A beautiful way to help littles understand who God is and the great love he has for his children and all of his creations. My 20 month old loved the colorful pictures, often pointing to ask what something was (very common in our house to hear “what’s that”). A great first book to introduce God.

I believe this a book that says a lot about our thanksgiving to the one who creates us. There was so nice words chose to form a poetry on the kindness of God. Most appreciable thing I liked about it, is the choice of animals by author-artist duo. Because, whenever I read anything on this topic and it contains human forms I always tend to think about, are we all that good to deserve Gods' grace and their kindness? But animals, they are true to their form for how they have been made by the almighty.

This is a very good picture book with thought so nice. Illustrations were so much soothing and affectionate.

A very sweet book about the kindness of God and how “we” the reader and the children have a big heart full of kindness for everyone and everything around.

This is a beautifully illustrated book and the text is easy to understand and leaves you feeling calm and serene.

Thank you NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Kids for this ARC of GOD IS KIND by Jamie Calloway- Hanauer, pictures by Patrick Brooks.

God is Kind by Jamie Calloway-Hanauer that teaches young children about God's Kindness and Love. It is beautifully written and illustrated. I love how the book teaches that we can talk to God about anything. but that we can also show the love and kindness of God to others. This book would be perfect for any reading setting and or Christian education setting. I highly recommend this book. Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book. My review is also on Goodreads.

This is one of the sweetest books I have read to my child in a long time. I am in love with this book. When it is released I will be purchasing it not only for my child, but for all friends that are expecting. I see this book being an instant classic along with the likes of Goodnight Moon. It is absolutely beautiful from the story to the pictures.

What a beautiful book by Jamie Calloway - Hanauer, illustrated by Patrick Brooks. This board book is published by SOUCEBOOKS Kids. I received an advanced reader's copy through NetGalley and this is my unsolicited opinion.
The subtly rhyming text tells that God is kind and loving. The author tells a child that he or she can be kind and loving too. The wonderful illustrations are of animals who are showing kindness to one another by sharing, hugging and sweet facial expressions. For example, there is a picture of a squirrel offering a bird a seed while she is sitting on her nest, another of two bunnies sharing a strawberry. One picture of white doves flying with a pastel rainbow in the background is a beautiful artwork in my opinion.
I think this is a lovely book to share with a little one. It would make a sweet gift for a young child or a shower gift for mommy-to-be.

God is Kind; indeed so true. This was a short, quick read that is a great reminder to children. I liked the way the author spaced out the children’s book as well; showing how God’s kindness is shown, ways kindness is shown that are relatable to a child (through examples), and then tells how to be kind as well. 5 out of 5

This book had great theology at a digestible level for kids! The illustrations were lovely, I especially liked the camels and the stars, the fireflies, and the bunny with the strawberries! The detail was beautiful and the pages were laid out well! I would absolutely gift this book to new parents!

This is such a sweet idea for a children's book. The artwork was beautiful, and I enjoyed how it incorporated nature into the story. I appreciated the message of being kind to others because God was kind towards us, and it's always important to remind children of that.

I have biblical concerns in the way it was written, however. One line, in particular, felt like it could have been insinuating panentheism. The line in question is on page 17 and says, "His kindness is found in all people and things..." I could be wrong, but to me it felt like this line could have been suggesting that God is in all things in the universe. Biblically, this view is incorrect, and I would caution parents who want to be biblically accurate.

Despite biblical concerns, this is a cute book for kids.

What an absolutely beautiful book! My children loved the sweet reminders for why God is so kind and loves us so much. The illustrations are gorgeous and make you want to stay on each page and just enjoy the beauty. I will be gifting this book once it hits stores to all my friends kids and we will be adding to our bookshelf as well!

We know God's kindness is never too far, and we know that he loves us, just as we are.

A sweet book on the kindness of God. A beautiful illustrated book that inspires the kindness of God and how we can share it. It is in God's creation where we find kindness and in that kindness we have hope.

A special thank you to Sourcebook Kids and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review

I loved the cover of this book but unfortunately it didn't make its way into the book although the characters do appear in the story later on.

First I will admit that I actually had far different expectations about what this book would be about on God's kindness but I cannot say that I am disappointed. God Is Kind explores the various elements that young readers will find out about kindness and some of the actions that they may be able to partake in to help share that kindness that comes from God. Although the concept in total may be confusing to young readers I feel that if an adult reads this book along with them it may lead to conversations that could help young readers to understand this wide concept.

The actual text itself is a non-rhyming poem of four sentences that are composed of easy words that help to caption the illustrations on the page..

One thing that is bothering me about the book, though, is the fact that the author chose not to properly capitalize God's pronouns thus providing Him with the reverence that He is accorded.

Otherwise the most enjoyable part about this book are the illustrations. Brightly colored, detailed and full of adorable animals that seem so cuddly. Even if the book may be over a young reader's head they will most definitely enjoy this book as a picture book

**I received a free copy of this book through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.**

This board book has sweet, softly colored illustrations and rhyming text. The cute animal characters and gentle, lilting words celebrate the beauty of God's goodness and how we can display God's character by being kind to others. This is a simple, brief book for babies and toddlers, and it is very sweet and reassuring.

I love that there is a book that celebrates the blessing and kindness all around us! We definitely need a lot more of both in the world today. This is such an important read for kids to learn to that God is ever-present in our lives. I love that it also will engage kids to get out in nature and enjoy the outdoors. The artwork/illustrations throughout are amazing!!

I have a 1 year old girl and 8 year old boy. I read them this book and they were smiling by the time I completed it. The feeling of being loved and sharing that love is understood by my son and I am super glad to have read this book.

This sweet little picture book shows how God’s kindness is all around us and how God shows us His love, watching and guiding us from above. It clearly conveys the central theme through bright and colorful illustrations of nature and animals (I loved the embracing giraffes and the bunnies sharing a strawberry!) It also suggests ways to show God’s love through kindness to others.

Lavishly illustrated with simple rhyming text, God is Kind is sure to appeal to its target audience of babies and toddlers ages 0 to three. The gentle and much-needed reminder of God’s eternal and ever-present kindness and how to share it with others is a great read aloud for little’uns and those who love them. Delightful!

Sweet, rhyming story for children 0 to 3 years of age. The illustrations are pretty.

Given the targeted age, I would say the message is for the reader, be kind.

I would gift this.

FYI: I had the Kindle version. At the conclusion I immediately thought coffee table book; it would be worth looking into.
