This was another great rom com set in Hollywood by Ava Wilder. If you like a lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers between two actors on a hit tv series then this is a book that you'll love. I can't wait to read this author's next one!

Another wonderful book by Wilder! The past of Lilah and Shane is carefully constructed giving them a tense and sexy present day. Very enjoyable

I’m always on this account talking about "enemies to lovers this" and "enemies to lovers that" and most of the time they are vaguely annoyed at one another for half a chapter. These characters give us the peak of what you can accomplish with enemies to lovers without being a fantasy book where the enemies are literally at war. They despise one another, and then they give us the most wonderful slow burn that lasts almost the entirety of the book until it turns steamy as hell. I'm obsessed.

Shane and Lilah were on a popular paranormal-type show back in the day, and Lilah left to pursue a career in movies. (Tale as old as time) We flit between "Then" and "Now" and discover why Lilah and Shane are so at odds while also discovering how it will go when Lilah returns to the show in the present day.

Ava Wilder does a great job of hooking us immediately and then keeping us there for the duration. I was invested in these characters. Even though they loathe one another, I love them both very dearly. I love a book surrounding celebrities and television/movies. It changes and heightens the stakes!

This book was written for you if:
1. You are a fan of books like The Reunion by Kayla Olson or Funny You Should Ask and Once More with Feeling by Elissa Sussman
2. You like enemies to lovers that is also kind of coworkers to friends with benefits to lovers to enemies to estranged castmates to enemies to (ok I'll stop)
3. You like a slow, slow burn that catches fire just at the right time :)

Obsessed! This is my first Ava Wilder and I am a huge fan! The plot and storyline is everything. I alternated between audiobook and ebook and the audiobook is immaculate. I’m not an audio listener usually but the narrators are perfect. Highly recommend Will They or Won’t They and the audiobook! 5 stars!

I think this one is going to be big. I think a lot of people on BookTok are going to be absolutely salivating over this one. I see the appeal, I really do, however it just wasn't for me. I wasn't really invested in the couple, they didn't seem to have a personality outside of being obsessed with the other person and I honestly don't see them as a couple that lasts.

Thank you NetGalley, Ava Wilder, and Random House Publishing Group for this ARC copy of Will They or Won’t They in exchange for an honest review.

This was my second Ava Wilder read and she delivered once again.

Lilah and Shane are co-stars on one of the most popular tv shows on the network right now. Lilah is over being on the show and wants to expand her repertoire. She leaves the show, only to come back for its last season. Lilah and Shane's relationship as co-stars has been a struggle for many reasons.

Ava Wilder knows how to write enemies to lovers and second chance romances. This book had a lot of tension and build up and I loved every second of it.

I really enjoyed this fun behind the scenes romance. After leaving her hit TV show for the movies, Lilah comes back to TV to renew her screen romance with Shane. Personally they can’t stand each other but they make it real onscreen.
This time, Lilah and Shane are sharing offscreen time too, but can they actually make it work in real life? 4 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed as in this review are completely my own.

Very realistic and relatable romance! I am 2/2 on really enjoying Ava Wilder's books. I already look forward to reading her next one, as I believe she is an author who will only get better with time.

Lilah Hunter and Shane McCarthy are the stars of a hit TV show. They have quite a history fueled by chemistry, secret romance and a bitter breakup. Lilah ditched the show at the end of season five in hopes of becoming a movie star. Her movie was a flop so she returns, with her tail tucked, to film the much-hyped final season. The season where Lilah and Shane’s characters will get together at last.

But coming back means facing Shane and all the reasons she left. As much as she hates to admit it, all the feelings are still there. A fun story that gave me Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift vibes. I just reviewed “Will They or Won't They” by Ava Wilder. #WillTheyorWontThey #NetGalley

3.5 stars!

I was initially drawn to the adorable cover and the premise of a celebrity romance. Overall this was a cute read, with all the angst, but the slow burn pacing wasn’t for me.

WHAT TO EXPECT
-friends to lovers/enemies to lovers
-dual timeline
-slow burn
-second chance romance

I paired the book with the audio and loved the narration!

