This was very cute! The original A to Z Mysteries series are the first chapter books I ever read by myself so when I saw a new spin off I had to read it.

I love that our main character, Abbi, has an electronic wheelchair and it’s not made a big deal of, but the differences a character who uses a wheelchair versus walking around are just natural parts of the story.

I’m excited to see what other animal mysteries Abbi, Lydia, and Daniel solve.

Thank you to NetGalley for making this available in exchange for an honest review!

The kids are off to a rollicking start in this easy reader version (maybe early chapter book at 83 pages?) of A to Z mysteries. Great illustrations and a very accessible story appropriate for advanced young readers, target age, and older readers in a Hi-Lo setting it those with learning disabilities or intellectual disabilities. I'd see this be in a nice replacement for the dated chapter book series.

Abbi and her friends Lydia and Daniel are excited for the state fair. However, when they are there, alpacas that are about to be in a competition go missing. They decide to hunt down the culprit before an innocent person is blamed. Very cute and a good read for younger readers!
