I love this entire series.
I couldn’t wait to see how Caleb was going to step into Layla’s sight. I loved that he kept ordering cakes from her and she was clueless that he wanted her.
Both of them have been hurt and this iteration of a “fake relationship/ teach me how to day trope. And it worked beautifully.
I loved every part of this book. So many elements of found family & small town & falling in an unexpected way. It’s a slow burn but so worth it.
I will read any book this author wants to give me.

Story: 3.5 ⭐️
Steam: 3 🔥
Audio: 3 🎧

This was my first book by this author. I keep seeing their adorable covers and had to try one! Even though I started on book 3 in this series, it didn’t feel like I was missing much and I’d say it can definitely be read as a standalone.

This book was very cute and sweet. If you like quirky cute heroines and cinnamon roll, puppy dog eyed heroes, this is the one for you! I liked it but also at times it felt a bit too cheesy and cute. The slow burn at time felt too slow. I would not recommend going from dark romance to this, it was too abrupt of a change 😂

Audiobook Performance: I feel lukewarm about this audiobook. The narrators weren’t bad necessarily, they’re just not my favorite.

This is everything I love in an entertaining and captivating rom-com. Layla is quirky and unsure of herself dreaming of finding that special someone. Caleb is the regular customer to her bake shop who can’t get enough of her butter croissants or her. Together they embark on a dating arrangement to learn more about why each of them hasn’t been finding the right one. The narrators for the audiobook version are fantastic at making the characters come alive, and delivering all the humor, feeling, banter, and spice. Definitely recommend to those who love a great rom-com, and look forward to other books from B.K. Borison. Thanks to the author, Dreamscape Media, & NetGalley for the opportunity to review this audiobook!

This is the third book in the Lovelight Farms series, and it follows our resident baker, Layla and former Sheriff's deputy turned teacher, Caleb.
Both of them are having no luck in the dating department and decide to try dating for a month to see what insights they can gain as to why they have failed in their previous relationships.
This was really cute, I really liked how sweet and attentive Caleb was towards Layla. And how being with Caleb allowed Layla to be more open and have new experiences.
I did feel like the last 1/3 of the story fell a little, but I still liked the story overall.

I’ve enjoyed all of the books in this series but I think this is my favorite.

It was really funny and the narration was great. I don’t want to spoil anything but, the hangover, the skate rink and the escape room were some of my favorite parts of this book. I was cackling like a madwoman.

I’m so excited for Charlie’s book!

I absolutely loved this story, it might be my favorite of the Lovelight series yet! Caleb and Layla have such a good relationship and each learn a lot from eachother. They learned how to identify a good relationship from a red-flag one, and how to communicate with eachother. He falls first (well before this story even starts) and it's honestly the cutest small-town romance ever. Also, the spice?!?! it's a 4/5 on the steamy scale. I would recommend this book to anyone!

This book was a great romance novel as I loved Layla and Caleb! They were a great couple and I loved all of their interactions and dates. This book moved quickly and was a great read.

Layla and Caleb chefs kiss. To say I love this series is a understatement. Layla is the baker at lovelight farm and she has the worse luck in dating and the men she's picked. Sometimes she's blind to what's in front of her 3 days a week to be precise. Everyone can see what she can't see Caleb. When she yet again goes on a bad date Caleb is there and gives her a ride home and she doesn't know how she chooses these men. He had a "brilliant" ides to date each other to figure out what each of there problem in dating is. What could go wrong.

This is the 3rd book in the lovelight farm series they are told from different couples so you don't have to read all 3. But why wouldn't you. In each book you learn more about the town the people in it. And the crazy nosey phone tree haha.

Now my only complaint is I don't get to see as much of the farm light family which I soo missed.

But this series is cute and funny and makes me feel all warm. I can't wait for book 4.

I love B.K. Borison’s books so much, and I’ve been spacing them out in hopes of avoiding a month of #bookhangover. But when @dreamscape_media sent the audiobook, I couldn’t resist diving in head first into book 3.

Cinnamon roll heroes (or in this case: a soft buttery croissant) are not always my thing, but CALEB. Slightly shy & self-conscious in everyday life, but in the bedroom 👀 Friends, when I tell you I broke the spine in this one… it was an absolute pleasure💥

These two knuckleheads are the absolute cutest as they begin one month fake dating with a series of weird mishaps in hopes of learning how to find love. And it’s easy to fall hard and fast for them both as they unknowingly fall for each other.

The supporting cast in Inglewild is pure pleasure as always, but if you’ve never read another Lovelight book, no worries! This one is a great standalone that will most definitely be a gateway into a new fav series.

