This cookbook was great! I'm thinking of buying for myself and really hope something like it comes in Swedish, as well, so I can share it with my kids. The book has some great parts, teaching kids the important things in cooking, as well as safety while cooking.
It's packed with information, but in a way that's easy to process. Among the delicious looking recipes, which also are easy to read, there are easy nutrition facts, comparisons and tips and tricks. The recipes vary from simple to more complex.

Definitely a favorite.

A fun cookbook to introduce to kids to something other than nuggets and fries. It passively teaches them about nutrition, helps to expand their palates while having some fun and gaining confidence in the kitchen. There is a sense of pride and joy when they make something from start to finish that is wonderful. Terrific photography, great easy to follow recipes. I have the digital version which the kids loved Plus, having it as a digital version was fabulous as the kids are so technically adept it helped to lure them in to getting involved. Kids palates tend to expand when getting more involved and learning all about their food and giving them some autonomy. Nothing sweeter than the faces of my nephews when they ate the food they made.

Whilst I don’t have kids, this cookbook was still fantastic, looking forward to trying some of the recipes. This would also be quite a good book for a person going to uni, because it shows you the basics.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

Oh my lanta. I love this book. I have food allergies. My family is picky. And there is something for everyone here. I love getting my kids involved in cooking. I find it helps them want to try different foods. This book talks about the ingredients and how to slice and dice. It even talks about why salad wilts and avocado turns brown. It's family and science and cooking and I love it. That pumpkin pie smoothie is the joy of my day. My son wants to tell everyone about the food in his lunch and how he made it. I am so happy to have found this book. I want to try all the recipes. Thank you so much. If you have kids, or picky partners, this book is for you.

There are lots of good recipes in this book that children and adults alike will enjoy. I dont necessarily think it's a cookbook I'd use very often because I'd want some healthier options, but I could see reaching for it on weekends and special occasions and to cook together with my kids.

Very nice family cookbook. The recipes look easy to make with kids and the photos look pretty good. There are recipes for breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner and desserts. It’s a colorful book, easy to read and to follow. There are also tips at the end teaching hot to chop vegetables and more. I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review

The Chop Chop Family Cookbook is a great addition for busy families looking to change up their routine. There are a wide range of recipes (simple to complex) which means that there really is something for everyone in this book. These recipes focus on whole food options and offer healthy substitutions and alternatives to traditional offerings. Highly recommended (and I even got my 4 year old to eat spinach using the Monster Smoothie)!

We loved this family cookbook in our household! I read it from cover to cover and picked out a couple of items to make including the Monster Smoothie, Morning Rice Pudding, Shakshuka, and Rice Cake Granola Bars. I’ve also earmarked a couple of recipes to try soon like the Oven “Fried” Chicken (yuuumm!). The recipes we’ve tried so far are fun and tasty with straightforward recipes to follow.

My favourite part of the family cookbook is all the explanations, definitions and tips and tricks that are written specifically for young readers learning to cook. Having straightforward definitions with pictures to describe the difference between things like chopped and diced is so important and a cooking fundamental. And as a mom trying to teach my kiddo about healthy food options, it was nice to see some food nutritious tips such as explaining the benefits of bananas versus oranges and why we should eat both for nutritious balance :).

I look forward to snagging a copy when it releases in March 2023, and I can’t wait to try out a few more of the recipes before then with my sneak peak copy!

Thanks NetGalley, Sally Sampson and the publishers for an advanced copy to review and provide my feedback on.

I suppose these recipes are healthier than how many kids eat these days. The focus of this cookbook is healthy recipes for kids to make. I don’t necessarily agree with the authors on the health of some of it and I suspect a lot of kids won’t be fans of the tastes of some. There are lots of recipes. Many have gluten and animal products. Many have photos, often with kids cooking them.

It’s frustrating for me that a cookbook that goes out of its way to talk about nutritional information includes no nutritional information for its recipes. That’s a major drawback for me.

There’s a good amount of cooking information for kids who are new to the kitchen.

All in all it’s a fine cookbook that some kids may enjoy. You might want to check it out from the library first to see if it’s a great hit for your family.

I read a temporary digital arc of this book for review.

What a fantastic book to use with / alongside children to teach them how to cook a range of simple, yet tasty, meals in the kitchen. It has very clear and simple instructions to help guide you through through each dish, with child-friendly tips along the way. This treasure of a book will help build a child’s confidence in the kitchen, giving them a love for cooking early on. The book itself is bright and vibrant, with mouth-wateringly good accompanying recipe photos.. I also love the wide variety of family favourite dishes in here - there’s definitely something for everyone, but with a healthy twist and an emphasis on nutrition. It covers everything, from starters snacks, to mains and desserts. Fabulous cook book!

Thank you to Storey Publishing and Netgalley for an eARC of this book to read and review.

I devoured this cookbook in just a few days! I was really impressed with the author's organization of the various recipes included in this cookbook, ranging from breakfast to lunch and dessert recipes. There are literally a ton of recipes included by the author (more than 200 of them!), and almost all of the recipes featured in this cookbook are super healthy, which also impressed me. It can be relatively difficult to find healthy yet delicious recipes that are both easy and convenient to make. These recipes require few ingredients and I have already tried out some of the smoothie ones and I have loved everything I have made so far. I also think this cookbook is beginner friendly and will appeal to many people looking for quick and easy recipes they can make with their kids and other family members. I am excited to make even more recipes from this cookbook in the future!

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This family cookbook has beautiful, vibrant pictures to go along with recipes that sound absolutely delicious! The instructions are easy to follow, and the ingredients are things you could find at any grocery store. I love the format of the book. It has sections for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and desserts, and each section has pages that spotlight a type of food or a superfood. There are paragraphs discussing food science that would be very interesting to elementary school kids. And I love how many variations there are, like the page about oatmeal toppings or the section on grain bowls. This is a cookbook I will gladly purchase and use to begin teaching my 7 year old about cooking!

Thank you to NetGalley and Storey Publishing for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
