Sabrina is not your typical lady! She's feisty and quick-witted, exactly what Derrik and his daughters needed! I loved that she could escape what would have been a horrible life and found her happily ever after. Well written, and delightful read!

It was a quick read, nice enough and entertains at times, but felt quite short.

Sabrina is engaged to Albert, not a love match, but being in the same social circle and wealth, is a good arrangement. Due to chance, she discovers his evil plan and is immediately sent to Denver by her parents in order to break the engagement and avoid a forced match with him.
During the train travel, she discovers that she is being followed and found in Derrick’s mistake the perfect hiding position, as his governess.

The plot is very interesting and with more development would have been great. There was no time to deepen in the characters.
The interactions between Sabrina and the girls is funny and I enjoyed them very much, but the romance with Derrick felt rushed.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A fun cast of characters. You will love the people. In this book .. wait! I am not going to spoil it. Read the series and enjoy! I recommend.

This book sounded intriguing, but fell a little short. There was no character development. A lot of the characters had similar names, so without much background it was hard to keep them straight. The author also kept switching from calling the character 'mother' to calling her 'Buddough' in the next paragraph. I did not feel any relationship between Sabrina and Derrick, and her proposal was basically 'I have all this money and I love you, marry me'
The train... on the train it seemed like a lot of time was on their but the wrong tenses were used or the timeline was not reflected well. Also there were questions that were not answered. Like did the maid push Miss Vernon? Why was Miss Vernon trying to get off before her stop?
There was only one instance of the teaching being a spot of contention and Derrick leaving? He was gone for a paragraph. It was only mentioned once, almost like he never left. I wouldn't even point it out but its in the description of the book.

The book has promise, but it needs more.

I received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review.

Quirky fun characters…historical fiction that reads like nonfiction at times. I had a problem with the names of the characters. Other than that, this was a quick read. This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review. Enjpy
