Beautiful poetry. Beautiful art. So impactful and powerful. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

As soon as I read the title, I got excited to read this book. However, it fell flat. I did enjoy some of the poems, some of them really got me thinking, but most of them felt pretty basic and nothing extraordinary. I didn't really enjoy the illustrations either.

Most of the poems are only a few lines yet some are so strong and powerful, I found myself screenshotting several so I could come back and read them again (the equivalent of bookmarking a page I'm sure!). As a woman, I can relate to nearly all of them.

Like the poems, the artwork largely follows a theme but varies in medium - some digital, some paint, some crayon but all bright and colourful. As with the writing, not all will appeal to everyone; some of them I loved and think they paired beautifully with the poems, some were just nice to look at.

A quick and emotional collection, which carries a message of hope and empowerment when accompanied by the vibrant art.

Extremely quick read. I finished it in a hour. The art work was very nice, and the poetry was meaningful, but perhaps it just wasn't my style of book. Since I primarily look for books for teenagers, I'll likely pass on this one.

There were some poems I loved but most of them were just okay. It didn't wow me like I initially thought it would have when I requested it. The art work that was paired with it was nice to see though.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is composed of both poems and painting and that's what actually made me want to read this book in the first place. However, the poems are basic and very disappointing while the paintings seem so random paired to the poems. I also am ignorant when it comes to abstract art and maybe that's why I find the paintings confusing, so take that with a grain of salt. But personally, from what I feel and experienced by reading this book, this ain't it and it's very disappointing.

This was a quick and easy read. The poems were simple and I think anyone could relate to them. Yet, the poems didn't really make much of an impression on me, I liked the artwork more.

Thank you NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the free ARC.

This was a very quick and enjoyable poetry read. The illustrations were beautiful, vibrant and so colorful. I really enjoyed how relatable the poems were. I found myself being able to compare my own experiences in my life with many of the poems. Womanhood is tough and Amber Vittoria did a great job at writing about worry, beauty, and self esteem issues, all while also giving readers good advice.
Overall, if you're wanting to read a poetry book that flows nicely and has captivating illustrations, this is the poetry book for you!

I would also like to say thank you to Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley for giving me this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This is a very relatable and snappy poetry collection. Each of the poems is short and effective and describe circumstances many of us can relate to. Alongside each of the poems is a vibrant rainbow coloured piece of art. This was a quick and interesting read.
