This was my first poetry book that I’ve read in a while but I really enjoyed it. I love poetry books that have little doodles throughout it also, they really add to it. I really felt seen while reading this because I really did relate to a lot of them, which isn’t a bad thing. I like relating to the books I read… sometimes. This time, I did enjoy it a lot.

Poetry is a way to share every emotion of every second. What I loved about Allie’s collection is that I have never felt so seen. From dating to engagement to break ups and marriage and children, I felt every word of these pieces. While the situations are different, she writes them with such honest truth that I could feel it in my bones and each piece explained my ten year relationship at some point. I love that I felt optimism and hope seeping through the hurt and loss.

I loved so many of these! This has so many inspirational poems inside. And the pictures were lovely and really pulled it all together. I really think this book will be a favourite for many people.

I was given a copy of this book from NetGalley for an honest review.
