This book was so beautiful.

Nothing better than generations of strong women. The characters were sweet and relatable. I loved every single moment I spent reading this book.

It is definitely what you read when you need a break from the real world. This book is like hot chocolate with marshmallows in a cold morning.

Hope is struggling with her teenage daughter and her over-the-top soap star mother, Olivia Grant. Olivia keeps pushing Hope to go with her on a final trip to Graceland. But what no one knows is that Hope left Tennessee on a secret agreement, never to return and never to reveal who her daughter's father is. When Hope refuses her mother without explanation, Dylan (her daughter) and Olivia run off before Hope has time to stop them. As she tails them, trying to stop them from taking things too far, things sometimes get out of hand. It is a moving tale about family, acceptance, forgiveness and grace.

Such a fun adventure to go on about love, hope, and adventure for the mother and daughter team of Olivia and Hope. Really enjoyed this delightful romp through music, and love. Great read!

Graceland is a book about love, loss, and lies. It follows Hope, her mother Olivia, and her daughter Dylan as they try to salvage relationships with each other. This story takes place over the course of a road trip from Boston to Memphis.

All of the characters in this book are unlikable, but very much with reason. I did find myself rooting for some of them at points but I was slightly disappointed that the end wrapped up so fast. I feel like I didn't have enough time to fully like them in the end. Besides that, the ending did satisfy the plot of the book.

Overall, it was a fun book. It was a wild adventure with some minor plot twists thrown in there. If you're looking for a quick read and something not very heavy, but still with substance, definitely read this book!

This fun family adventure has multi-generational drama, lots of secrets and a whole lot of Elvis and I was all the way here for it! The road trip was entertaining and the characters were nicely layered. The story took a turn I didn't expect which I appreciated - I always enjoy an unpredictable plot. This would make a great beach read! Now I want to go to Graceland...

Thanks to Avon and Harper Voyager for the copy to review.

This is a sweet and captivating story of three generations of women--an elderly actress, her daughter, and her teenaged granddaughter, and an unauthorized trip to Memphis to see Graceland one more time. The characters are easy to connect with, and secrets are revealed as the plot unfolds.

This is a fun escape of a novel that will make you smile.

I received a free copy of this book from the publishers via Netgalley. My review is voluntary and the opinions expressed are my own.

This one was such a sweet fun book that I really enjoyed. Daughter/mother/grandmother take a road trip to Graceland to find Dylan's birth father. Graceland gave me Mamma Mia vibes. I definitely recommend this book!!

A multigenerational road trip family drama full of secrets and the complicated relationships between mothers and daughters. Former film star actress, Olivia has a last wish to visit Graceland but when she asks her daughter to drive her is surprised by her refusal. Instead, her granddaughter Dylan helps her break out of the care home and fulfil her wish.

Along the way secrets come to light in this big-hearted story with a great cast of secondary characters. I liked but didn't love this one and enjoyed the audio narration by a full cast. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review. Recommended for fans of books like A thousand miles to Graceland by Kristen Mei Chase.

This was such a fun read! I really loved getting the perspective of three generations of women and their struggles. Olivia, the grandmother, is a hoot and I would honestly read a whole book of just her backstory and her soap opera days. I really loved how the author mixed humor and heart and some tough topics. I also learned a lot about Elvis! I will definitely be recommending this to friends who are looking for an enjoyable summer read. I received an advance review copy for free and I'm leaving this review voluntarily.

Graceland follows Hope Robinson as she joins her mother, Olivia, and her daughter, Dylan, on a trip to Memphis to visit Graceland -- and to find Dylan's mysterious birth father, whose identity Hope has kept secret for her entire life.

This was a fun and heartfelt story with an interesting three-woman cast. I loved their depth and their complicated interpersonal dynamics, and I loved the journey they went on in the story. It was also a fast-paced read, light and easy to tackle in most parts, without sacrificing too much of the character and conflict depth that a novel like this has to have. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it as a quick and entertaining summer read, especially for both Elvis fans and the daughters and granddaughters of Elvis fans.

This multi-generational family road trip debut is a warm, heartfelt story. There are some over the top situations but it doesn't veer into slapstick comedy. It is set pre-2016 election, and given the setting it is interesting to consider how differently the story might play out today.

Hope is stuck in a dead end job with a diva, washed up actress mother (Olivia) and a teenage daughter (Dylan) with a hair color that drives her crazy. Dead set on seeing Graceland one more time, Olivia devises a plan and convinces Dylan to drive her across the country. The bait? Olivia knows who Dylan’s father is, a secret her mother has kept for 16 years. Hope goes on a cross country chase to find Olivia and Dylan before they find out the real truth: Hope has been honest with no one, not even herself.

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 3.5/5 stars

My thoughts:
I loved the whimsy of this book and the antics that take place in a cross country race to the truth. This book tackles some tough content, including suicidal ideation, unconscious bias and homophobia, but the book doesn’t feel too heavy due to the comedy of errors of racing across the US.

A family adventure filled with drama and secrets. So many secrets. Hope Robinson has been lying to herself and her daughter. Her daughter Dylan has been asking questions about her Dad. Hope hasn't told anyone the truth. Her mother a famous soap actress has plans and wants to go on a road trip to Graceland.

Dylan is trying to figure out who she is. Olivia and Dylan leave on the road trip without telling Hope. Hope enlists her cousin George/Jordan a crossdresser. Jordan is probably my favorite character. She's basically the only honest one. I enjoyed this book. Trying to figure out all the lies and the adventure the family endures.

This book follows 3 generations of women from the same family: Olivia (the grandmother), Hope (the mother), and Dylan (the daughter). Each woman is struggling with their own sense of self and selfishness. They use and abuse each other to further their own means without much regard for anyone else. This journey ultimately leads to Graceland in Memphis, TN; significant for each woman if their own way. When shit finally shits the fan and many lives not just the lives of the 3 women are in a state of upheaval and potential ruin, they finally start being honest with themselves and each other. Finally able to start the process of healing and becoming a less dysfunctional family.

Did not find any of the characters very likeable overall, things wrapped up a bit too nicely without much consequence for the different stunts each woman pulled. There was several pieces of dialogue that could be considered quite offensive to readers and it was very unnecessary as it didn't further the plot or character development.