I read this one in 3 forms over the course of a weekend—ebook in KU, the gorgeous paperback, & the audio—they’re all great! Thanks so much to @dreamscape_media for the audiobook in exchange for an honest review!

OH MY GOOOODNESS. I adored this book. Fake dating + baking + perfect spice. I was immediately hooked.

I found Layla to be such a relatable character. After MANY awful matches and horrible dates Layla and Caleb decide they will help each other and show each other what love is supposed to be. AND DO THEY EVER.

Caleb is immediately my number 1 book boyfriend. Immediately. He is just perfection.

I felt this was the perfect example of blushing spice while also having a top tier story line.

I will without a doubt be rereading. FLEW to the top of my fav reads list!

I enjoyed the first two books in this series, and although I didn’t want to give up on it, I was really afraid I wasn’t going to like this one as much. I’m usually not big on stories that feature cop (co)-protagonists, so finding out early on that the male main character had switched careers was nice, and the overall story was (mostly) light and enjoyable. Fluffiness, fun, a little bit of angst and communication breakdown, as well as appearances from previous characters were all nice touches. It sounds like there’s supposed to be one more book in the Lovelight series, and I’ll be looking out for it.

I unfortunately wasn't in the mood for something like this. It's a sweet story, but it felt way too long for what it was. There's not really any plot other than the romance, and the romance was consisted of very obvious mutual attraction from chapter one. The lack of communication consisted through pretty much the entire story.

At the 46% mark it felt like we should have been in the last 10 percent and I couldn't process that more than half was left, but the 2nd half consisted of more of the same. I was mostly bored.

If you really like mutual pining, you might like this was it too much for me

I have quickly fallen in love with this series by B.K. Borison. The beautiful covers initially caught me, but I am so glad I decided to pick them up. In the third installation of the Lovelight Farms books, we follow Layla's dating journey as she stumbles through countless terrible dates. When she finally runs into Caleb, a regular at her bakery, they decide to date each other for a month to learn what they are each doing wrong on dates that make their dating lives so terrible.

I absolutely loved the chemistry between these two characters. I felt like the spice level definitely topped the other two books. Caleb especially is the definition of a "golden retriever boyfriend". He is sweet, caring, and compassionate. He also follows Layla around like she is the most wonderful human being he has ever seen. It is clear from the start that they were going to make a great couple.

There was such great tension between them as they learned to navigate their arrangement. As they slowly pushed the boundaries between them, their feelings started to progress. It was the perfect recipe for a romance novel. I loved this entire series and hope to read more from Borison in the future.

I’m a sucker for small town romances ! Especially when there’s so many sweets involved 😍

- fake dating
- guy falls first
- small town romances

Can’t wait to read the other books that are a part of this series

I guess you can say I’m a sucker for a fake dating plot. This book was so good. Although it’s part of a “series” it can definitely be read as a standalone.

I listened to the audio version and enjoyed the narrators as well as the story. This is the third book in the series which I didn’t realize before reading it, I did not feel lost or anything but I’m sure it would have added more. It was well written and even the passionate scenes felt well thought out. Recommend!

Super cute, sweet, and (eventually) spicy book! Caleb and Layla were absolutely adorable and the narrators fit their personalities well. Layla’s was a little breathy in places, but overall she was a good match for the character. I really enjoyed this story and can’t wait for more from this author 🥰

The sweet, small town romance at the heart of this story is great. There were some other things, however, that knocked this particular book down a little bit for me.

Though I knew this was a spicy read going in (and I don’t mind that at all) I felt those scenes were so long and drawn out to the point I’d start zoning out, so not the most exciting. I also don’t love the I’ve never been able to finish before you trope.

The breakup at the 80% mark was both annoying (as they always are) and it felt forced and didn’t flow naturally.

Overall, Layla and Caleb are a darling pairing who each have a bit of anxiety and self-esteem issues to work through but ultimately fit quite nicely together. Caleb’s support for Layla’s dreams from the beginning was the exact energy a romantic partner should have. The nosey townspeople were fun as well, as it really aides in giving this book a Hallmark feel.

The narrator for this audiobook was the perfect pick for a small town romance.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for giving me the opportunity to listen to Mixed Signals by BK Borison. My first book by her and I have to say that sadly, I did not connect with any of the main characters, don't get me wrong, maybe it was because I have not read the first 2 books, but this story got me confused and felt lost at some point. I couldn't finish it because I didn't feel the story or characters. I gave this 3 stars because Caleb came up with the social experiment thing with Layla to "fake dating" but I don't think they fake date at all because no one actually knew. TONS of miscommunication and I honestly don't like that. Caleb and Layla were annoying depending on the situation. The narration was good, but there was some dialog that I DISLIKE and felt cringe, and it also gave me goosebumps because of how cringe it was.
