Thank you netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books. I loved finally getting deeper into who Embry is and why he is so sad and ashamed all the time. I enjoyed reading about the past him and Ash have! Reading Embry and Ash’s love story breaks my heart in so many ways. I love the author for giving us this trilogy where you get each characters POV so you can dive deeper into all the different emotions and struggles they all faced. I loved the first book and this book so I am so excited to find out how this amazing series ends!

American Prince is book two in the New Camelot trilogy and so much action happens with Embry, Ash, and Greer. There are constant surprises and twists that I never experienced. These three characters have such different personalities, traits, and feelings.

This book has solidified my absolute love for Embry and how my heart breaks when he doesn’t get the love he deserves. The MMFR dynamic is always difficult for couples, especially in the beginning and when there’s separate relationships occurring. Ash and Embry have their own difficult past to face, while Ash and Greer feel a duty to each other.

After the twists and turns of this book, I’m intrigued to see how the trilogy ends. I hope these three can make their dynamic work and everyone feels the love they deserve. Even though they all have different personalities, they fit so well together and I hope it can work out they way they want.

I keep on giving books by Sierra Simone chances, but i keep on being disappointed. Maybe her books just aren't for me.

There was a scene in the beginning, which i thought was totally disturbing. In the middle of the book I started to think that it maybe wasn't the worst but then the end was so stupid, that I really couldn't understand the decisions the characters made.

Will I still read the last part? Probably, because i need to know how it all ends.

I love sierra simones writing style and the continuation of the series. Sierra simone can do not wrong and I will read anything she writes. The spice was immaculate!!

The second installment in the New Camelot series told in a dual timeline/pov. With a large focus on Embry from his past and navigating his relationship with Ash and Greer.

The growth and vulnerability Embry holds close was so incredibly emotional. This deeper look into his thoughts and connections gave readers the chance relate to him on a deeper level than we had in American Queen. This one definitely feels more balanced with plot and spice but not lacking in the typical Sierra Simone heat level.

This was not my favorite, but only because of the point of view. I didn't mind the story as much from Greer's point of view, but something just bothered me with Emery's pov. I know that was just personal preference. I still love Sierra Simone and can't wait to tackle the next book.

Of course this is based on the King Arthur legend, but the names of some characters are a bit too much. I think changing the names more could have made me feel a bit better.

This story picks up right where American Queen left off and is told from Embry's past and present and Greer's POV. Overall this was truly Embry's story.

Embry feels like he gets all the shit that is leftover and just deals with it. Why can't Embry have something good? I think the idea was for this to be a throuple situation, but it gives Ash and Greer with Embry getting the leftovers of the other two.

Greer at times also feels like the extra because of the past between Embry and Ash....so like why is Greer here at all? To show the world that the president doesn't have a secret male lover?? Do not get me started on Embry saving Greer and her being like "fuck me like Ash" SIS THATS NOT HOW THIS WORKS?! and also the SA that Embry saved her from only to do a little CNC thing? It was full ick and I hated it.

And I know Ash is supposed to be the Dom, but Ash chill out because this is icky too.

I want to know what is going to happen and if the author chose to continue the "throuple" or if it ends with some combo of just two of them being together. This was such a let down from the first book.

American Prince by Sierra Simone is the second book in the New Camelot Trilogy surrounding Greer, Ash and Embry.

The story continues right after the end of American Queen, and this is a spicy ride. This book is even messier than the first one. Something happens to Greer and that gave the first part of the book quite some suspense and I really liked that. However, afterwards it was only focused on the spicy. At some point that was just too much and too repetitive and I would have rather seen some deeper themes and them working on their relationship.

It was also evident that there was a hierarchy in the relationship with the president at the top and the others didn’t feel equal at all. I really liked that we not only got Greer‘s perspective, but also Embry‘s. And this installment is heavily focused on Embry and he is sadly the one I like the least out of the three of them. Some things in this book were a bit questionable and I was not a fan of the plot with Abilene and she is just vile.

Overall, I’m very torn about this second, but at the same time I definitely want to see the finale of their story. 3 stars.

Sierra Simone's American Prince tells the story of Embry Moore, an Army captain and Vice President who only feels like a prince when he's with Maxen and Greer, and only between them can he find peace from his demons. But happiness is not something men like him deserve, and the love between them is sharp enough to cut both ways. The story is a perfect reflection of why a polyamorous relationship may work for some, and the unique relationship each character shares with one another is truly captivating.

As for my thoughts on the book, I have to say that I was not prepared for the heart-wrenching ending. The last 20 minutes had me gasping, crying, and throwing up - it was just so intense. Simone's smutty scenes are incredibly well-written and almost poetic, and the references to Achilles and Patroculus are simply beautiful. The plot, the characters, and the writing are all perfection. The unique relationship between the characters is fascinating, and I found it to be the most interesting aspect of the book. Simone's steamy scenes are certainly hot and detailed, and had me flustered while listening to the audiobook.

