Frankie isn't exactly a likable character. She has anger issues, and she carries around a notebook with a list of people who have done her wrong. One day, her notebook goes missing, and suddenly, people on her list start getting hurt in freak accidents.

Once I found out what Frankie's back story was, it was easy to understand why she was so angry and she became more likable. There were times when I was really frustrated with her, though!

This was a bit of a slow burn at times, but it held my attention, and I really enjoyed it!

Thank you @netgalley, @_mira_books_ , @htpbooks and the author for the e-arc of this book.

This book was pretty compelling, even though parts were a bit slower than I expected. The mystery at the core is very light and the main focus is more on the main character's relationships and past issues. While this wasn't what I expected based on the description, the writing was engaging enough that I stuck through to the end. The main character was pretty fun to read when she was really angry but it could feel repetitive in the first half. Though as she digs deeper into what is happening to her, her attitude begins to shift. If you want a mystery that's lighter on plot and deeper on character, this might be a good fit for your shelf.

I read this back in February but life gave me a curveball and everything outside of my family took a back seat.

With that being said, I really loved this story. Frankie Morgan is a character that I could live vicariously through. She’s basically my inner bitch and even though she had some cringe-worthy temper outbursts, there’s just something about her take no crao attitude that I really admired. As I got to know more about Frankie, though, the more endearing she became and the more empathy I felt for her plight.

The plot is twisty and there’s a heck of a bombshell thrown in.

A quickly paced thriller from one of my favorites. Hoping for a sequel to Frankie’s story.

My thanks to @HTP for this gifted copy!

Frankie's temper has landed her in an anger management group that she grudgingly attends. There the leader of the group challenges them to make a "forgiveness list". Frankie makes out her list before she sneaks out of group early with a fellow attendee. At the coffee shop she catches Evan going through her purse and blows up. She discovers the only thing missing is her list. What follows is a twisty turn of events that keep you guessing.

I binge read this book in a weekend. Hannah Mary McKinnon knows how to write a bingeable thriller. This book had me trying to figure out who the guilty person was. Even though I had partially figured out what had happened in Frankie's past, and I wouldn't understand the role this detail would play in the story for sure until much later in the book, this was a suspenseful read.

I really liked the ending and this was a fast paced read that provided a satisfying ending in terms of Frankie's relationships with her family and people from her past. The ending does leave the reader wondering, what is next, but I kind of like that the author provided some closure for the reader and a mystery at the same time.

I look forward to reading more books written by this author in the future.

This author is just so talented. All of her books are so different!
This one is about Frankie. Frankie has anger issues and after multiple blowups, she is forced to go to an anger management class. There, she writes a list of people she is angry at. Later, her list is lost (stolen?) and the people on it meet unfortunate events 👀

The Revenge List by Hannah Mary McKinnon is a thriller novel. The story in The Revenge list is one that is told from the point of view of the main character who is somewhat of an unreliable narrator.

Frankie Morgan has a temper and is going to attend anger management classe at the request of her father, and boss. The class Frankie joins is headed up by her father’s friend and the first task Frankie is given is to create a list of those she feels the most anger towards with the intention of forgiving those on the list.

After Frankie created her list of those she has struggled with hating the most though Frankie finds that her list has gone missing. Frankie doesn’t know how or why the list has vanished but she does know that some strange things begin to happen to those people that she wrote down on that list.

The Revenge List is not the first book I’ve read from author Hannah Mary McKinnon and it certainly will not be the last either. Quickly after picking up The Revenge List I found myself engrossed in the story and getting to know the main character. I found it interesting to focus on a character with anger issues that wasn’t an abusive character but someone that had plenty of things in her life to be angry about. I could feel sympathy with Frankie while also becoming intrigued as to what was happening and turning the pages faster and faster to see the outcome. Another engaging tale from the author who I have become a fan.

This was a good one! I’m gonna say right off the bat that it doesn’t have major thriller vibes until the last 15% of the book. It’s much more along the lines of drama and maybe a bit of mystery? I don’t know. It’s hard for me to define. Maybe a super light popcorn thriller.

In saying all that, I definitely still enjoyed it and loved the author’s writing! I found her style to be a bit different than the last one I read (Never Coming Home), but I liked that there was a change of flavour.

Frankie (the MC) made me unbelievably mad. She has some anger issues, and that ends up causing her to make so many stupid decisions. I kept wanting to scream at my Kindle. But it was a good level of hatred, and it didn’t take away from the story at all.

Although I did predict the main twist, it was still so fun to read about it and see how the author presented it. It got creepy and cool and the ending was so good!

Thank you to Harper Collins Canada for my gifted copy!

I’ve seen great reviews about this book, and I was excited to read it. It’s about an angry woman who makes a forgiveness list during her anger management therapy session. The list goes missing shortly after it’s written, and tragedies suddenly starts happening to people on her list. Frankie is set on finding out who the culprit is before it’s too late.

