I don't like Hallmark movies, but this was a good book! Easy and quick to read. Draws you in and doesn't want to let you go. Cute for sure.

Cute book with a good storyline. I liked the main characters and how well they played together over the course of the story.

“Sweeter Than Chocolate” by Lizzie Shane couldn't have come at a better time – it's the perfect February read, especially for Valentine’s Day! The story revolves around Lucy Sweet, who's managing her family's chocolate business, and Dean, the journalist tasked with covering the famous Cupid Chocolates.
Their dynamic was something else! It felt like Lucy may have fallen first, but Dean fell even harder. By the end, I was absolutely rooting for them. Their journey was adorable, and the writing truly hit the spot. I'm definitely looking forward to watching the Hallmark movie adaptation and diving into more of this author's work.
Thank you, Netgalley and the publisher, for giving me an ARC.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of “Sweeter Than Chocolate” by Lizzie Shane. All opinions are my own.

This was the perfect book to read in February for Valentine’s day!! It follows Lucy Sweet, who is running her family’s chocolate business, and Dean the news reporter whose job it is to do a story of the famous cupid chocolates.

Perhaps a case of she fell first but he fell harder? I just loved these two by the end. Their story was cute and I thought the writing was great. Definitely will be checking out the Hallmark movie and reading more by this author.

Cute, unique and fun read! I'm a sucker for the grumpy/sunshine trope, and it was made even better with the addition of slight enemies to lovers.

This book was super fun to read! Love Shane's books and this one was no exception! The concept of magic chocolates that make people find their true love was so fun to explore. I also thought both the hero and heroine were incredibly relatable.

Sugary sweet, cute, wholesome CLOSED DOOR romance. Sometimes that's all you need! It was adorable and enjoyable.

I actually read this book when it first relseased, but for some reason forgot to review it! So, after reading it again, I feel the same way I did the first time around; I didn't hate it, but I also didn't love it. I suppose it is a charming slow-burn romance that might be great for those who love a cheesefest. Of course, knowing it is a Hallmark Movie after some research, I understand that it's possible that this book just isn't my cup of tea and others may love it!

Thank you to Netgalley & Publishers for access to an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a really fun read. It was truly sweeter than chocolate. It had the feel of a grumpy/sunshine trope with the addition of an slight enemies to lovers. I enjoyed the characters and while it was slightly slow, it was good. I’d recommend this to anyone who needs or wants a pick-me-up cutesie story.

It’s exactly what you would expect from a hallmark book! Feel good romance! I enjoy reading hallmark especially because going into the book I know I’m going to be feeling happy. This book was very sweet like chocolate!

Lucy is a proprietor and chocolatier of a small candy shop. She worried about the competitor that is opening at shop near her. As valentine is around the corner, the cupid chocolate her best friend claimed that the cupid chocolate that she ate on Valentine’s day has helped her to find her true love in the socmed. Dean is a TV reporter who does not believe in love. He was assigned to cover Lucy’s cupid chocolate story. His first meeting with Lucy went badly when he commented that the story of cupid chocolate is a scam to Lucy without knowing that she is the owner. This has created an unnecessary tension between them.

This book is an enemy to lover story happened in a small town. I love the flow of the story plot especially at the point where Dean’s opinion of love start to change in the end. Both Lucy and Dean’s chemistry is palpable in the story. Overall it was an enjoyable read to me

This was such a cute book. It did read exactly like how a Hallmark movie views? Watches? I'm not sure what word to use, but yes it's got all the Hallmark vibes one looks for in their movies. I could picture every scene as if it's a movie as I read it. Now, I'm going to go look it up to see if they did actually make a movie out of it because I would definitely watch it!

I wanted to read this book before watching the movie. And I ended up loving both! It's not a difficult formula so I knew that I was gonna love it before even starting this book. It's quick and fun, and yes a bit predictable but still so cute! If you're a fan of Hallmark romance movies, then I highly recommend reading Sweeter Than Chocolate!

A super sweet (no pun intended) story about a what I deem romantic/cynic or sunshine/grump trope that I couldn't not enjoy and sink my teeth right in to. I loved the setting, I loved the concept of the Cupid Chocolates, and I just really all in all enjoyed this fluffy read. I listened to the audiobook while I read and also enjoyed the narrators, which helped with the enjoyment immensely.

I ate this novel up, it was absolutely adorable. If you want a Hallmark inspired romance this is definitely for you. From the dual POV, to the unbelievable mention of chocolate, it was perfect. I'm not normally into a over the top, cute romances, but this surprised me and I enjoyed it.

Sweeter than Chocolate is a super adorable, borderline cheesy and completely tame romance novel that is tailor made for a Hallmark movie. Lucy and Dean are both nice and really non complicated people who work too hard and are lukewarm on love. They are surrounded by lovely people who believe in magic and help them find the magic along the way, not just in the chocolate but with each other. The interviews with the couples have a lovely When Harry Met Sally feel which was a nice bonus as well.
