Lost Between Worlds is a sci-fi fantasy book about a guy who accidentally finds a portal to another Earth which has werewolves running around. I found the writing a bit clunky and the characters flat. I am usually a huge portal story fan, but this one did not really work for me. However, the story is pretty unique and a quick read. I think that sci-fi fans will get into it.

I am a big fan of doctor who, quantum leap and sliders, so I thought this book would be somewhat alike that, and at some point it is, I won’t give spoilers, but you do have a threat, you have people mysteriously disappearing and our main character works for someone that is helping in trying to make sense of what happens to the ones that disappear, you want to know the details just grab the book and see for yourself.

What lowered my points was our main character and the way it is written, I was missing some depth, like for me, some things were over done and others underdone, if that makes sense, I don’t want to spoil the story, and I want to leave mystery, but our main character went from Donald duck to cousin Gaston duck in a jiffy and that was a bit off putting for me… I kind of like Donald the best anyway…

But maybe you will love it much more than what I did, it’s not that is bad, is just that it was only OK for me, you do have weird portals that make people disappear, you have people that should have disappeared instead (yes you damn parents and nanny of a ten years old, I am talking of you) and a lot more, you have enemies that will live in your nightmares, and a hero that annoys me, hahah but again, you could swing more to the side of Gaston duck anyway.

Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the free ARC and this is my honest opinion.

I enjoyed this book a lot. It presents the idea of journeying through a portal to an alternate Earth. Bill Black, known as Longshot, finds himself investigating the disappearances of thousands of people and finding himself trying to survive of himself and these others.

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. I chose this book because I love books with portal stories. The author kept me entertained throughout the book . There was only one downside for me. I wish the author could have used some other way for the Wolfman to be more human . I understand why he did. Without spoilers. Overall a good book
