Come What Maybe is book 1 in the Seaside Cove Series by Kerri Carpenter
And I can't express enough how excited I am to see that this is part of an amazing series.
My first time reading Carpenter's work which was a very easy story to get so lost in.
The writing was great. She kept me turning the pages all day.
I thought the story was realistic and fun. The small town romance is always a favorite of mine and I believe this author set the scene perfectly.
The characters grew on me and pulled me into their world immediately.
I will definitely be waiting for the second book in the series. Can't wait!

This was a quick read to me. If you enjoy small town romances, enemies to lovers- you will enjoy this book. No spice, but overall cute and fun read.

Lauren and Ethan had always had a kind of push-pull relationship, where they were fighting one second and agreeing the next. They have also had a crush on each other, but never expressed. So when they meet after many years, a couple of drinks together lead to a night together, and an unexpected pregnancy.
They are complete opposites but together they make sense, balance each other out. It was a quick read with some funny, cute and swoon worthy moments. I loved the bond between the 3 sisters, and Lauren’s gram is not the conventional grandma but I just loved her character. I hope we get to read the sisters HEA also.

ARC REVIEW
Come What Maybe by Kerri Carpenter
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A small town romance with some unexpected connections.

❤️ Lauren comes back to the small coastal Maine town she grew up in to help younger sister Gabby through some tough times. What she didn’t expect was to hook up with high school frenemy Ethan her first night home. And oh yeah, now she’s pregnant.

❤️ This was my first unexpected pregnancy book and I liked it. Lauren is super independent so her situation brings her a lot of anxiety. Some of her actions did annoy me at times BUT Ethan made up for it all. I adored him. He is her exact opposite, carefree and live in the moment type. But, watching them come into their feelings for each other was great.
This is the first in a series that I’m looking forward to continuing. I liked all three sister (Lauren, Brooke, and Gabby) along with their meddling grandmother and the quirky small town.

All in all, I really enjoyed this quick read! Perfect for fans of small town romances with no spice.

Thank you to the author and publisher for the ARC book in exchange for an honest review.

A beautiful read. Loved the mc's and their romance journey that progressed throughout the book. I loved grams and her no nonsense personality. (Love characters like that.) Overall I enjoyed this novel.

Sweet romance in a seaside town. The story is about 3 sisters raised by their grandmother who gather back to their childhood home in order to help the youngest sister thru a career crisis. Lauren, Brooke and Gabby have their different strengths and quirks, and are a great support to each other. Lauren spends an unprecedented wild night with a secret crush from high school, with consequences that change her life. The story is a portrait of how a family should pull together when in need, and one of love winning out in the end. It was a sweet and hopeful read, and it set the stage for both sisters and even Grams to have a happy ending of their own in subsequent books.

An oopsie kind of read that I thoroughly enjoyed!
Ethan and Lauren were a cute couple that I very much enjoyed in getting to know.
Ethan and Lauren's journey had me in awe the entire time. They absolutely tickled me pink at times!
I even loved Grams. Just simply because of her no nonsense personality. Sometimes I found myself shaking my head at her logic though.
In my opinion, I think this is a fast paced novel that you won't want to put down!
5 stars for a well written book. I highly recommend!
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Social media strategist Lauren Wallace plans everything. But when she returns to the charming—if not too small for comfort—town of Seaside Cove, it’s only about a second before her tough-love Grams is already on her case. So when Grams tells her not to go to that bar, Lauren decides it’s time for a temporary rebellion. Which is exactly when the trouble starts.

Grams was right. The bar was not a good plan. Because suddenly super-cute bar owner Ethan McAllister has gone from being Lauren’s (kind of) high school nemesis to a very unexpected one-night stand. And worse, Lauren’s attempts to resume her ultra-responsible life keep getting thwarted by more unwelcome spontaneity. And a pregnancy.

Now there’s a baby on the way, Lauren’s the talk of the entire town, and all her planning has gone right out the window. All that’s missing is childbirth to make her pain complete. But it’ll be nothing compared to Grams’s reaction when she finds out that Lauren broke the biggest rule of all…falling for the wrong guy.

This was your typical opposites attract and make a surprise, unplanned, baby trope, which is one of my favourite to read. The plot was simple to follow and the characters worked well together. A fun way to wile away 90 minutes in the sun.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

This is your typical small town romance. She returns home to help her younger sister out her life together and she's extremally organized. He's more of live in the moment. The two conflict but manage to make a baby. 2.75 stars.
