I was beyond excited to be approved for this book by NetGalley as Joshilyn Jackson is one of my favorite authors and I am very happy to report that this book did not disappoint. In fact, this may be her best book in awhile. While I greatly enjoyed Jackson's past two books there was just something missing for me but that was not the case with this one. I was immediately drawn into the world of Meribel and Honor and cared for them. I physically felt anxious while reading parts of the book as Meribel's stalker pursued her.

Joshilyn Jackson does her best work when she combines mystery with family dynamics and once again she hits it out of the park with With My Little Eye.

I was given this book by NetGalley for an honest review-
I have read every one of Jackson’s books and here she comes again with a page turner!
Meribel, an actress with a young child moves across the country to escape a stalker, She has received numerous letters as an actress but none like this with creepy letters made with fruit scented markers, and disturbing pictures. So—— why does she feel like she is being watched? Has her stalker found her?
Somehow, someway she must keep her daughter and herself safe!

Seeing great reviews of this book I was excited to get an advanced copy thanks to #netgalley and the publishers. Meribel Mills is an actress that is forced to move across the country because of a stalker. She breaks up with her boyfriend and moves her daughter to Atlanta, where she hopes she can live a normal life. But when she starts feeling someone watching her and the crazed letters start appearing at her door again she knows she hasn’t escaped.

This book had the perfect blend of action and drama that kept me reading page after page. I love the character of her daughter, who the author did an amazing job of portraying what someone with autism goes through. There was a twist in the book that was unexpected and made the story that much better.

Thank you to the publishers and to Netgalley for allowing me to read this advanced copy.

I really liked this one but I was left feeling like it wasn't complete. It needs an epilogue at the least to wrap the subplots up. I loved Meribel and her daughter, Honor. They were highly likeable and I would love to see Honor having her own story in the future. She was truly the star of this. The story was so engrossing and I devoured it, losing many hours of sleep but it was well worth it. That being said, I give this a solid Four Stars even with the abrupt ending.

Thank you Netgalley and William Morrow for this ARC.

Thank you for the opportunity to preview With My Little Eye.
Jocelyn Jackson is a writer that captures a woman’s POV
Meribel is a B actress from TV shows. She has an autistic daughter and oh yea a stalker that is following her across the United States.
Meribel moves to her childhood state, Georgia, where she hopes to start again but soon the Stalker she and her daughter have named Marker Man finds them.
But there are people in Meribels life that have a sketchy background and any of them could be Marker Man. This includes and ex hubby, new beau, and an over friendly neighbor.
Meribel can’t find safety but hopes she will when she moves back home. But…soon she knows HE has found her again and this time he sounds like he will do more than stalk.
Good book. Could have a sequel
3.5 stats

This was a strange book to read. I enjoyed bits of it but also got bored at other points. I liked the daughter’s character the most but not so much the mom. There is a stalker theme and it wasn’t scary to me. I hoped for more from Jackson!

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. Three stars.

Just finished With My Little Eye. I read this thriller in one day. Reading about stalkers is always disturbing and this author got it right. There were several red herrings that kept me guessing almost until the end. The first person account of the victim’s autistic teenage daughter was portrayed realistically. It was a bit hard to keep track of so many characters, so I kept going back and forth on my kindle. Read this book when you’re not too sleepy and you will enjoy it.

I’m definitely in the minority with my 2 star rating but this story fell flat for me and I could not connect with any of the characters. DNF at 30%. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this early release in exchange for my review.

Thanks to Netgalley, Joshilyn Jackson and the publisher for my e-ARC. Being approved by Netgalley is like winning the lottery.

I love Joshilyn Jackson's books. They're always full of twists and suspense to keep you guessing.

This is one of my favorites of hers so far. I love the stalker plot line and was thoroughly surprised when I found out who the stalker actually was. As usual, I thought I knew and that the twists wouldn't surprise me, but they did.

There's another villain in this book aside from Marker Man, Meribel's stalker. I never would've guessed it or the terrible things said villain did, so that was a fun little addition to the evil stalker plot.

Great plot, very likeable characters (the good guys, at least), and loss of sleep on my end bc I needed to know the ending.

Lots of twists and turns had me guessing throughout. I thought had it figured out several times and then would totally change my mind. Seemed to get a little drawn out at the end but overall good thriller.

Rating (4/5) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you Netgalley and William Morrow publishing for this arc copy. This is the first book I’ve read by Joshilyn Jackson. It definitely won’t be the last.
With My Little Eye is the story of Meribel and her daughter Honor who just moved across the country to escape Meribel’s stalker. This one was a twisty fast - paced read that kept me entertained! Highly recommend this one!

From the New York Times bestselling author of Never Have I Ever comes the hair-raising story of a mother who moves herself and her daughter across the country to lose a dangerous stalker—only to discover that it will take more than distance to escape him.

HIS GAME.

HIS RULES.

HER LIFE.

It started with the letters…

He’s been in her home…

He’s watching her…

If he can’t have her, no one can.

