Another fabulous book from my favorite BFF writing tag team~!!
Okay - I loved the characters - mostly... MOG - yeah, that's a hard pass for me!!
I adored the love story - then the battling mamas - then the drama drama drama - and then the happily ever after <3 This was a great quick all in one day book for me - Now I'm tasked with waiting for the next one!! I was provided a digital copy of this FANTASTIC book by Netgalley, Liz Fenton & Lisa Steinke in exchange for an honest review.

Zach and Olivia, both Californians, meet and fall in love during an Italian vacation. Soon after, Zach proposes. As they plan their wedding, they aim to introduce their divorced parents. However, there's a twist: Olivia's mom and Zach's parents share a complicated history, not having spoken for 25 years. Amidst the ensuing chaos, the question arises: Can they set aside their past for their children's happiness? The story, reminiscent of films like "Father of the Bride" and "Monster-in-Law", is an amusing, light-hearted read that shouldn't be taken too seriously. It offers laughs and entertainment, despite its implausible scenarios. All in all, it was a touching tale that even brought a tear to my eye. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

I loved the beginning for Olivia & Zach, but the twist at the meeting of the parents was a bit underwhelming, and the pace was a bit slow after that. After making a muck of things, the moms come together to make things right; cute concept. Things wrapped up fairly nicely. If you like a twisted family drama, you’ll enjoy this book!

Thanks #NetGalley for the ARC

A charming and delightful wedding story. Light, and evenly paced, this was a good book for the beach.
Many thanks to Alcove Press and to Netgalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

This one was just not for me. Terribly cheesy and would never work out. I almost DNFd 3 times but it was easy listening.

When Zach and Olivia meet on vacation and quickly become engaged, some their parents have doubts about their engagement. Doubts which only grow when both sets of parents realize at their engagement brunch that they know one another from the past.

I typically love Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke novels and have read all of their previous work, but I just did not care for Forever Hold Your Peace. I found all of the characters to be at best unsympathetic and at worst absolutely grating and unbearable. Because of that, I found getting through the novel to be a bit of a slog and it took me almost two months to finish it.

It was a interesting premise and as always, Fenton and Steinke's writing is very reader friendly, but this one was just not for me.

Olivia and Zach meet while on vacation in Italy. Olivia is about to start law school and wasn’t planning on falling in love but when Zach sweeps her off her feet, she can’t help but say yes to his proposal. When they return home, Olivia & Zach bring their four parents (all divorced) together for a “get to know you brunch” except it turns out they already know each other and from there everything just gets more complicated.

The impact this surprise engagement and reunion causes for all the characters is nuanced and the authors do a fabulous job of helping us understand their reactions, even if we don’t agree with them. I especially loved the way the mothers competed with each other to plan the “perfect” wedding for their children. It was so relatable and heartbreaking.

FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE is a story about family, friendship and second chances. Oh…and love of course. It’s a laugh out loud funny novel that will also have you reaching for the tissues.

My thanks to Alcove Press for the advance reading copy.

Sadly not for me. I have tried multiple times to read it and never got as far as I wanted to. Maybe at a different time in my life (even though I attempted it at various stages) I would have enjoyed this book more.

It’s certainly not terrible, but it’s not good enough to capture me either. Or I am just not the target demographic.

I don’t feel comfortable giving a one star review since I did not read the whole thing, but I have to give a star rating to publish the review.

If you’re interested in the premise, feel free to give it a try. If you’re like me, you might notice in the first 100 to 150 pages that you’re just not that into it,

Olivia meets Zach while on vacation on the Amalfi coast and after 6 weeks, they get engaged. Zach’s parents Amy and Troy were best friends with June as she was engaged to Troy but Amy became pregnant with Zach and unfortunately June severed both relationships.

Olivia, June’s daughter & Zach, Troy’s son are now engaged to be married making all of them in-laws. The twists and turns in this book have made me laugh & cry. I love all the characters especially Olivia and Zach.

I love Ms. Fenton & Ms. Steinke’s works & I highly recommend

Liz Fenton & Lisa Steinke - Forever Hold Your Peace.

Olivia and Zach have fallen hopelessly, madly and deeply in love. It’s a whirlwind romance, but the pair are smitten and plan to marry.
When they bring their parents together for the first time, it all goes a bit wrong, as it transpires that their mothers, June and Amy, already know each other. And despite once being friends, they haven’t spoken for over 20 years. There seems to be no love lost between the pair.

