In "The Naughty or Nice Clause", the author masterfully weaves a delightful tale of rivalry, romance, and holiday magic against a picturesque winter backdrop. The story centers on two ambitious colleagues, Lyla and Mason, who find themselves in a fierce competition.
The setting is beautifully described, with the enchanting winter wonderland serving as a perfect backdrop for their escalating tension and undeniable chemistry. The author captures the festive spirit with vivid imagery, making readers feel as if they are walking through snow-laden streets adorned with twinkling lights.
Lyla is portrayed as a strong, determined character who is not afraid to go after what she wants, while Mason, with his charm and wit, presents a worthy adversary. Their playful banter and competitive nature add a layer of tension that keeps readers engaged. As they navigate office politics and holiday festivities, the story explores themes of ambition, personal growth, and the unexpected nature of love.
The romance develops organically, with moments that are both heartwarming and humorous. The supporting cast, including quirky coworkers and a wise mentor, adds depth and lightness to the narrative.
Overall, "The Naughty or Nice Clause" is a delightful read that balances the competitive spirit of the workplace with the warmth of holiday romance. It’s a perfect choice for anyone looking to escape into a charming, festive story filled with love and laughter. Whether you're a fan of office romances or just in need of some holiday cheer, this book is sure to warm your heart.

Absolutely loved this book, could not put it down, i had to read it to the end to see what happens. Kept me going and absolutely loved the story. The way Lyla clashes with Mason all the time, yet the attraction is there you can feel it. The cancelled Christmas party was so funny and the fire all because of a pizza had me in stitches at one stage, but the fact it brought them together was fab. Loved loved loved the book can not wait to read the next one.

I am here for every book that makes me think of Hallmark movies, and this one did just that. All the things Christmas in every way plot-wise, silly and adorable.

This book was a cute quick holiday read. It was like a cozy cute hallmark movie in a book! Thank you for the opportunity to read this book!

A cute, quick holiday read. I enjoy enemies to lovers, but these characters could've used a touch more chemistry. Would probably make a good Hallmark Christmas movie.

The Naughty Or Nice Clause plunges readers into a festive blend of romance and corporate intrigue, set against the enchanting backdrop of a winter wonderland. The plot centers on Lyla, who is thrust into an unexpected partnership with the cold and calculating Mason Klaus after her father’s unexpected retirement and the shocking revelation that the family toy company is bankrupt. The tension between Lyla and Mason is palpable, especially after Mason cancels the beloved annual Christmas party, prompting Lyla to defy him and throw the event anyway—leading to a disastrous fire. This catastrophe forces Lyla into an uncomfortable deal with Mason, which includes spending twelve days with his family in a magical winter village, under the guise of being his fiancée. The plot thickens with secrets, pretenses, and a simmering attraction that adds a spicy twist to the traditional holiday romance narrative.
While the story has echoes of familiar romantic tropes—enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and a dash of fake dating—The Naughty Or Nice Clause distinguishes itself with its cozy, festive atmosphere. The magical winter village where Mason’s family resides adds an element of wonder and charm, reminiscent of classic holiday tales. The novel’s setting and seasonal spirit make it an ideal read for the holidays, wrapping readers in a warm, comforting embrace. The interplay between Lyla and Mason, along with the cozy, festive elements, offers a delightful escape, making this book a charming addition to any holiday reading list.

This book was a cute quick holiday read. Reminded me of a spin of The Santa Clause with a bit of romance.
When Lyla’s father retires she thought she would be given her shares from the toy store that has been in her family for many generations. Instead he sells shares to Mason Klaus.
Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes. I just didn’t feel much chemistry between the characters.
This also had some of my other favorite tropes, fake dating and small town romance.. This definitely reminds me of a Hallmark movie!
Thank you NetGalley and Kate Callaghan for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

I'm obsessed with Christmas novels and was so excited to get a chance to read this one! It was like a cozy cute hallmark movie in a book! Thank you for the opportunity to read this book!

A cute little fantasy romance with a spin on the classic Santa Claus story!
We have enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and magic!! It was a little tough for me to get into this book due to it being in 3rd person, but once I got past that it was better.
Cute little Christmas book!!

The Naughty or Nice Clause was quite a fun read. Obviously very Christmasey, which is always fun to read around the season. The romance fell a little bit short for me, but there were definitely some characters I really enjoyed. It was a fun take on the usual things we 'know' about this sort of story, but I don't know that I"d read it again. Probably a 2.5 read for me. Thank you for the opportunity to read it!

This was a delightful and festive experience that evoked the sentimental charm of classic Hallmark movies. It was heartwarming and I look forward to revisiting it during the holiday season. I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed This book. It was well written. I was able to engage with characters and plot. I would Read another book by this author and I recommend This book

I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review.
I found The Naughty or Nice Clause to be an absolute delight. I found Mason and Lyla's enemies to lovers story adorable. I disagreed with some of the decisions Lyla made throughout the progression of the story, but overall it fit right into the enemies category. However even while she was working on things in secret she had a guilty conscience. The tension between them was written so well and I was dying for them to finally kiss. I really enjoyed reading this story and can't wait to read more of Kate Callaghan's work.

I thoroughly enjoyed the enchanting twist on this Santa Claus tale infused with romance. The enemies-to-lovers trope, expertly executed, added depth to the narrative, making it one of my favorite elements. Despite differing opinions in reviews, I found this book charming and would eagerly explore more works by the author. Narrated predominantly from Lyla's perspective, the story unfolds with endearing chemistry between her and Mason, evolving from animosity to genuine connection. The well-developed characters, witty dialogue, and engaging storyline, coupled with the author's evocative writing style, kept me captivated throughout. With a love for Christmas and its cozy charm, I highly recommend picking up this delightful read, released today.

Cute concept. The story was extremely dialogue heavy and didn’t always feel comfortable or natural (which is often what happens when it’s too long). The pacing felt very slow.
5 stars because self-publishing is really hard.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kate Callaghan for the ARC.

I dislike giving bad reviews, however I just did not enjoy this book, it took me months to read as the writing was dull

A truly wonderful Christmas story! Filled with pure magic and makes me want to read more from this author

A fun festive binge read - perfect to get you in the Christmas mood. Loved the cover of this title, it really drew me in.

The cover draws you into this read. It looks like a cozy, fun, fluffy Christmas romance. And that is exactly what this is.
If you like the cheesy hallmark movies, you will like this book.

I thought this was going to be a fun holiday read but honestly I had to skim in some parts. The premise was there, I loved the idea of the north pole and the magic. Mason being next in line for Santa. How fun! Right? Eh... from the beginning I was struggling with the interactions but I wanted to push through and see if it got better. It didn't really improve for me and I wasn't a super big fan of their romance either. I was left feeling pretty disappointed in this slow burn romance. Thanks to NetGalley and to the publisher for this ARC!
