ARC REVIEW NETGALLEY

I COULD NOT EVEN GET PAST THE INTRODUCTION, DNF / Do not recommended. Lack of knowledge and use of this tool without the proper teaching then wanting to pass along it in a very unknowlegable fashion but flash.

You will gain nothing from this tarot book other than to be cultish with the new age tarot community

Again I’m a 6th Generation reading, Aunts and mother grandmother etc and 30+ Years experience

There are a lot of tarot books out there. Many with very similar information, some that just contradict one another. But Your Tarot Toolkit makes learning tarot into something achievable. It provides (pardon the redundancy) a toolkit to grow your practice and connect deeper with the cards. Highly recommended for beginners and seasoned readers alike!

I loved this book. It is okay to read digitally, but I think it's best utilized with an actual paper copy. What a unique and fun way to spice up the daily drawing of tarot cards. You can tell they really put a lot of thought into affirmations, actions and reflections for each of the cards. Ru-Lee Story is a warm and inviting, but most of all, incredibly knowledgeable writer, and I look forward to what they write in the future.

This is one of better books on tarot that i've read. Not only it is written nicely and cards are explained, but it also gets you engaged so that you can learn by doing (aka pulling cards).

Tarot made actionable!

Designed for a 'daily draw', Your Tarot Toolkit works to help you understand the meaning of the standard tarot deck, while offering activities for each.
For every card you are given affirmations, meditation/writing prompts, as well as things you can try like 'start a mood board' or 'cook a new meal'. My favorite thing is that each activity also lists its difficulty in terms of time and resources needed.

Whether you are looking to learn tarot or revitalize your practice, this is the book for you! Straightforward, easy to navigate- perfect for anyone who wants to learn without 'memorizing'.

This is a really great addition to tarot resources!

The interpretations of the cards are gentle and cozy and lean into a nurturing way to use your deck. They also provide good practices to incorporate the intention of the card into your daily life.

I’ll definitely be adding this to a tool that I reach for pretty frequently.

I really liked the way this author laid out the subject matter in the book. The introduction was deep enough to engage advanced readers, but had enough basic information to help the beginners. I also loved all the affirmations, actions and reflections listed out for each card in the deck; not just the Major Arcana. This author has inspired me to pick up my cards again and start keeping a card reading journal. What more can you ask of a book? I want to thank the author, the publisher, and Netgalley for giving me an e-copy of this book, in return for an honest review.

Spectacular book!
I am a tarot novice, and I have been researching many, many tarot books. This one is unique because it provides specific steps to follow to learn the cards WHILE applying them in daily life.
The author provided a multi-page spread for each card. The card overview is written in conversational tone that feels like a good friend is sharing their wisdom.
Following the overview, the author provides several sections: Affirmations, Reflections, and Actions.
I often struggle with drawing a card, seeing the imagery, then knowing what the heck to do about it! Thankfully, this book shares a variety of helpful ideas so I can immediately take advantage of the card's guidance and apply it to my own life.
This book is a keeper that I'll certainly keep handy for years to come.

I really enjoyed this book. It's written in a warm and engaging way, and I love the way the author included examples of ways the tarot cards show up in their life. I like that they include reflection and activities options to go along with each card, so that you can connect further with the meanings and the advice of the cards. I also liked the way each suit was described at the beginning of each chapter, because it really allowed me to connect more with the various meanings of the cards.

As someone who is currently trying to learn to read tarot cards, I absolutely enjoyed this one. It is easy to follow and gives a good break down of each card, and the activities that are associated with each card really drive home the meaning and understanding. A fantastic book for beginners.

This is an informative and wonderfully written guide to Tarot. This book breaks each card down by giving a general overview of the card, and then providing affirmations, reflections and activities. The activities within this book are perfect because a lot of them are writing based or simple activities that are easier to fit into everyday life.

I really love how simply Ru-Lee explained each card. They easily breaks down what a card means without focusing solely on symbolism on the card. That means that you can use this guidebook for any tarot deck. Many tarot books focus solely on the Rider Waite decks and the symbols frequent on those decks, which quickly becomes a problem if you don’t want to use those decks. As someone who has many decks that don’t have the normal RW symbolism this book has been very helpful.

Ru-Lee also provides a lot of pop culture references to help you correspond a card with a certain type of person. I found this really helpful when trying to understand what the card was telling me because I could visualize an actual character with these traits. Overall, this was a fantastic and very helpful guide book. I highly recommend it for beginners and those trying to start a daily practice.

I can see this being a very good book for beginners. It is easy to read, and it encourages writing and reflection. Beginners can get some very good journaling here. Outcomes can vary for mid to advanced readers as it may feel a bit too simple or too basic for advanced readers. I fall in the mid-range, and I feel I can get a lot from it if I make the time to work with the book.

Overall, this is a basic and concise Tarot book to work with the cards individually. I can recommend it mainly for beginners and for mid-range Tarot practitioners. It's easy to read and very accessible. It keeps jargon and esoterica to a minimum, so it's welcoming rather than intimidating. I'd recommend it for libraries that collect pagan and/or esoteric materials, especially if they have patrons interested in Tarot. In the end, I really like this one.

As a tarot beginner I love that I can use this book to reference and give me more insight. Am definitely considering purchasing so I can get more in depth with the information.

This is an okay book if you want to get some advice based on a tarot card that you pick or choose. It offers suggestions for different ways of self-care or how to apply the card meaning in our daily lives. It also have some basic info about the cards with regard to their respective meanings. Other than that, there's nothing new in here and it is too long-winded for what it is.

I found Your Tarot Toolkit to be excellent, especially for beginners. It covers both major and minor arcana with a laid-back approach. I think it will really help my own tarot readings with the journaling recommendations as well as the easy activities to embrace the readings. Definitely purchasing for both myself and the library's collection.