What happened for June and Amy to fall out so spectacularly all those years ago?
And when all those secrets do come tumbling out. What will that mean for Olivia and Zach?

I loved the premise of this book. The plot sounded intriguing and fun.

Olivia and Zach are clearly so in love and meant to be together. They are very sweet.
Amy and June turn into a proper pair of Mom-Zillas. But ultimately their hearts are in the right place.

I thoroughly enjoyed #ForeverHoldYourPeace. It’s a story that engaged me from the start. It’s warm hearted, funny, emotional, at times sad, but overall a fabulous read.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

With thanks to Netgalley and Alcove Press for a digital arc of this title.

This was different than others written by these others…more of a rom com. Though o was surprised by the change in genre I still enjoyed it.

This was a sweet novel that read really, really quickly. I wanted more in the middle! But I appreciated the stories about forgiveness and friendship.

This started out with a very original story line that captivated my interest. I kept turning the pages until the wedding planning started. At that point, each detail of the wedding was described - I started skimming this part. The relationships during the wedding planned seemed very immature and a bit much for me. I didn't care for the characters lying to each other and expecting forgiveness.

The ending was wrapped up in a perfectly neat bow - not very realistic and disappointing after such a great start.

anything by liz and Lisa is an automatic read for me so I was thrilled to receive this ARC. it was a funny premise mixing bride wars (but with the moms) and lost loves and broken promises. I loved the character development and the light hearted romance, friendship, and second chance romance themes.

Life can be complex and messy sometimes. This is very true for Olivia and Zack. Meeting each other and falling in love in beautiful Italy they return home to share the happy news with their families. What they didn’t know was the drama this would unleash. They didn’t know their parents parents have a complicated history with each other.

Liz Fenton & Lisa Steinke have created a story in the vein of Elin Hilderbrand; rich families, country clubs and mystery. I found it interesting. I wanted to learn the whole story but similarly wanted the book to end.
I would have liked more character development to understand them better.
As usual, I am certain many will really like this book. It is just not for me. Many thanks to NetGalley and Alcove Press for the opportunity to read the ARC.

This was a Hallmark movie love story and I really enjoyed it. There was love, romance, friendship, mother-daughter relationships. It was very sweet. I enjoyed the characters and their stories. I liked the past and present colliding. There were a few moments that dragged on or I wished they were slightly different - maybe less predictable, maybe more exciting - but overall a nice read.

Thank you NetGalley and Alcove Press for the arc.

Thank you to NetGalley and Alcove Press for this e-arc in exchange for my honest review! I really enjoyed this read since it focused on the parents of the newly engaged couple and their past history rather than the younger couple’s love story. Theme of family, healing, moving forward were present as the adults needed to work through their complicated pasts to support their adult children in reaching their happily ever after. Full of comedy, drama, and overall fun, this was a sweet read I enjoyed thoroughly.

After a whirlwind vacation romance, June’s daughter and Amy’s son are engaged. The problem? June and Amy have a very complicated history - involving the father of the groom.

After reading a lot of romances in a row, this was a good change of pace. I liked the audiobook.

Olivia meets Zach on a trip to Italy and they become engaged after knowing each other only a few months. Both their parents are worried they're rushing into and decide to meet for brunch to hopefully convince Olivia and Zach to wait. Olivia's mom June arrives late and finds out that Zach's parents are her ex best friend Amy and ex fiance Troy. Neither Olivia nor Zach knew about their parents connection, but their parent's history threatens to end their engagement. As June and Amy try and work together to help their children plan the wedding, they also have to come to terms with their past history and see if there's any reconciliation to be had. Overall, a story about love and second chances, Though the book starts out with Olivia and Zach's perspective, more of the focus is on the parent's relationship and the effect the past has on them. There's a lot of miscommunication and jumping to conclusions, but most of that is addressed by the end of the book.

What a fun story! I really enjoyed the characters in the story and how they were intertwined. Olivia & Zack met & fell in love in Positano and then came home to California to prep for their quick wedding. When June, Olivia’s Mum, walks into the parents’ brunch & realizes the two people she feels ruined her life at one time are going to be in her family the story just ramped up. The themes of forgiveness and moving forward from the past were so beautifully played out in this book. I thought June & her Mom Elaine making up & talking past their issues was great. June & Amy regained their friendship and June & Troy get to explore what their relationship might look like. I feel like June was the big winner in this story.
The parade scene was one of my favourites and I’m so glad the “we ducked up” group was successful.

Thanks to NetGalley & Alcove Press for a copy of this book in exchange for my review.