*many thanks to randomhouse, PRH Audio and Netgalley for the gifted copy for review

Perfection! This story is along the lines of a second chance which is one of my favorite tropes. The characters come back to a show after a few years. It was romantic, dreamy, light, fun, and meaningful. The author really nails the writing and tone of the novel. I truly appreciated the work. There were very few open-door scenes which was the perfect amount for this story because it was deep for me. A lot of the underlying meanings really shown through the romance. There was healing and so much more that kept me page-turning. I savored it! Highly recommend.

This is a book about redemption and having the chance to rewrite past mistakes replete with dramatic reunions, on-set oneupmanship, and two characters who are so stubborn yet so right for each other. Lilah and Shane are fierce whether they’re fighting each other tooth and nail or protecting each other and that made for explosive chemistry between the two. I loved the on-set moments when Lilah and Shane would have to put aside their complicated interpersonal relationship to play characters who also couldn't decide whether they loved or despised each other. It made for clashes which left me sometimes jaw-dropped and other times giggling and kicking my feet in the air.

My only gripe is I wish there were more flashbacks to their past to see them together instead of hearing the recounted version of events in the present timeline. Nevertheless I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and it is exactly as advertised: uber-romantic and super dramatic!

Excellent enemies to lovers/second chance romance tension, and it's actually believable that they would fall in love (maybe because it's really lovers to enemies to lovers?).

On a scale of 1-10, Will They Or Won’t They gets a 12 from me! I could not put this book down—it was such a great contemporary romance. The second chance trope is really well done in this book and the characters are layered and complex and come across as very genuine.

Lilah and Shane have great chemistry on screen, but off screen is a different story. They can barely stand being in the same room as one another, but years after leaving their show, Lilah has agreed to come back for a final season.

Will They or Won’t They is dual POV and has a timeline that skips around, but the pacing and story are excellent. I would recommend this to any romance reader. It gets a 5/5 from me. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Reading this came in starts and stops, much like the relationship between Shane and Lilah. This was much harder for me to get into and stay connected than How to Fake It in Hollywood. Maybe it was the split timelines? The back story was necessary, but sometimes they felt disjointed.

This definitely falls into slow burn territory for me. I love the flip on fake-dating we got at the end.

I enjoyed this book, didn't love it, but it was still good. Ava Wilder is cemented as a great beach read choice!

This novel is about two stars who have a fiery romance and then a bad break up, 5 ish years later they’re reunited for a final season. The chemistry was wild and the plot was laid out perfectly. The pacing was perfect and I was grinding my teeth waiting for them to stop enemying and start lovering. The angst was perfection. There is of course a little miscommunication trope which I usually super mega hate and didn’t love here but it wasn’t badly done or anything just not my favorite thing. You follow these characters as they work through their break up and resentment and of course fall in love again.

Wilder does so good at writing realistic characters with flaws that you don’t hate. I think a lot of authors wrote flaws in a way that make you annoyed with the character but that’s never the case here. The mental health rep was done so well. I love wilders writing style and how you’ll get a dialogue break to insert important character building then seamlessly slip back into dialogue. The writing in itself is just really phenomenal.

I know authors like to stick to their little sub genre for the first few novels but I’d love something from wilder not about famous people. I call this tendency the Ali hazelwood effect and just like her books this could quickly get worn out because the lack of variety. These two were different enough that it worked and I will say this book was even better than the first one in my opinion.

I’d like to also add here I read this in 4 straight hours and stayed up until 1 am so maybe I’ll come back and change it to 5 stars because that certainly says something.

I really liked this book! It was super fun to read! It kind of has dual POV which I loved. It's written in third POV but it switches back and forth between the two main characters so you're able to hear from them both. It was also just a fun plot line. Whenever they mentioned the show or shooting scenes for it I kept thinking of Supernatural 😭. I think the ghosts were the reason for that lol. But yeah this book is great. I found it really hard to put down and I was able to fly through it pretty quickly. The characters are also a lot of fun. I definitely recommend this!
