This book man, it was a true journey. Not only through traveling but jeez my emotions all over the place! Humphreys kills the extrovert/introvert romance once again, this time with a workplace flair. Emerson and Samatha are absolutely the cutest and im so grateful to have read their story. Especially since meeting Emerson in Skye’s story (Things I Should Have Said) I was so intrigued to figure out his icy demeanor which Samatha was able to unthaw. They absolutely compliment each other in the best ways possible.

One of my favorite things about this book (besides Emerson being British) is that fact that it can be read as a standalone or read with Skye’s book. It’s so fun to be able to see relationships grow as other characters showcase their own relationships. I’m truly a sucker for this kinda thing. So I’m so incredibly excited to see if any of the other Canton sisters have their stories told!

Additionally, one thing that I thought Humphreys did so freaking well in the Things I Should Have Said was *spoiler if you haven’t read it!!!!!!* Skye’s grand gesture. So I was so happy to be able to read about Emerson’s grand gesture, now I said last time kinda getting over the cliche of a guy doing it but that was before this. Emerson’s grand gesture made me sob, full on crying into my pillow sob. It showcased how much he listened to Sam’s oversharing and all the effort he put into while also kinda having her sisters involved. Chef’s kiss of a grand gesture. Humphreys truly has the magic touch when it comes to writing these things.

I adored this book! I read the first book in this series a few months back and was THRILLED to receive the ARC for this title as well. I adored the extrovert/introvert trope and had fun with this. As an introvert, I was not able to relate to Samantha as much, but still enjoyed her perspective!

3.5 overall stars.
The first half of the book was overly worded. Like the main character it was just too much at times and made it hard to follow or even enjoy.
It picked up around halfway and the 2nd half or so was enjoyable. I liked the characters overall. They were a grumpy/sunshine pair but also at times not, hence some confusion.
I'm interested enough that I'd go back and read the first book in the series and possibly the next.

This book was amazing. I chose it for the title alone because I consider myself a chronic over sharer. I loved this story, Emerson and Samantha are great characters and I really understood a lot of the things Sam went through because of who she is. Lovely story, definitely recommend for any grumpy sunshine fans!

** Thanks to NetGalley for my ARC of this! **

This was a great read! I didn't realize it was part of a series, but it worked super well as as standalone. Sam and Emerson have perfect chemistry; the back and forth is compelling and spicy. The slow burn of the story is 100% worth it, as is Emerson's big pining reveal at the end. I'll definitely be picking up more Kelsey Humphrey's in the future.

THINGS I OVERSHARED has an interesting trope: introvert/extrovert. I've read sunshine/grumpy and while THINGS I OVERSHARED has a somewhat similar feel, the two main characters' are forced to confront their love or disdain for … people.

Samantha needs people to talk to. She truly loves conversations. She loves being around people. She loves sharing all of her feelings. She also loves to overexplain things.

Emerson is quite literally the opposite. He keeps his words close to his British vest. Exposure to people wears him down. He is private. He has a good business mind, but he just needs people to leave him alone.

So, of course, sparks fly when the two must spend six weeks in London together for work.

I loved the way they pushed each other to become better in everything. My only pause was they were both extremely wealthy based off their parents' companies. The twist to the trust fund baby plot is they both WORKED and had real, legitimate careers.

I thought some parts were unrelatable to the average Jill's out there. Me, I'm the average Jill. :)

However, this was such a fun book for a Friday night read.

Thank you to NetGalley and Magnamour for an e-copy of THINGS I OVERSHARED.

I rate THINGS I OVERSHARED four out of five stars.

The previous book in this series took us inside the head of an introvert. This one goes to the other extreme, and I'll be honest: it took me a long time to get into it. Samantha is A Lot. Too much for many people, and she tells us so. Repeatedly. I felt that the first part of the book could have been condensed considerably, because it was quite clear early on that she was an outgoing sunshiny type with hidden insecurities, and Emerson was your classic introvert/grump, but it was hammered home so much that both characters felt too much like caricatures. However, once the European trip started and we got to see more nuance from both main characters, both the pace and the development improved greatly, and I found myself liking them a lot more. The sisters' text chats are a highlight, like they were in the first book, and I enjoyed the way they all came together to help. Definitely worth persevering with in the end.

This book was SO bad for the first 45% and then got SO good for the last 55%. I have conflicting feelings...

Both the main characters were so unlikeable and such caricatures at first and I was so close to just not finishing it because I was so annoyed. However, both characters also really opened up midway through the book and just blossomed. I feel like it would have been nice to see a little bit of this from earlier on at least with Sam since we are in her head. The author had to tell us at least once a page how high maintenance she was and it just got so old so quickly. If we had not been presented with this one-dimensional character and had gotten to know her insecurities much earlier on it would have made me connect with her more.

This was still really cute and as already mentioned the last 55% were SO good! I would have liked to see more groveling from Emerson at the end and it would have been nice if the whole conflict was because of something else than them just assuming and not talking together.

Overall it was a good book and I'm actually so excited to read Sadies book!

First of all, definitely recommend this to anyone who loved Terms & Conditions by Lauren Asher!!

I loved the book! It was such a fast-paced read - I finished it in less than a day. This is the first book I’ve read by the author, and I’m glad I decided to pick it up. There were nicknames/slang used that would occasionally take me out of the story, but overall it was just a cute fluffy romance. I thought the storyline was really cute with the office and work trip settings. I wasn’t a fan of the third act conflict, but everything else was really addicting and a good time.

The book really focused on the aspects of being an introvert versus and extrovert, which I thought was interesting. Sam, the main character, was extremely extroverted, while Emerson, the love interest, was on the furthest end of being an introvert. It took a while for me to warm up to Sam, but she grew on me. I thought the love interest was cute, and it would’ve been interesting to see more of his point of view. I’m glad I got the chance to read this, and I’m excited for its release.

Thank you to NetGalley and Magnamour for providing this book!

An outgoing person meets a shy, introverted boss. A fun rom-com with many interesting cities in the background. Love both characters and the places that they visit! Lots of chemistry and fun banter between the main characters. Totally enjoyed the book.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

Another great read from Kelsey Humpreys! Sam and Emerson waded through insecurities, miscommunication, misguided sentiments, and jealousy to finally reach the love they could only find with each other. Emerson’s grand gesture was glorious!
While I could not relate to Sam at all, I felt a kinship with Emerson, bless his stoical heart. I knew something was up with Nicole as soon as she told Sam to run from Emerson—you don’t ever play mind games with someone who spends so much time in his head!
I became even more enamored with the sisters’ relationships with one another in this book and am very curious about Sadie’s story. This author definitely understands introverts, and she seems to somehow relate to extroverts too (though I can’t be 100% sure…)!

Trying to think of all the tropes in this one book…

Grumpy/sunshine
Introvert/extrovert
Enemies to lovers
Slow burn
Coworkers
Forced proximity
Fake dating

Sam’s company is sending her to Europe on a month-long work trip with Emerson, a guy who can barely stand her. She’s very cheerful and talkative and friendly and bubbly, and he’s… not. They need to find a way to work and live together for a month and, in the process, discover they like each other WAY more than they ever thought.

This had more heavy moments than I was expecting, but was a good story and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for Things I Over Shared to come out December 6, 2022!
