“If you don’t laugh out loud or get choked up, I’ve failed.” Kelsey Humphreys

Oh girl, you did NOT fail, not one bit! I LOL'd, I got choked up, I felt alllll kinds of feelings while reading this book!

I absolutely loved this book, and I will admit, I didn't think I would. The beginning was a bit slow, but once things got going, I quite literally couldn't put it down. Both main characters were so unapologetically themselves, and while I predicted what would cause the drama between the two characters, I truly enjoyed the entire thing. There were so many parts in this book where I literally felt my stomach drop or my heart lurch, I was so truly invested in Sam and Emerson and hopeful for an HEA. I loved the banter between them and the chemistry was off the charts.

One thing I also loved was Sam and her relationship with her sisters. I haven't read Skye's story yet, but I surely will be VERY soon! As well as adding the rest of this series to my TBR.

Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the chance to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a fun opposites attract romantic comedy. I found myself laughing out loud throughout the first half of the book. The second half the book did seem to take a while to get to the end but overall it was fun easy read.

Thanks Netgalley and Magnamour for the ARC.

Things I overshared was a bit slow to start off but the FMC dialogue was hilarious and by the halfway point I couldn’t put this story down. I LOVE the grumpy/sunshine trope and I think Kelsey writes it so well! ✨ this gave me the Love Hypothesis vibes. 4/5 ⭐️

It has enemies to lovers, grumpy/sunshine trope. I liked the book but it was way too slow for me. Loved the sisters bonding.

Another good romance book I really enjoyed - I really liked the characters in this one, liked the setting and loved the banter.
It’s an easy going heartfelt romance with a brilliant sisterly bond with some real laugh out loud moments thrown in - definitely go and read this one for a pick me up!

What can I say. I loved loved the concept: grumpy /sunshine, enemies to lovers, slow burn romance.
But the main character literally has diarrhea of the mouth LOL. Her inner monologue and then what actually comes out of her mouth was...wow.

Loved it, read as a standalone and finished the book in one sitting. Immediately started the first in the series straight after.

I really enjoyed this! I resonated with it, being an outgoing and oftentimes over talkative individual. I thrive in a grumpy-sunshine environment. Emerson? Yes.

4.5 Stars.

I honestly enjoyed this one so much more than I anticipated. I swooned over Emerson the entire book. I was so excited whenever we got to see his character open a little more. I know he did not talk all that much, but I realized I loved every time he did. Samantha is so unapologetically herself; she is relatable and caring. Definitely a perfect heroine of the story. I could not put this book down once I started it. So so good. However, I did find myself wanting a bit more from Emerson, but that is probably just because I am obsessed with him now.

Thank you NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a very cute enemies to lovers, grump vs sunshine workplace romance read. I could really relate to both MC (in one’s accidental oversharing and the other’s introvert qualities). I also really enjoyed the sisterly bonds and support that was portrayed in it.

"Things I Overshared" is "The Hating Game" meets "The Spanish Love Deception" with one of the best tropes: grumpy love interest v. chatty, extroverted main character. I cannot wait for this book to blow up on TikTok! It reads like an enemies to lovers fanfiction so this will be a book that you cannot put down! Samantha is so adorably relatable with her nervous talking and anxious thoughts that you can't help but root for her. Everything about this book is warm, comforting, and a total escape from the real world. Kelsey Humphreys does the rare thing of creating a romance story that feels like an escape from reality, while also making the female main character realistic and relatable in order for the reader to feel fully invested in the story's outcomes.

This was so fun! I loved having the introvert vs extrovert element of their relationship being an item of focus, because that is something I am super interested in. Plus, both characters were super fun and I loved the little tidbits from the first book! Overall, I'd definitely recommend this to fans of adult romance who prefer novels with lower-steam levels.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

Ok I had no idea this was a series… excuse me while I go devour book 1 and prep myself for 3. Fantastic.

Samantha finds out she gets to go on an amazing work trip to Europe. Her dream trip. An itinerary she constructed with fun being the core of it. Her travel buddy is the one & only, Frosty, Emerson Clark himself. No biggie; she knows what needs to be done. Launch of mission Thaw- to befriend Emerson. What can possibly go wrong? Everyone loves Sam.

THIS. THIS WAS EVERYTHING I WANTED AND MUCH MUCH MORE!

I have been counting the days to read Sam’s story since I wrapped up the first book of this series. And let me tell you, the author didn’t disappoint.

Storyline was just awesome. Gripping and engaging. Great writing. Fast paced. Not a dull moment at all for me. It had the perfect mix of fun, humor, emotional pulls, & swoons. Lots of smiles and giggles with this one as the humor kept coming. This was the water to my days thirst for a good workplace grumpy sunshine need.

Samantha is full of life. An over-sharer. A bubbly person. Outgoing. All out. She is definitely my favorite out of all the sisters & I say so still not reading all their stories. Emerson, oh Emerson. Reserved. Moody. The thundery cloud to Sam’s arrays of sunshine. A classic introvert but with much more under his stoic grumpy demeanor & look he has been portraying. Can’t wait for you to see what lies underneath.

One thing for sure, the angst, tension, and longing packed a punch in this one. It’s a slow burn for sure! The banter between these two is well written. I loved the dynamics between them & how they navigated this relationship with them being complete opposites.

