This book was clearly written by someone who knows and believes in middle schoolers. The legalese was a bit much for what I imagine my students can comprehend, but the passion for our earth, urgency of the need for environmental activism, and way middle school issues were woven throughout the story was realistic. I loved the clever way names were changed to reflect current people involved in politics. It made me laugh out loud in places, but it also gave me pause reflecting on the state of our planet. Students would enjoy this book and I plan to add it to my environmental activism collection.

This was a great book! I loved how the characters were written and the way the plot evolves. The story's theme is also written really well!
