Love this book-one of the first I read by the amazing Mary Higgins Clark! The story pulls you in and the suspense keeps you reading! |

I first read Where Are the Children way back in the 80s when I was a teenager. Reading it again as an adult, It still grabbed me from the beginning. There is no question that Mary Higgins Clark was a master of romantic suspense. She truly was a trailblazer in the genre. Reading this now, nearly 50 years after it was written, it still feels fresh (although there are a lot of dated references). Mary Higgins Clark has long been a favorite of mine and this reminded me of how much I love her earlier books. |

I have loved all of Clark’s books, and this is one of my favorites. This talented and gifted author has never disappointed me. This book is a cannot put down page turner. The children disappear…again? How can this happen? This is a timeless mystery that transports the reader to Cape Cod and another mystery by the best. Secrets abound and red herrings. Each time I have read this book, I discover new insights. Clark has written so many stories…enjoy this one.I am so glad this publisher is coming out with her books again. Curl up in a comfy chair…grab a cup of steaming herbal tea and a cozy blanket. Read the master of mystery. |

Mary Higgins Clark originally wrote this novel in 1975 and nearly 50 years later, it is still as thrilling to read as when it was first published. I believe this was her first commercial success with a novel and it launched a well deserved career for her. As the author was able to weave a thrilling story together and leave just enough clues for her readers to be lead astray once or twice before the big reveal. Mary Higgins Clark is a legend among suspense writers and Where are the Children? is well worth a permanent spot on your bookcase. |

Where Are the Children? by Mary Higgins Clark Pub Date: Feb.21, 2023 Simon and Schuster Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for this step back in time with this latest release of this classic. So much nostalgia reading this classic again so many years after it was first published. I appreciated the introduction and learning why MHC wrote it and what it was like to publish at that time. |

This book was like a blast from the past. I used to read Mary Higgins Clark back in the day when I was much younger. I may have even read this before, though I don’t particularly remember it. Her mysteries are usually quick and easy reads with enough breadcrumbs thrown in to steer you off track, but not so much that they get you frustrated. I read this book in two days and enjoyed the writing and the story. I did figure it out a little bit too early, which I don’t like to do, but it seemed obvious to me what was going on long before the ending. However, I would still recommend this book to those , who love Mary Higgins Clark, or who love mysteries in general. Thank you to NetGalley for the advance for you to copy. |

I've been a fan of Mary Higgins Clark and I was surprised to find I hadn't read the book that skyrocketed her into main stream success. Where Are the Children delivers the usual MHC twists and turns but always kept me guessing. I'm so glad I was able to receive an ARC of the latest edition. |