The plot itself is like an episode of Shonda Rhimes' Scandal, with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. Just when I thought I had the plot figured out, Simone hit me with a twist that left me gasping and saying "WTF." I loved every bit of this book, although my only critique is that there are chapters upon chapters of pure smut, followed by a last chapter that's all drama and plot. It would have been better to ease into that last chapter, as it caught me off guard. In summary, American Prince is an outstanding book that I highly recommend.

Rating; 3.5 stars ⭐

This series wasn't for me personally but if you like a series with a lot of twists and turns, you would like this!

Thank you to Netgalley, Sierra Simone and Sourcebooks Bloom Books for providing me with this copy. All opinions are my own.

This book definitely gave me all the soap opera vibes. Plotting. Backstabbing. Revenge. Blackmail. Incest. Secret kids. Heartbreak. It’s the whole package.

I feel like with the amount of balls that the author was attempting to juggle with this book then I am impressed. Is there the potential that something could have been set down to focus a little more on plot and less on shock value? I think there’s a case to be made for it.

However, she can write a cliffhanger and I am without a doubt going to start the third book to find some resolution. So everything else being said this is definitely a series that will pull you in if you can set aside your disbelief and just enjoy the world the author has crafted.

Thank you NetGalley for giving me access to all three of the books in this series. I didn't enjoy the first book as much as I thought I would after hearing so many good things about it, but I liked it well enough to pick up the second book. I regret being ambitious and requesting all three blindly because after this one, I really don't think I'm going to continue in this series. That's not to say that some people won't enjoy this, because looking at Goodreads, I can safely say I am in the minority, but this just wasn't for me.

Let's start off with a trigger warning for rape, shall we? Can honestly say that after book one, I was NOT expecting that.

I wasn't the biggest fan of Greer in book one, and I HATE her in book two. She is awful and annoying and a TERRIBLE main character. She is the main reason that I had to talk myself out of DNF'ing multiple times. I just didn't think I could handle another sentence of her whining. I liked how even though book one was also a dark of forbidden romance, it had a decent enough plot to keep me invested, but the same cannot be said for this book. Plot was nonexistent and instead the rest of the book consisted of entirely unremarkable smut scenes. The least awful character in the first book WAS Embry and this book somehow made me hate the character that I think I was supposed to love.

I also know that this is fantasy, but so many scenes and comments from the characters just took me out of this book completely. This was not even remotely believable. I'm sorry, I don't care how good your sex was last night, NO ONE IS SMILING WHILE GETTING KIDNAPPED BECAUSE THEY FUCKED TWO MEN THE NIGHT BEFORE. NO ONE. Not one single person.

So if this book DID work for you, that makes me happy for you. For me personally, I think I'm done with this series and I will try reading her book "Priest" next since I bought it already and need to give something else a try.

This is the second installment of the New Camelot trilogy. The first book ended on a cliffhanger, and I couldn't wait to dive in and find out what happens next. In this one, we get to explore the mind and motivations of Embry, who is my favorite of the men in this series. He has been through some stuff, for sure. Although he might seem one way on the outside, on the inside he has such a huge loving heart. This is extremely spicy and not like anything I have ever read before. And, of course, the ending makes you want to immediately read the next one.

Sierra Simone can do no wrong and she has done it again with American Prince! After reading American Queen, I was immediately a fan of Embry and was looking forward for his POV. But OMG after finishing American Prince, I can not stop thinking about it! My emotions! Excited to read American King next!

Thank you to Netgalley and SourceBooks Bloom Books for this ARC.

I loved a lot of elements to this book, but that ending... I did not like it, but that tends to happen in the middle of a 3 book series. I can't wait to read the last book. Also, check TWs.

I definitely liked this book over the first book, American Queen. I loved how Embry rescues Greer from being kidnapped in the heat of the moment where the two of them share a very steamy scene. I also loved how, after Greer and Emery come back, there are a few spicy moments with Ash as well. I really liked that we got to see Embry’s point of view. I feel so sorry for him how he doesn’t feel like he deserves love at times. The sacrifices he makes for them. I liked reading Embry and Ash’s history with them in the war. Then, about halfway through the book, everything changed. There were a few plot twists that I really did not like. I also hated a few characters and would keep chanting, "kill them!” over and over again. I’m not happy with the ending, but that’s probably because I normally don’t read series where the middle books don’t end in a happily ever after. Very looking forward to reading the American King to get Ash’s Point of view and to see how the whole series wraps up.

Read if you like:
Dual POVs
MMF romance
Somewhat of a dystopian society
Plot twists
Whips and spanking
Open door romance

A bit disappointing in comparison to the previous book. I just need a little bit more out of it. And I was just left feeling a little meh.

WOW...I thought the first book in this series was good, but it has nothing on American Prince. Everything intensifies; the relationships, the storyline, the heat level. I am so hooked on the relationships between Greer, Embry and Ash, and I love that we get to see glimpses from the past as well as the developments in the present.
