Sparks fly from the first second these two faced each other in court, and things heated up from there! Small town characters with big personalities kept the story moving. Looking forward to reading more in this series.

I really love these books and all the new and old characters that Lexi brings to us. All of books are page turner and keep you on your toes.

I loved this book! Jayna came home, and truly found home. This book was funny, but it also touched on what really should matter in life. Their families and community coming together to help each other!

Another great book in this series! I couldn't put this book down. I loved Jayna and Quaid. Jayna is back in her hometown licking her wounds. Her life is not going at all like she thought, but she may just be on the path she is meant to be on. The one thing I love about this series is the humor and the quirky citizens. This is a small town that gets things done on a whole different schedule. As Jayna slows down in the bayou she may just see something she missed when she was younger. This book has plenty of heart and feels. Also shows how important family is. This is the perfect book to get lost in. The characters are engaging and pulled me right into the book. I'm hoping Jayna's sister gets a book. I would highly recommend this one!

I loved Jayna and Quaid’s story so much - though it wasn’t my favorite from the series. It was sort of insta lovey in a way I wasn’t expecting and I wish the issues each main character had with their individual mothers could have used more page time and resolution. Other than that, I was happy to be in Papillon again and can’t wait to go back.

A second chance romance that hits its mark. This book is everything. It’s funny and made me laugh. Made me tear up and just made me feel good. All the feels in this one, for sure. Butterfly Bayou series is one of my favorites and I can’t wait for more.

Jayna and Quaid's story was so much fun! The chemistry between the two of them was off the charts hot, making their antagonism-to-friends-to-so-much-more storyline absolutely delicious--and the courtroom scenes? LOL funny.

But it's not all steamy sex scenes and revege via nudity--Jayna and Quaid have some real obstacles to overcome before they get to HEA, and not a few of them involve getting the heck out of their own way. As much as they drove me crazy with their individual issues, Ms Blake 100% had me believing that they, at least, thought those obstacles were real and valid. Watching them--with help from some pretty unexpected places!--figure out their sh!t was beyond satisfying.

Bayou Beloved is the 6th book in the series, but it should work just fine as a standalone. But since I fully intend to read every book in this series, can I please request a Sienna and Landon book ASAP, please?

I love returning to Papillion and all of the characters there. It feels like I'm going back to a place that makes me feel safe and comfortable. So of course I was so happy to read this book because it took me back to one of my favorite small towns.

Jayna use to live in Papillion when she was younger but her family wasn’t rich and they also didn’t have the best reputation, but Jayne was smart and wanted out of the small town she grew up in. She was almost obnoxious about it, which didn’t go over well with other people. But she was ambitious and wanted to get out and prove to the world that she could be more than her upbringing. She wanted to show the world how amazing and smart she was. And she did accomplish that until life smacked her around a bit.

She thought she had the perfect life, high powered lawyer in a prestigious law firm. Married to the son of the law firm owner. She thought she had everything she could wanted until her life was turned upside down. She had to go back to Papillion with no money, no husband and no prestigious job. She was broke and back home. Now she's forced to take on cases that are nothing like what she use to do and even worse she has to go against her high school crush who's also a lawyer.

Quaid has been in previous books in this series and I knew it was only a matter of time before we got his book. Quaid is a lawyer that has followed in the footsteps of his father, which means he's the only lawyer for Papillion (until Jayna of course). He also has all the responsibilities to take care of his family and this is a tough burden to bear. So when he has a chance to get some help from the new lawyer in town he jumps at it.

I loved how Quaid and Jayne fit together and how Jayna started to realize that she had never had a relationship quite like the one she is having with Quaid, which of course scares the heck out of her. Quaid is ready for a relationship and honestly some help and he finds all of that in Jayna.

She's capable, strong and tough as nails in the court room. I loved that she wouldn’t back down on the cases she had against Quaid even though she's in a relationship with him. I also loved her relationship with her sister and all the things that went on there. I'm hoping for a book with her sister's story.

And Quaid is sweet, caring and so down to earth. He's not a snob nor does he care about anything but the quality of the people around him. I was so happy to finally see him meet his match and have his happily ever after. And of course I loved seeing what everyone in the town was up to.

