Wasn't for me at all, DNFed the book at 25%. I didn't really understand most of the poems since the language used was really complicated and the poems felt convoluted. There were a few passages that I liked but not nearly en0ugh to keep me reading. I also didn't like the Christian undertone that was quite prominent in all of the poems. Just really not a book for me.

DNF @50%

Not really for me. Sometimes when I’m reading it I can get into it, but then I take a break and it’s really hard to get back in the groove of it again. I guess I like more modern poetry then what this is. It just kinda bored me.

This collection of poetry was an interesting viewpoint of the world. I enjoyed some poems over other ones, but overall, a very interesting collection.

A mix of nature and Christianity and different locations.
Nature/city
Thoughts/actions
Observation/feeling

I couldn't fully connect with some of the poems, although the prose was lovely. Admittedly, some are probably over my head. My favorite poem of this collection is The Meaning of Everything.

This was a poetry collection which comes from a Christian perspective but many of the poems simply had that as an undertone rather than an overt statement which was pleasant - nothing felt too overly preachy but you could definitely see the worldview it was written from. As I quite like subtler nods like this it felt a lot nicer than some things I have read.

I have to say that though some of the poems felt quite meaningful and poignant, the majority for me fell a bit flat and the meaning really did go above my head. As a well-educated person, I believe that I fall within the target demographic of this collection and I still struggled quite a bit. If I am having to search what words mean in order to make sense of a sentence I am probably going to enjoy the experience less ...

I was provided with a complimentary copy of this collection via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review, which I leave voluntarily.

I really hoped to like the poetry anthology but I could not get into it. The language is sometimes clunky and could have been better refined and reworked.

I’ve been trying to read more poetry, and this was a lovely collection!! I loved how Dinsell contrasted sharp, clunky images of today’s world with the vast magnificence of God & thinking about God.

This was something different than what I'm used to. I love poetry, but still rarely read it which is bad😩
This collection left me speechless. It went through very important things in our current world and questioned it at the same time.
Some of the poems I could really feel and was almost crying at some parts.
I honestly have no words, just go read this amazing collection of poems!!

Thank you NetGalley for the chance to read and review this book.

By the time I got around to reading this the book was available on Kindle Unlimited, so I went ahead and checked it out. While the writer has some potential, as a whole I wasn't a fan of the collection; I found it boring. In addition, the sentence "To vivify this riven orb" really annoyed me and I wasn't going to continue reading the book after that.
