ARRRGHHHHHH! Yeah that!!
I love Joshilyn Jackson books - they're all a touch psycho and set in the south, which I love. This one - totally left me hanging!!! I had too many questions at the end!

Like, where did this nut job stalker come from? What happened after Cooper splatted? Exactly HOW did Cooper Splat? What happened after the stalker was apprehended? What happened with Cal? Come on - you can't take us up that freaking roller coaster and just leave us hanging?? Too much left unsaid :(

Thanks to Netgalley and Joshilyn Jackson for a ARC of With My Little Eye in exchange for an honest review.

"With My Little Eye" by Joshilyn Jackson is a captivating and emotionally resonant novel that skillfully weaves together elements of mystery, suspense, and family drama. Set against the backdrop of a small Southern town, Jackson delivers a story that is both compelling and thought-provoking.

At the heart of the novel is the character of Grayson Hernandez, a talented young artist who finds herself drawn into a web of secrets and deception when she discovers a hidden camera in her Airbnb rental. As Grayson delves deeper into the mystery, she uncovers long-buried truths about her own family and the town she thought she knew.

One of the most compelling aspects of "With My Little Eye" is Jackson's expertly crafted characters. From the complex and conflicted Grayson to the colorful residents of the town, every character feels fully realized and three-dimensional, adding depth and richness to the story.

Jackson's prose is sharp and evocative, drawing readers into the world of the novel with its vivid descriptions and lyrical language. The dialogue crackles with authenticity, bringing the characters to life and adding depth to their relationships.

The mystery at the heart of the novel is expertly plotted, with plenty of twists and turns to keep readers guessing until the very end. Jackson skillfully ramps up the tension with each chapter, creating a sense of urgency that will keep you turning pages late into the night.

In addition to its gripping plot, "With My Little Eye" also explores deeper themes of family, identity, and the power of secrets. Through Grayson's journey, Jackson examines the ways in which the past shapes the present and the lengths people will go to protect the ones they love.

Overall, "With My Little Eye" is a compelling and thought-provoking read that will appeal to fans of mystery and family drama alike. Joshilyn Jackson has crafted a novel that is both thrilling and emotionally resonant, leaving a lasting impression long after the final page is turned.

I have loved other Joshilyn Jackson books, but this wasn’t a favorite. , an actress being stalked, says she never thought she was "famous enough to get murdered." The whole time it felt as if she was excited to be stalked. She even hopes it’s her ex husband, whom SHE is actually stalking while being stalked.
Not enough character development, and the development there is is annoying.

2 stars!

This book really had me thinking why are you acting this way?? Every character's actions were just so confusing and dumb that it really detracted from my enjoyment of this book. I also felt like there were so many storylines going on and it wasn't clear whose POV we were in that it made things even more confusing. I think unfortunately the book and the writing was not for me.

Maribel Mills is an actress who has many fans, and one has some very disturbing desires. As her stalker gets more aggressive, Maribel decides to mover back home to GA with her autistic daughter. She has a couple of good weeks before the letters start to arrive again.

I enjoyed this book, told from multiple POV. The author does a good job introducing new characters who could be out to hurt Maribel and her daughter, but are any of them Marker Man?

Thank you to NetGalley, William Morrow Books and Joshilyn Jackson for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I have enjoyed almost every one of Joshilyn Jackson's thrillers, but "With My Little Eye" was more the exception and not the rule. Forest the characters were really unrealistic which made it very difficult for me to relate and/or care about what happened with any of them. The book dragged (again definitely not typical of this authors other thrillers) and there was so much switching from one character's point of view to another's that it got confusing and detracted from the overall plot. Overall not a terrible book, but not up to par with what I expected.

I used to enjoy Joshilyn Jackson books, but this one did not hit the mark for me. The story was good, but I didn't enjoy reading it.

Meh… it was okay. It was good and not bad.

I found myself border at times. When the story started coming together at the end, I had some more questions. Then the ending just ended. So I was left with those questions.

This book is described as a hair-raising story, but I thought it was far from that. Super slow and felt like there was not a plot. Very unlikeable characters and too many povs which made it hard to follow. I really had high hopes for this one and with the description sounded intriguing with the whole premise about an actress outrunning her stalker, but I felt it missed the mark. Thank you Netgalley & William Morrow for this ARC is exchange for an honest review.

Meh! I found this one to be too long, too slow, it had too many POV, and what an unsatisfying ending. I didn't hate it, but I didn't really enjoy it either. I just wanted to be done, which is never a good sign.

For actress Meribel Mills, disturbing fan mail is part of the price of fame. So when she starts getting creepy letters written in fruit-scented marker she is mostly unphased and diligently files them along with her other messages from unhinged fans. After all, she’s a single mom approaching forty, not the kind of hot young celeb who sparks dangerous obsessions. But there’s something different about Marker Man… He’s been in her home… Meribel’s sheets smell of unfamiliar cologne, and objects have gone missing around the house. Plus, the letters have become more perverse, with drawings of a naked Meribel tied up or chopped into pieces. While the police insist that stalkers hardly ever escalate to violence, Meribel has played the dead girl one too many times on TV to risk becoming her in real life. She and her daughter move from Los Angeles to Atlanta for a fresh start—but no distance is great enough. He’s watching her…

I loved the stalker story and the book cover is stunning! The characters weren't my favorite but that worked well for the book.

enjoyed the stalker theme and the realistic thoughts and actions of Meribel's autistic daughter, Honor. However, I was very disappointed in the abrupt ending. This book would get five stars if it tied up the loose ends with an epilogue

I really enjoyed this book! It had some twists and turns that I did not see coming! Books that make me want to stay up past midnight reading are the best and this one definitely fit in that category. Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this book! I will certainly recommend it to all of my reading friends!

I typically enjoy Joshilyn Jackson's thrillers, but "With My Little Eye" just didn't do it for me. The characters were boring and unrealistic, and the constant switching of the points-of-view didn't do much for the plot.

I was sadly disappointed in this thriller/domestic drama. I expected more out of it. Did I love it? No. Did I hate it? Also no, but I also did not really like it either. It was okay. I just wanted a lot more. It was really slow, for a thriller, and when the big reveal happened, I was like, "Oh, is that it?"

Meribel & 12 year old Honor move from California to Georgia to escape her stalker.
Cam provided security and some loving when they lived in LA.
Cooper is her new neighbor in GA.
We hear from the stalker and a homeless girl as well, which makes for a lot to follow along with.

The characters were all unlikable, except Honor. I do not have experience with autism first hand, but I felt that Honor was perfectly written. And I thought Meribel was a great mom to her.

Ugh with Meribel though. Not only is she being stalked, but she's stalking her ex-husband. I believe they've been divorced for an awfully long time, too, like 20 years I think, and that she thinks he might be her stalker is a bit absurd. And when the action really happens towards the end I just couldn't believe the decision she made, like really it made zero sense. There were plenty of other options she had. And really with who the Marker Man was, lame.

Overall, I was not in love with this one. There were too many unnecessary subplots and POV's going on. I have liked this author in the past so I'll give her another whirl.

Slow burn mystery that really picked up speed. It was the first resd for me from this author and I really enjoyed the characters even though most were unlikable