I kept waiting to be swept away, but it did not happen. The only reason I kept reading was because I wanted to know who the suspect was, and what the reason was. I could not connect to the main character, who seemed too quick to pinpoint her accusations on one person. It seemed like she was going in circles, and I got bored. She was very aggressive and rude, which ended up annoying me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for my digital ARC in exchange for a review. As always, my reviews are my own and unbiased opinions.

I freaking loved this book! It was everything I could’ve wanted and more. This author can do no wrong in my eyes. This is an exciting story that has engaging twists, hanging chapters, and an interesting concept. I definitely recommend this.

Another winner from the one and only Hannah Mary McKinnon! I enjoyed the over-the-top psychotic nature of The Revenge List and had so much fun reading this one - the ending clinched it for me!

Frankie finds herself at anger management classes after promising her father (and also boss) she’d attend for 6 weeks. She’s had a rough life and she hasn’t always handled things correctly… to say the least, and her family has had enough.

At her first session of anger management she’s been tasked to write a forgiveness list. When she loses her notebook with the list, and things start happening to the people on the list, Frankie starts worrying about who will be next. Who is doing this and why?

I really enjoyed this book a lot. The book is easy to read and I found myself wanting to know more about Frankie and why someone was out to get her. The book kept me guessing and had me flip flopping a few times and what the outcome would be.

Thanks to @netgalley and @harlequintradepublishing for an advanced copy of this book.

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

In The Revenge List, Hannah Mary McKinnon takes anger-management and forgiveness and drops them on their head in a tight thriller that shows how easily a simple list can mess up your life.

Frankie Morgan has anger issues. She's had trouble with that before and when a new incident threatens the company, she ends up enrolling in an anger management program. As part of the program, she's asked to create a list of people who wronged her -- a Forgiveness List -- to help work through her anger issues. But then that list goes missing. And bad things happen to the people on that list, turning that list into what looks like a Revenge List. The story is told from Frankie's point of view.

I really liked the idea of this story. There's a whole lotta anger going on all over the place in the world today and it seemed very much in line with the times. I liked the honest portrayal of Frankie as an angry woman, because there are plenty of them in the workplace. It was easy to connect with Frankie on some level and I liked her search for who stole her notebook.

This was my first book from this author, so I wasn't sure what to expect but I did like the level of suspense that sort of ebbed and flowed for me in this tale. While the who-dun-it part wasn't difficult to figure out, it did have some twisty pages that I enjoyed. The ending was crazy and I liked that too because it stayed on my mind for a bit after reading.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. I found Frankie to be an interesting character, sometimes unlikable to I was able to connect with her and that made me invested in the story. The suspense part kept me reading in spite of some uneven pacing. I will definitely check out future titles from this author.

This book was a struggle for me just because I didn’t relate to the main character’s anger issues at all. If my toddler acted like her, I would be very disappointed in his behavior and here is a grown woman throwing fits! Other than that, I thought the storyline and idea were enjoyable. The twists and turns were fun but I just did not like Frankie!

People say Frankie Morgan is angry, argumentative and emotionally stunted. But who could blame her for feeling this way when the people around her are intolerable? Somehow, she finds herself at her first anger management class where she learns that “forgiveness is a process”…so she creates a list, of everyone who has wronged her. When the list goes missing and the people on it end up getting hurt in freak accidents, it’s not just fun and games anymore.

I loved this concept for a book! It was different from anything else I’ve read and held my attention well throughout. Thank you Netgalley and Harlewuinn Trading MIRA for the ARC! This book is out now :)

I enjoyed this book, it was a little over the top, but I like that! My only problem (and this is strictly personal) was that I really did not like Frankie. Not one bit! The story was a good one, I kind of figured it was her son but didn't really figure out who the son was. I like how it ended, thinking Jeremy was dead and finding out he isn't.

Good book. Thank you for the opportunity.

Everyone knows Frankie Morgan is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode with her anger issues. She admits it to herself, but decided to attend an anger management class to appease dear old dad. In class she writes a ‘forgiveness’ list to the people who she despises the most, herself numero uno.
The people on that list start getting into terrible accidents and she realizes this can’t be a coincidence.
Oh she is ANGRY and thinks she knows exactly who is committing these atrocities.

I wasn’t a fan of Frankie at first, but at the end she grew upon me. The ending had my stomach in knots with all the twisted reveals.

After an incident at work, Frankie is subjected to anger management therapy.
She has to write a forgiveness list, but it turns in to a hit list of sorts!
I couldn't get in to this. Frankie was a horrible character and over the top with her anger issues!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this story. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Well, I've been on a wild ride. The twist and turns in this story kept me interested to the point I finished it in one long evening. I have no idea how the author came up with the plot but brava, it's very good.

I am so thankful to Harlequin Trade Publishing/MIRA, Hannah Mary McKinnon, and NetGalley for getting advanced digital and physical copies of his book before publication day. What a seriously twisted and demented tale needing to be told. I am literally living for this book.