You ask what is my favorite part of this book. Don’t know which I loved the most. Maybe the meetings, the team building activities, boat scene, the word vomits, sister’s text messages, club and the post open-heart discussion, maybe the ship trip, Paris, or the different Operations Sam underwent. Maybe just the whole damn book!!

Message to the lovely author, I just want the record to state of how impatient I am for the next book. And the one after that. And the next. I am obsessed with the Canton’s sisters.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC.

So this book has SO many of my favourite tropes.

- enemies to lovers
- slow burn
- grumpy x sunshine

These alone made me dive into this book! I enjoyed reading it and I was able to finish it in one sitting. I loved the sisters and their relationship and I found the chemistry with the FMC and the MC great!

“You really don’t know much about me, do you?”
“Emerson. No one knows much about you.”

We loved this book! This is our first book by Kelsey Humphreys, and what a wonderfully delightful opposite attract romance it was! And talk about opposites! Samantha and Emerson couldn’t be more different. A chatty, larger-than-life extrovert, and a grumpy nonsyllabic introvert. It could never work, right? Never say never. If, like us, you love this trope, check out this book because this author pulled it off splendidly. We felt it all!

‘Once minute he’s beaming salty sex rays at me with his grin, the next he’s as cold as a blizzard blowing right out the door. ‘

A true grumpy sunshine (they don’t come grumpier or sunnier than Sam and Emerson) romance with a workplace vibe, which delivered the perfect balance of humour – oh wow did we laugh out loud at times. This book had it all! Chemistry, tension, emotion, and passion! Not to mention the beautiful blend of friendship and sisterhood with Sam’s sister. These four sisters – though very different from each other, were great support and a good laugh when Sam needed it. And did she need it! Who knew what the gorgeous Emerson was thinking half the time!

‘So, where I am too much, Emerson Clark is…he’s a freaking void, that’s what he is. If I’m sunshine, he’s a cloud. He’s a black hole.’

Samantha Canton is the extroverted daughter of the head of Canton Cards, who is off on a one-month business trip to Europe- or a schmoozalapooza as Sam calls it. When plans change, her traveling companion becomes the uptight British CEO, Emerson Clark. Not much intimidates the outgoing, no-filter Sam, but the cold Mr. Clark sure does. She’s a babbling mess around him.

‘He’s staring at me, blinking, like his brain could only keep up with maybe a third of what I just projectiled out so fast, as if speed talking is an Olympic sport and I’m going for gold.’

Sam decides, with the help of her sisters, to set in motion ‘Operation thaw Mr. Frosty’ in the hope she and the closed-off Emerson can become friends.

‘I’d rather be lonely than be a scared, watered-down version of myself.’

Introverted Emerson’s entire itinerary for the next month is in the hands of the most extroverted of extroverted, over-the-top sweethearts you could find. How will they survive one another?

‘Don’t ever dress yourself down for anyone.”

Easy breezy meets moody broody in this fun frolicking, though at times painfully real emotional romance. The banter is spot on, the romance is heart-gripping, and the chemistry is brilliant. What an introduction!! We need more of this series. We can’t wait for the next book!

“This is real, Emerson. I want you. Now look me in my eyes and try to tell me you don’t want me too.”

Things I Overshared is the second book in this series but can be read as a standalone. It has the grumpy x sunshine, slow burn romance, enemies-to-lovers and strong sisterhood bonds.

My favorite thing about this book is the strong sisterhood bonds the FMC (Samantha) share with her sisters. I always smile and laugh a little while reading their chat conversations.

The pacing of the first half part is slow and feels dragging at times.
It took me a while to warm up to Samantha’s character because reading her non-stop inner monologue gets exhausting and after a while I want to just skim it over. But she eventually grows on me in the second half part of the story.

I also don’t really like Emerson (MMC) at first because I felt like he’s kinda stringing Samantha along. I wish he got his own POV so I can get more insights about the other side that he didn’t show to Samantha.. then maybe I won’t get too frustrated when he changes his action from hot to cold towards Samantha.

The ending was a bit rushed with the time jumps and the miscommunication slightly annoyed me, it wouldn’t have to happened if they just talk and be honest with each other.
Moreover, there’s one subplot that appeared suddenly and doesn’t get more explanation which feels slightly odd to be inserted that near the ending.

I really want to like this one, it has potential to be a great office romance with these tropes however this book still needs development in some areas.
Since I really like the sister bonds in this book, I might pick up the third one later to know the story of the next sister.

I have always wanted to read a book on a CFO as a main lead and this book made that happen for me. Yes, the Hero is a CFO. For the first time I understood how an Extrovert feels. A pleasant read for me.

EMERSON - The Male lead is an Introvert. Make him speak ten words and you are a person who makes miracles. He kept his feelings hidden for the heroine. Has is own justifying reasons.

SAMANTHA - The Female lead is an Extrovert. She speaks her heart out and I love the bonding she had with her sisters. I loved the part how she wanted to adopt a child seeing the census on how can kids were their as orphans. She made me cry with her words towards the end. She's truly an Angel like how Emerson says.

From calling him Evil Iceman she ended up calling him Em. In the end, he became addicted to her calling him Em. They both are so adorable and I'm looking forward to meet them again in the future.

Tropes:-
Grumpy Hero
Sunshine Heroine
Enemies to lovers
He falls first
Office Rom-Com

Give this book a chance and I'm sure you'll love it.

Thank you so much @netgalley and @thekelseyhumphreys for providing me the ARC of this Beautiful book with an Extraordinary plot.
