If you wanted more of this trio, but Embry is your favorite, this is the book for you. This second installment is a huge dash of Embry and Greer. She's been taken, there are twists, there are turns, and we get flashbacks and all kinds of depth that only make these characters more likable. This one is just as steamy, and the more emotion is layered in there, the steamier it feels. I'm ready for book three!

American Prince picks up right where we left off in American Queen. Greer has been taken, and she's found herself in peril on what should be the best week of her life... her honeymoon. Yet, not all is what it seems in New Camelot, and their sweet prince, Embry, finds himself in way too deep. This thrilling sequel to one of the best political romances I've read in a long time brings so much more depth to their story. Embry, Ash, and Greer are faced with more than her kidnapping. They're commit to each other is about to be tested in ways that will break your heart. Trust me, I freaking cried like a baby, and I never cry. So freaking good.

Like I said before Sierra Simone and the American Prince series is a classic iconic comfort read for a reason. I swooned I wished I in the book.

The first book in this series was just an intro into the story where Greer was given front sit, and now with book two - we get something else, which is nice, but it also changed the reception of this book as we got a lot of Embry's POV and Greer's as well.

Be ready for a story that is not fast in happening, has a lot of backstories, and a great style of writing that will glue you to the pages. This threesome is complicated and needs to work their problems in the spotlight of the First US Couple. Be ready for the time shifts - as it's happening rather for quite some time. Tbh, not for me.

I didn't love the first one but went ahead and read this one too. Nope, waste of my time, shouldn't have done it.

The New Camelot trilogy continues where the cliffhanger left off in American Queen, and let me tell you I think this is my favorite of the three books.
The Vice President tells his point of view of the story of himself, Maxon and Greer while spice ensues. This book had me feeling emotional, hot and slightly sweaty while also wondering how certain scenes really would play out in real life. I couldn’t stop listening to this one and was simultaneously glad that I could absolutely under no circumstances listen to this on audio while at work so that I could make the story last longer.
Pure entertaining spice with a twist ending that I absolutely did not see coming that had me slapping my steering wheel on my commute to work.
Thank you to Bloom Books and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this in exchange for my honest opinion.

I was thrilled that this book continues the story of Greer, Maxen, Embry. Like the last book, this one is steamy steamy steamy. I was much more invested in the plot of this one than I was with the first book, I think that was a testament to how much I'm enjoying these characters.

I think I was mad for a good 40% of this book.. at least the last half. I could not believe that after EVERYTHING the characters had gone through, this is what was happening to them.

I do love the jumping of timelines so I can get to know the just mentioned stories in the previous book and I did adore Embry despite his.. destructive personality sometimes getting in the mix. While the ending made me want to throw my iPad across the room, I am all the more anxious for the third book!

thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy of American queen. this was part of a romance trilogy that was fantastic. I have been enjoying just blatant romance books lately and this was definitely one to check out.

please note that the topes/themes may contain spoilers
3.5 ⭐ rounded up to 4
MCs: Embry, Greer
POV: 1st person, dual POV
HEA: no- cliffhanger
spice: lots of spicy scenes (FM, MM, MMF)
TWs: attempted SA, attempted rape, rape (recounted, not too detailed), CNC scenes, detailed BDSM scenes, death of parents (recounted), mental manipulation, incest, dubious consent, age gap (10 years), war themes, sexual harassment, kidnapping
standalone: book 2 of New Camelot series- should be read in order
final thoughts: this was a fun book with a ton of twists, turns, tropes. Once again, the book ended on a cliffhanger and once again, I’m dying. The sex scenes are still great- detailed, well written, interesting, and super hot but once again all the flashbacks and war talk kept taking me out of the moment.

This Camelot trilogy has been so fun! I am flying through these books and loving every second! In typical Sierra Simone fashion, these have been sexy, exhilarating, dramatic and fun. I've been heard that this series reminds people of Olivia Pope and Scandal and I absolutely agree! Although, the cliffhanger in this title?! Jumping into book 3 immediately.

American Prince by Sierra Simone is book two of the American Queen series. This book continues where book 1 left off with Greer's story. However, it is told in the point of view of Embry. Yet again, flew through this book. LOVED IT!!! NEED MORE!! I can't wait to see where book three will take us!

American Prince by Sierra Simone is book Two in the New Camelot Trilogy. This continues the story of Greer Galloway, Ash Colchester and Embry Moore. Their story started in the previous book 'American Queen', so you really need to read that book first. This book lays heavily on Embry point of view. This is a really good Trilogy and I am excited to read more in the next installment.

Sierra Simone's American Prince tells the story of Embry Moore, who we met in Greer's book, American Queen.

In this book, the unique relationship between the characters is fascinating, and I found it to be the most interesting aspect of the book. Simone's steamy scenes are certainly hot and detailed, of course.

The plot itself is like an episode of Shonda Rhimes' Scandal, with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. Just when I thought I had the plot figured out, Simone hit me with a twist that left me gasping and saying "WTF."

I'm interested to read American King, because reading things from Embry's perspective makes you not like Mr. Pres very much lol

Told in past and present Emory pov also with Greer pov. Reading about Emory and Ash’s relationship from the beginning equal starry eyes. A little more adventure added with some of the plot taking place during the war, and also the events that ended in book one continue in book two.

A continuation in the New Camelot series, Embry Moore’s book is a deeper look at who he is and what has shaped his darkest desires. I felt a little torn over this one; Embry had the potential to be my favorite in the trio, but I felt like he still had a wall up, even in his personal narrative. American Queen left us on a cliff hanger and this is where Embry’s book picks up. He volunteers to go rescue Greer from the diabolical Melwas, and just as in Book 1, there are then and now moments that give insight into Embry’s character. To be honest I could have cared less about the war storyline and was more invested with his and Maxen’s relationship, which we do get some of in this book. I considered DNFing when Embry saves Greer because of the encounter between them—no spoilers but it was rough, so check your content warnings. I’m glad I continued because the book gets to the good SPICE (with an all caps spice) once the trio is reunited. If you are unfamiliar, this is definitely taboo erotica more than romance, so if you aren’t prepared, I’d suggest reading something more low key first. But the spice is good. VERY descriptive and completely fantastical (I mean I don’t know anyone who has this much sex or this type, for that matter), but good. There are also several plot twists, (if I could show you my text thread with a friend buddy reading—lots of !!! ?? and cussing at characters). Embry’s book definitely had me quickly reaching for American King because I just have to know what happens next. If you enjoy pure escapism, with a bit of political thriller and lots of taboo MMF coupling, then I’d highly recommend. I received this copy in advance from Sourcebooks Bloombooks in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

I wasn't into this one as much as the first book. Everything got even weirder on the taboo front.
I don't know, I feel like perhaps after all the reactions regarding the taboo of American Queen, the author tried to push the envelope too far, but that's just my opinion. Overall pretty much everything about this book just frustrated me storewide. I absolutely hate Greer and wanted to throw the book through the room multiple times.
On a positive note, I enjoyed the writing in this book a lot more than the first one!
