A really solid werewolf shifter/thriller/action-packed romance. Had enough suspense and plot twists to keep you guessing. I really liked the SWAT aspect and the paranormal spin.

My one gripe? The romance was a little 2D (but that could be on me for not having read any of the previous titles). I just struggled because the characters had already had their first meeting and we dive in straight to fated mates.

In saying that, Loving the Wolf can be read as a stand-alone. There is enough backstory and explanation to get you fully immersed into the ride. I hadn’t read any other installment but I’ll be heading back through the rest of the titles ☺️

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the chance to read and review.

I love fated mates and shifter romances and whilst I loved the basic premise and action part of this book the romance felt a little flat to me I think in part due to the fact that the initial 1st meeting between Jenna and Trevor doesn't happen in this book. (Haven't read the previous book so I don't know if it happens there) For me that first "I think their The One" meeting helps set up the chemistry between the characters. It didn't make the relationship completely unbelievable but it did kind of let down the fated mates part for me but this is entirely my preference for this trope.

I still loved Jenna and Trevor though, especially Jenna for carrying on despite how her parents and brother have treated her and Trevor for going against her brother.

Jenna is a special effects person for a movie company in Los Angeles. Her brother, Connor, is on a SWAT team in Dallas and when she goes to see him, she meets Trevor. Trevor is a member of the SWAT team, a werewolf, and buddies with Connor. He knows Jenna is THE ONE, his soul mate. Jenna invites Trevor out to Los Angeles to visit but come face to face with a creature that he's never seen before. Between this new threat and Connor not wanting Trevor around his sister, its a tough go for Trevor and Jenna. When Jenna gets taken, Trevor will stop at nothing to get the one he loves back.

Action. Suspense. Sexy times. A werewolf and a human. Excellent story. I read this in one day, it keeps you hooked from the first page.

LOVED this book!!!! Actually, I love this whole series. In this novel, Trevor risks his pack mate's wrath when he pursues Jenna, his pack mate's sister. Both Jenna and Trevor are smitten, but Trevor is keeping a big secret. When creatures of the underworld kidnap and attack people, Trevor calls his pack mates for help. What follows is a very crazy and creative tale that pits them in a fight they can't win.

I loved the characters, especially Jenna, who found a creative way to deal with the trauma in her life. Trevor is the (almost) perfect sexy wolf and I loved the way they interacted together and how Jenna found the strength to face her fears.

This series is a must read and fans of the genre will love it. It's a stand alone novel, however its so good that you really owe it to yourself to read them all. The author is on my must read authors' list.

There is no way I won’t be reading more from this series. I’m so happy to have found this new sci-fi/fantasy action-packed romance.

Honestly, I’ve always been kind of obsessed with werewolves and shape-shifters since I started reading books. Sci-fi & fantasy is one of my favorite genres and I’m always looking for new novels, mainly with wolves. I had never heard of this series before and I’m really glad I requested this book to review.
Loving the Wolf is the 14th book in the SWAT series and I was a little afraid of going into it without reading the previous installments. However, it was easy to pick up on all the information needed to enjoy this story and everything that came with it. I would have like a little extra background on some of the stuff, but I can totally understand that after 13 other books, it would be a little redundant to explain most things.
This story was fun and enthralling, I was hooked from the very beginning. I love how much action and adventure there was, mostly because it felt real and believable. There wasn’t a time that I was doubting how things were happening, I felt completely immersed in the universe the whole time. The plot behind the story was entertaining and got me to read the book in just a few hours.
Both main characters were engaging and easy to connect to. I was intrigued by the hero’s background and the rest of his story. Trevor was so cute and totally book boyfriend worth it. I confess that I was in love with him from the first pages. The way he understood and treated the heroine was amazing. Jenna had a difficult backstory and didn’t trust very easily, but with him everything seemed to happen so naturally. I really enjoyed how their romance turned out.
The soulmate aspect were front and center of this book. The hero suspect from the begging that she was The One and she also felt captivated by him, even if she didn’t really understand why. Despite their initial connection, they took their time getting to know each other before they really got together. It wasn’t a full slow-burn, but it also wasn’t totally insta-love. It was a very nice middle ground, with their relationship developing in a lovely way.
It was my first book from Paige Tyler and I’m so glad I found this new-to-me author. It’s not easy to find well written books with werewolves and lots of action, like this one. As I said before, I will absolutely be reading the previous installments in this series. I was totally hooked by this different universe and how the werewolves came to be. It was a new and irresistible concept for me. I will be looking forward to reading more from this author as soon as I can.

This book picks up a few weeks after the last. We have Jenna and Trevor's romance, along with rescuing her sister Hannah and fighting fast, impenetrable creatures of the underground. We have some of our SWAT favorites and new characters. I hope Madeline is given a chance at love and we revisit the LA crew again.
