that may have needed a bit more time baking to truly be great but hopefully the next reader finds it enjoyable.

This book will grab your attention from the start and doesn't start until the final page. You will be reading each page and thinking you have it figured out and then, BAM!, another twist.

The book follows a group of teenage co-workers that are working their last shift at a movie theater in a mall that has already shut down for remodeling. The kids end up fighting for their lives while the killer hunts them down throughout the deadly trapped mall. All doors are barricaded and their are deadly obstacles at every turn. Not everyone will make it out alive.

This was such a great YA book, it was hard to stop reading and put down. It keeps you guessing on who is going to live and who will end up dead.

I normally love this author. We have several of her books in our collection, but there was such an issue of pacing.

I knew I was in trouble when the first chapter felt interminable and the pace did not pick up from there.

A YA locked-room thriller that keeps you on your toes the entire time.

A group of coworkers are closing down the movie theater they all work at for the last time- as the whole development is headed for demolition tomorrow. Suddenly the lights go out & terror ensues. As is the title of the book, we all know four will die tonight. Who will it be?

Plot seemed a little far-fetched at times, but for YA- well-written & kept my interest!

Thanks NetGalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review!

My very first job was at a movie theatre, so I was really excited to read this. My mistake was thinking that this was going to be more of a mystery, but you know within a few pages who the bad guy is so it's more of a tense thriller. I didn't love Jo as our main character, though (without giving away any spoilers) why she does what she does is explained very well. While I would have liked more of an epilogue or final wrap up, I did like the little news snips, etc. that were placed in to help get a feel of how everything played out after the fact.

Kindly received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this arc. This was a perfectly fine thriller. It was great at building tension. I liked how each character had a detailed past. I struggled a bit with the letters and the ending but a good read

Are we in big trouble? This book was everything I hoped for, alittle romance, murder, mystery and fun. River view theaters staff is locked in for their lastnight of cleaning if they make it out alive.. The story is told by Jo whose character I loved. I loved the book if you like mysteries you’ll love this. It will keep you guessing right until the end.

This book was a fun read; it kept me hooked and I liked the characters a lot. I recommend going in as blind as possible and enjoying the book!

This book was a rollercoaster for sure! I liked the plot, it reminded me a little bit of Five Nights at Freddy's but with a love killer. The writing felt a little juvenile and all over the place at times but overall I enjoyed this book. It was a fast read and I think teens who like suspenseful books will love it!

It’s their last night as movie theater employees, when dark things begin to happen. Each character was so well written and it was so easy to imagine them in real life. Full of twists and turns and endless creepy. I love when a book gets your heart racing. The thriller part was there, the scares and goosebumps were there, but towards the end of the book though, I was a little disappointed as it kept getting repetitive. It was easy to predict as the killer was introduced right from the start. I didn’t like the articles throughout the book, as they gave no answers at all. Just reiterating things we already knew.
Overall I think it was a great quick read! I will be trying the authors other books as I heard they are even better!

This is the fifth Natalie D. Richards book I usually enjoy her books but this one fell a little flat for me. I just did not like the over all story. It just felt like a boring thriller book to me. I found myself not really caring about or connecting with the characters. I am so sad I didn't love this book because I wanted to. I will keep reading more books by her. This one was just not the best.

A group of friends are getting ready to leave the movie theater in a closed down mall for the last time. An argument occurs and the lights go out. Terror strikes and a body is found. The doors are all boarded up and there’s no way out. They are trapped with a killer. This was an attention grabbing read and very suspenseful. Thanks NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Fire for this ARC!

Jo and her coworkers are set to celebrate their last day of work as the movie theater they have all worked together at closes for ever. The celebration is shattered however when one of the coworkers is found murdered. Jo knows right away what is happened but not why or who is next. As the title states, 3 more are poised to die.
A very tense thriller in which we follow Jo and her friends as they try to stay alive in a mall. You will never look at malls the same way again! If you like a tense and atmospheric thriller, a book about fleeing a killer, or just are a Natalie D. Richards fan, Four Found Dead is for you! #YA #Fourfounddead #NatalieDRichards

Loved this so much, characters were loveable minus Clayton he was just nuts. I liked all the twists and turns, this had me gripped from page one, read it in 2 sittings. Will look out for more books by this author.

I was so excited about this one, I mean a locked in murder mystery in an abandoned mall? Sign me up! Unfortunately for me though I didn’t enjoy it as much as I had hoped. The characters were not really introduced all that well in the beginning so I found myself not really caring when they died. The killer was also pretty much announced at the beginning of the book which took away the element of surprise and it wasn’t super suspenseful in that sense. The main conflict as to why the killer did what they did get like a cop out to me, and, I don’t really enjoy reading about underage relationships, especially when the other person involved is in their 30s. Overall this one put a sour taste in my mouth and I was really excited for it so that’s disappointing. The only thing I really enjoyed was the survival aspect and the fact that the author didn’t shy away from death and gory details.

Found Found Deal is a young adult novel about 8 employees working the last shift at a movie theatre. The movie theatre was the last operating business in the mall. As the employees are wrapping up for that final time, the theatre is plunged into darkness. Since the employees keep their phones, keys and wallets in the vault, there is no way out. In the chaos of darkness, people are on edge and then people go missing. After the first co-worker is found dead, the others realize they have to find a way out of this shut down mall if they want to survive.

As a former mall retail worker when I was a teenager, I was immediately drawn to this book. Closing down the store at night was always spooky and I thought this would be the perfect setting for a cat and mouse type murder mystery. I was a little disappointed when the killer was uncovered in the first few chapters and after that it was more of a “hide and seek” for the rest of the book. The characters really lacked development and I had trouble keeping track of who was still alive and who had died. There is a reveal at the end that clears up a bit of the motive but this wasn’t really a thriller or mystery. Overall, this is an easy, quick read that I still wanted to find out how it would end for our characters.
