A rom com that gave me all the feels. It's exciting with characters that you can't help but like. The enemies to lover's is the prominent role.

couldnt fully enjoy this book i just feel it wasnt for me. I couldnt fully sink into the story and didnt capture my attention. While this book wasnt for me i know other people will love it

I really enjoyed this fun, lighthearted romcom. It adhered to all the classic cliches and tropes all of us romcom lovers adore, without making them feel tired or overdone. The characters made me laugh, and the narrative was followed beautifully

I’m a closeted rom-com super fan, so I knew this book would be right up my alley. But I wanted more from it than what I ultimately got. The story was absolutely chock full of romantic comedy references, which I loved, but I was hoping to see them woven through the plot more instead of call outs/re-creations. That said, the love story at the center was great. The characters had solid chemistry, and I always love a grumpy/sunshine trope. Some of the peripheral plot fell flat for me though. All in all, a great quick and delightful read for a rom com lover. 3.5 stars rounded up.

I always get excited when a new Kathryn Freeman book drops on my kindle as I've been a huge fan of hers since 2016. With the recent furore over The Sunday Times bestseller list omitting the romance category, the title of Kathryn Freeman's latest novel couldn't be more relevant: Nobody Puts Romcoms in the Corner...not even The Sunday Times!

This is the story of when Harry met Sally and yes, that famous movie scene does get mentioned in the book. The Sally in this case being Harry's landlady who he meets when his relationship ends and he needs somewhere to live. Hunky builder Harry couldn't be more different to romcom loving café owner Sally but there's definitely a spark there and it's only going to get hotter.

I loved both Harry and Sally's backstories and it's Sally who sees a money-making opportunity in recreating famous scenes from her favourite films and getting sponsorship on TikTok. Harry is surprisingly amenable, possibly something to do with Sally's alluring big blue eyes and I loved seeing which scene they would come up with next.

It was great fun to relive some iconic movies through Sally and Harry's hilarious re-enactments. To name but a few, there's scenes from Dirty Dancing, Never Been Kissed, An Officer and a Gentleman, Pretty Woman, When Harry Met Sally, and of course the abomination that is Love Actually.

Entertaining, funny and completely heartwarming, Nobody Puts Romcoms in the Corner is classic Kathryn Freeman and it's sure to put a smile on the face of everyone who reads it.

NOBODY PUTS ROMCOMS IN THE CORNER by Kathryn Freeman is a light, chick lit story about Sally, a romcom fanatic, and Harry, who is on the heels of a messy break-up and doesn't "get" romcoms. The two become roommates and start reenacting classic romcom moments - posting their videos on TikTok and going viral. I liked the premise of this book, but ultimately had trouble getting into the TikTok/viral concept. I also sometimes struggle with the grumpy/sunshine trope, which this definitely follows! Lovers of this trope, or folks who don't mind the TikTok premise would likely really enjoy this novel! Freeman's writing is breezy, funny, and romantic.

Great characters and chemistry throughout. Lovely nuggets and nods back to classic romcoms!
I really enjoyed seeing the MC and love interest come together and get their HEA

This book was so cute! I loved the references to different romantic comedies. I really loved the banter between the two main characters. I also liked how it was more than just romance. I always enjoy romance books that include more of a plot to them so this was great!

Cute romcom, I really like the main character and all in all it was really lovable to read.

After another stressful but successful school year, all I wanted to do was shut off my brain and get back to enjoying reading. This book achieved that for me by getting me out of my slump. A really quick read with a cute concept and loveable characters... except Kitty and Harry's parents, I hated them. Going back a bit, the concept? I absolutely loved it. I am a rom-com junkie whose favorite movie of all time is Dirty Dancing. So yeah, after reading the title and seeing the cover, I was pretty easily sold. The grumpy x sunshine was so well done in this that I was pretty much kicking my feet the entire time. I definitely recommend this, especially to hopeless romantics.

I really enjoyed this one, it was a quick and easy read - a good solid chick lit novel perfect for holiday reading. A little predictable but that didn’t spoil the read.

I was truly riding the struggle bus all through this book. Great idea that just ran too long and I didn't really believe the two characters. There was no chemistry. I didn't really care if they got together or not. It just wasn't for me.

Since Dirty Dancing is one of my all time favourite movies, I was so excited for this book. And it definitely did not disappoint, What a cute story! If you love classic romcoms, you'll have a great time with this one. Because it's absolutely filled to the brim with references! It's almost like a fun easter hunt to track them all down. I loved the FMC and MMC, their chemistry was amazing! They had the most hilarious banter. Don't read this book in public unless you want to get weird stares because you'll be laughing out loud so many times.

A charming and light read. Great to take to the beach.
