I thought I reviewed this before but it's still on my list so I guess I didn't. I thought the premise of the book sounded good but it didn't keep my interest.

A spicy novel that shines among spicy novels. Thank you for getting me out of my slump! Will definitely read more by this author.

This was a super fun who-done-it set in the ole' wild west. This is a magical realism world though that involves the paranormal. I loved that both the MMC and FMC had impressive psychic abilities that are foils and unique qualities they can bond over. There was some spicy spicy scenes that made up for the slight- insta love feel. I also enjoyed the murder mystery - do not want to spoil it- but I did not see the ending coming!

It was certainly pretty haunting and the unnerving side of it was pretty cool! The plot, without the romance, was the highlight for me since the romance didn’t really stick as much to me compared to other books. All the ghost and killer stuff and the special powers the characters involved had made me curious and gripped me as I read. I’d give this book a 3.5 star if I could on NetGalley and Goodreads. :)

Honestly, this story felt all over the place for me - the only thing keeping me interested and enjoying was the chemistry and tension between the characters. That was written really well - everything else felt kind of flat to me.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and realized after downloading that I had already read it years ago. I love books by Marie Harte and this book is another good one. I haven't read the first in the series, but this book does stand alone. Noah and Lara are great characters and I really enjoyed it. 4 stars.

RetroCog was wonderfully written, it was a great addition to the PowerUp! Series series. It had a great mystery setting and did what I was hoping for, the plot does a good job in telling the story. I was invested in the characters and getting through this world. I look forward to read more in this series.