This was another great add to this series and I continue to look forward to the other characters to come.

Oh, how I love a story that may have its roots in a classic. Think Spencer Tracy and Katheryn Hepburn in the movie classic, Adam's Rib! Two opposing attorneys and the chemistry that happens.

There's just something special about this series, right from book one!
I adore all of Lexi's books, and I find this series to be the easiest to enjoy. Like a lazy summer day, I enjoyed the pace, the small town vibe and there's usually a hidden or not so hidden agency to this series.
While I don't care for books that get preachy , Lexi doesn't let her point get in the way of her story.

If you enjoy small town romance and beach reads, you should pick this one up and read while on vacation, by the fire or at the lake! Honestly, I read this one so quickly wanted to go back and re- read book 1!!

Small-town romance books just bring coziness to another level. And Bayou Beloved brings it and more.

Bayou Beloved brings Jayna back to her small hometown. It definitely wasn’t in Jayna's plan to come back home. Life can become messy when you refuse to look the other way, but Jayna has her integrity. It doesn’t matter what people think since Jayna is more determined to get her life back on track. She is going to start by helping her hometown since there is only one lawyer in town. And it doesn’t help that she is going to compete with her former high school crush, Quiad.

Quiad has followed every expectation from him. But it doesn’t help that he feels a little burnt out, especially from his family. And yet, he perks up when he battles with Jayna. He doesn’t know why, but he feels more of himself whenever he banters with her. She has a sassy mouth, and he wants to know what she will say next and other things as well.

Their courtship may be unexpected, but it’s the best thing to happen to them. They won’t know it at the time. They both have issues to sort out, but they have each other in the end.

This was another fantastic story in the Bayou series. Quaid and Jayna were both strong personalities, but Jayna had a chip on her shoulder. Quaid was great about balancing Jayna and bringing her back to who she needs to be. This small town is one that I love visiting because it is such a great place. There are plenty of quirks and we touch on those from previous stories. I definitely recommend this book.

Thanks for the ARC! The quaint town of Papillon plays host again to the three Ls: Lust, Libido, and Love. This time, it's Quaid Havery's turn when his high school admirer, Jayna Cardet comes back to Papillon after her stint as a big-city lawyer. But Jayna doesn't let this setback in her career keep her down...now that her high school crush is finally giving her some attention. As Quaid tries to work out issues with his family, just as Jayna is doing the same, when the time comes, will Jayna want to start over in Dallas, or stay on as Papillon's city counsel, and partner with Quaid in love and (courtroom) wars?

With cameos from characters in previous books in the series, it's s bit like coming home, too, for loyal readers of Lexi Blake's series. It's s book that Blake's readers have come to expect, and you will want to bring this book with you on the next beach vacation.

Thank you Lexi Blake for pulling me out of my misery. Misery aka reading slump.
I already reread my favorite books when this one hit my Kindle and I dived right in. I loved the characters. They were unique and quirky without being too forced. I loved that both of them had their flaws, made mistakes and even in the end it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, but two lawyers still going at it as foreplay :D
I loved the plot and the character development and I know what book I wish for as next in the series! I loved that even side characters got developed and gave me another glimpse in the life in Papillon. I really wish that town was real, but I probably couldn'T decide whether to live there or in Bliss...

I knew that once I started laughing within the first 2 chapters that this would be a great book. Full of humor but also heart, I loved returning to Papillion again. (I've actually been going through the audiobooks of the prior stories for the last week). In this story, Jayna and Quaid have to overcome their differences and their past in order to achieve their HEA. Quaid is the rich boy who became the town lawyer while Jayna was originally from the wrong side of the tracks but she fought hard and rose above her past to become a successful lawyer, only to lose it all because of 1) doing what is right in her job which was not looked favorably upon by other lawyers and 2) because she wanted to keep her dog Luna (I immediately adored Jayna for that). Quaid felt immediate attraction to Jayna and overall, this is a hilarious and low angst story (Although I was not a fan of Jayna's mother at all and of Quaid's mom initially as well.) As always, the supporting cast added quirky fun, the cases that Quaid and Jayna covered made me laugh out loud, and there were plenty of swoons, both because of the main characters but also because of the extended cast made of multiple couples from prior books in the series. A wonderfully fun way to spend a few hours!

