Starting the book, I felt like there was a missing first chapter. We were suddenly thrown into the thick of things with Grace taking shelter in James's house.
It was explained briefly why she needed help but it was poorly written.
The romance was extremely instantaneous, they started kissing about 2 days after their first meeting. The unexplainable pace was consistent throughout the book, the author tried to cram a lot action and obstacles in one short book which made it feel super dense.
The writing was the saving grace, it wasn't boring and made the book, although underwhelming, readable, and sometimes even enjoyable.
Sadly, it wasn't my cup of tea.