This book was so entertaining! I loved the story of Meribel and how she handled her stalker. If I had a stalker I’m not sure I would uproot my whole life and move across the country – only to find out it didn’t work! This one was a fast-paced ride of a thriller. Make sure to check your trigger warnings on this one as there are some scenes that are not for the faint of heart. I will say that the ending on this one did feel abrupt and let me down. It just wasn’t satisfying for me. I did enjoy reading about Meribel’s daughter with autism. I think that the author did a wonderfully fantastic job at portraying it in a tasteful and accurate way!

If you’re looking for a fun, keep-you-guessing thriller than check this one April 25th.

I really enjoyed this book! The story of a woman running cross country from her stalker was sooo good and there were so many suspects. I would have given it 5 stars but it just ends all of a sudden- there's no end to the story. We have no idea how the story ends. If it was a paper book, I'd assume someone tore out the final chapter. That's very disappointing!
Add a chapter and it's a 5!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Wow! Joshilyn Jackson delivers yet again! Top of the line story telling. This was so easy to get totally invested in. Lots of tension and twists as well as wonderful characters. Really enjoyed it.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book

Well, that was a wild ride! This psych thriller kept me guessing throughout. I loved the character of Honor. Although the twists were unexpected, a couple were a bit far-fetched and the ending seemed a bit rushed after a lot of built up intrigue. I enjoyed it for overall.

Thank you very much to NetGalley and William Morrow for the advanced reader’s copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Oh how I wanted to love this. I love a good stalker thriller and that part was great but the rest is the book was kind of silly. The multiple men vying for her attention and the dropped bowling ball ending lacked finesse. I'm not sorry I read it but I'm not thrilled by it either

Overview: Terrorized by a stalker who sends her creepy fruit-scented messages, Meribel moves back to Atlanta from LA to escape. When the letters appear at her new home thanks to a neighbor's thoughtless doxxing, Meribel must find a way to keep her and her daughter safe.

What I loved about this book:

I liked Cooper a lot, in the beginning. <spoiler>And then, uh... we found out some stuff.</spoiler>

Honor. This kid is awesome and I love her to death. She needs more stories. I'm not sure how representative she is of a kid with autism but I loved seeing her growth, her blooming friendships, even if they were a little strange. I think she's a little super hero.

I really liked Cam in the ending. I thought his last scene in the story held some incredibly thoughtful and caring actions. He was enough of a good guy anyways, but that last scene was really heartwarming.

I will say, Meribel's ending scene was fantastic - smart, well played, well executed, and ultimately a huge redeeming scene for a character that I felt was otherwise a little lacking. <spoiler>And we will not mention the myrid of choices she had other than 1) going with Marker Man or 2) going into her home. Maybe freeze, like she was saying her auto response was? Go into the cafe? Give the teenagers <b>a look</b> before driving off? </spoiler>

What I didn't love about this book:

I feel like the real story - Honor's story - was totally obscured by Meribel's pattering about. Meribel didn't really do much aside from playing catty with the woman down the hall, stalking her ex's insta (James felt like a really flat red herring that just added one too many men to keep track of), and just... hang out, waiting to be murdered. And this whole, like, wishing her stalker was her ex but secretly harboring feelings for him felt really odd. I found her character a little flat and just couldn't identify with her or understand her.

Honor, however - oh man, this kid. I would have gladly read endless chapters about her and her new friends diving way deeper into this mystery of who the man upstairs is. I would have gladly read chapter upon chapter of Maxene slowly teasing out her story, ending with a "and that's why I'm here to kill him."

<spoiler>I also kind of expected Cooper and Marker Man to be related somehow... so when we got to the ending I was waiting for a big punch that never came. Just two creepy guys who... happen upon the same family.</spoiler>

Overall:

Meribel was super meh but I'm in love with Honor. The book was pretty well-paced, with a few too many love or pseudo love interests. I would pick up another book by this author.

Thanks to William Morrow & Netgalley for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first Joshilyn Jackson read and I was excited! This thriller had some unexpected twists for sure! I can usually see them coming, but I was honestly surprised by this one. I really don't want to give anything away. This is not your typical "famous woman vs stalker" storyline. I enjoyed the surprise subplots. You just can't trust (almost) anyone.I enjoyed the multiple perspectives in this story, as well. I highly recommend this thriller.

Thank you to William Morrow and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this arc

This book was high on my TRB 2023 list because I loved her other two thrillers (Never Have I Ever and Mother May I), but this one fell flat. The ending felt very rushed and the final reveal of the “Marker Man” didn’t even really make sense. This book could also have benefited from an Epilogue as well. I really wanted to know what happened between the MC and her love interest. While I thought the subplots and mysteries were interesting, I felt like they took away from the main plot.

Thank you for the ARC.

Big thank you to Netgalley and William Morrow for a chance to read this ARC! This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and it did not disappoint! 4.5 stars, rounded up. If it wasn't for having 2 young children, I could have binged this all in one day! The storyline was engaging and tense in the best way. As the sister of a brother with autism, I absolutely loved how Honor was portrayed as imperfect but also quirky, capable and loving. My main criticism is that it ended so abruptly. I would have REALLY liked a wrap-up chapter bringing some closure to all of the characters storylines. Highly recommend giving this a shot!