I’ve enjoyed the stories in Papillon. The townspeople are delightfully quirky and yet real. Quaid, the town’s lawyer, is almost too good to be true, like a vintage sitcom. I liked him immediately yet couldn’t understand his attraction to Jayna. She was a bit caustic, and it took me quite a bit to warm up to her and feel she was a good match for him. Their chemistry grew and was enjoyable to watch in their legal battles, as well as their blossoming relationship. The banter between them, friends, and family was fun, as well as the court cases. I did feel that all the family drama was a bit much for this book. Especially when everything just magically resolved. But overall, it was a fun nice read about a town and people I like.

Ah, the humorous Papillion small town shenanigans continue in Bayou Beloved. Lexi Blake's wonderful sense of humor made this book a fabulously fun book to read. How family dynamics skew our emotions and interactions with not only our family members but those around us play a significant role in this romance. Courtroom antics, a judge who just wants to go fishing, snobbery and elitist attitudes and senior citizen exhibitionists are but a few of the components in this story. Heck, even Brian the Bandit and his thieving raccoons make another appearance.

Oh how I love Jayna Cardet and Quaid Havery! Their verbal sparring and innuendoes have Papillion's gossip central so rife with titillating bits about them it is like a runaway train. Jayna thought she'd left Papillion behind yet here she is, a disgraced big city attorney, facing her former high school crush and litigating over a cut down tree. Not only did Quaid not recognize his high school French tutor, he didn't remember her name. Oops! Just when Jayna thought her life couldn't get any worse....well it does. Fortunately Quaid comes to the rescue and they end up forming a short term partnership that benefits them both. However, although she doesn't plan on staying. He doesn’t plan on letting her go.

I always love returning to Butterfly Bayou . Lexi Blake has something extremely special with this series. Each book gives you just what you need. That small-town, cozy feeling, a sense of family and a wonderful romance. Bayou Beloved is the latest story in this fantastic series.

Jayna ade her way out of Papillion Louisiana and never thought she’d return. Her dream came true when she made it out of the town and became a lawyer until that dream fell apart. Now she is back home and finds herself practicing law in a quirky little town.

Quaid always knew he was gonna be a lawyer and had planned to follow in his father‘s footsteps. As the only lawyer in a small quirky town, Quaid has surely seen his fair share and pretty much everything goes. Until a spitfire and gorgeous woman walks into his courtroom, setting him at full attention. She’s unlike anyone he’s met before, but then he finds out, he definitely knows this woman.

Jayna and Quinn, you are fantastic together. I love their chemistry and their banter. Both of them have their issues to overcome but yet they found a way to argue themselves into a relationship. Jena has no intentions of sticking around Papillion for too long but yet her reasons for leaving are becoming less important than her reasons for not staying. Expect Bayou Beloved to make you laugh, give you a reason to shake your book a bit, and have you rooting for these two unique people to find their way together.

I so enjoy this series though I haven't read them all. Blake has created an interesting place with a wide range of fascinating characters. Quaid and Jayna are just awesome.

Jayna rang true to me. I also couldn't wait to get out of my small town for a bigger life. Like her, I've since figured out small home towns aren't as bad as we think they are. And big cities aren't all all they're cracked up to be. There's a lot to be said for everyone knowing everyone and life at a slower pace.

There's also the age old story of misunderstanding each other's motives and working from those wrong assumptions. Jayna has them about her town, her mother, Quaid. She's got a lot to learn about the way life really is. It's not always easy. Quaid pretty much decides right away he wants to get to know Jayna but it takes her much longer to trust him and believe him. The back and forth was interesting and the final conclusion not as obvious coming as you'd think. Next thing you know, Jayna is actually looking forward to defending the criminal raccoon who's just been nabbed.

I really liked how real the characters in this story are. They're sometimes difficult but always interesting. They're also multifaceted and peeling off the layers was great. I recommend this book.
